Purpose of Role
Under the direction of the Team of Room Guides and the Volunteer Officer there are several tasks that are carried out:
· To help ensure that visitors to Milton Keynes Museum enjoy an excellent visitor experience by providing good customer service at all times
· To be an ambassador of Milton Keynes Museum by informing visitors about the Museum and the collection
Key elements
After relevant training has been provided:
· Present, instruct and inform visitors and the general public about the Museum and collection
· Operate Museum artefacts and assist and instruct visitors when handling collection items
· Act as first point of contact for enquiries of all nature from visitors
· Ensure the security of the collections and buildings and monitor the functioning of exhibitions, reporting all breakdowns / inactive exhibits
· Keep the Museum clean and tidy
· Ensure the safety of Museum visitors
· Maintain Health and Safety standards and follow the procedure for reporting incidents
· Provide guided tours around the Museum

The trustee board must always act in the best interests of Oxfordshire Youth, exercising the same standard of duty of care that a prudent person would apply if looking after the affairs of someone for whom they have responsibility. Trustees are ultimately and legally responsible for everything Oxfordshire Youth does. Trustees fulfil this responsibility by deciding the strategy, establishing organisational policies and implementing appropriate monitoring, reporting and control mechanisms to ensure and evidence compliance. Trustees appoint the CEO and, on recommendation by the CEO, appoint the Senior Leadership Team to manage all operational matters and the operational team in line with the approved strategy, policies and control mechanisms.

The statutory duties of a trustee are
● Ensure that Oxfordshire Youth complies with its Articles of Association, charity law, and any other relevant legislation or regulations

● Contribute actively to the board of trustees by giving firm strategic direction to Oxfordshire Youth, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets
● Safeguard the good name and values of Oxfordshire Youth
● Ensure the effective and efficient administration of the organization
● Ensure the financial stability of Oxfordshire Youth
● Protect and manage the property of the organisation and to ensure the proper investment of the organisation’s funds
● Appoint the Chief Executive Officer and monitor performance
In addition to the statutory duties listed above, each trustee should use any specific skills, knowledge or experience they have to help the board of trustees reach sound decisions. We are seeking somebody in the Shrewsbury area or nearby with specialism in drama or performance studies to direct a new musical, The Group. This musical is all about disability and the lives of people with disability in a support group. They would need to be available Sunday afternoons 3:00pm and be able to travel to the Sundorne area of Shrewsbury.
We particularly hope to recruit somebody who is familiar with and sympathetic towards people with autism and other disabilities, who can share our vision and support all our service users to work towards being the best that they can be. This post would also be useful for somebody stuyding a performance related course wanting to gain experience of working on a production, or somebody seeking experience of working with people with Autism or disabilities.
Rehearsals will initially take place once per week in an evening at our centre at the Impact Studios, Sundorne. However, this may need to increase nearer the final performance according to availability. They would need to be able to familiarise themselves with and gain an understanding of the content of the musical, and be able to adapt this to the needs and capabilities of our cast and ensemble as necessary.

Leeds Hospitals Charity (Registered charity no. 1170369). has a fully independent Board of Trustees, who are also appointed as Directors of Leeds Hospitals Charity (Company Number 10492128), which is incorporated under the Companies Act 2006 as a private company. The Role
Leeds Hospitals Charity is looking to appoint up to four new Trustees to enhance the Board’s skills and expertise to help shape and grow the Charity to provide the best support to our NHS.
The successful candidates may have interest and insight into the issues facing health-related charities and they may also have experience as a Trustee, or in a similar role in another context, but neither of these are essential.
Trustees use their knowledge and experience to make a strategic and principled contribution to the work of the Charity, encouraging innovation and bringing to bear their analytical skills. A willingness to be challenging but constructive, and an ability to engage with detail, are essential for this role.
