Advisory

• Provide advice to line managers on employee relations (ER) issues e.g. policies, performance management, end-to-end absence management including return to work meetings, reporting and occupational health referrals etc. Able to resolve complex employee relation issues and conduct investigations where necessary.
• Provide advice to managers across all policy and practice areas, for example on family friendly policies such as maternity, paternity, shared parental leave, carers leave, etc.

Talent Acquisition and onboarding

• Ensures training requirements are met to fulfil and maintain health and safety requirements such as First Aid and Fire Safety.
• Ensures that refresher training is completed for existing employees in data protection, cyber security, health and safety, and EDI.

As Clerk to the Board of Governors

Provide procedural, regulatory, and governance advice to the Board of Governors. Responsibilities include:

• provide administrative support to the governing body, for example: co-ordinating calendar of dates for governing body meetings and preparing agendas, taking notes at meetings for the preparation of minutes and ensuring that all decisions are recorded accurately and objectively, including timescales for actions

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager with a national charity for unpaid carers on a permanent, part-time (28 hours per week) basis. As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the financial accounting functions of the organisation, for the preparation of statutory accounts, regular management reports, the preparation of all tax returns, supporting budget holders and assisting them fulfil their responsibilities, and for compliance with statutory requirements including compliance with tax laws and regulations.

As Finance Manager, you will:

- Manage the financial accounting function of the organisation

- Prepare monthly management accounts for budget holders and senior management team

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support

The Role

The role of the team manager will be to support the rest of the team in delivering interventions on a one-to-one. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The role will also include line management and supervision of senior support workers and support workers within the service. Team managers are responsible for management of their site; including report writing, audits and being the named manager for the site and allocated borough following the borough-based approach. This role directly supports the service managers in keeping to a high standard service. The role will include implementing a smooth running of the service including facilitating debriefing and providing senior support onsite. The role of the team manager is non-clinical.

Democracy Classroom is a partnership of over 100 civil society organisations from the youth, education and democracy sectors working together to support young people to engage in elections and democracy. 

The network is supported by the Democracy Classroom Platform, which brings together over 1000 free educational resources for teachers and youth practitioners.

Democracy Classroom is a non-partisan, UK-wide initiative and a leading voice for the sector, reaching teachers and youth practitioners in 95% of the UK’s parliamentary constituencies. It coordinates the collective voice of organisations committed to democratic education, including through its joint submission to the Department for Education’s Curriculum and Assessment Review and the publication of The Roadmap to Votes at 16, a collaborative vision for the implementation of Votes at 16.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Partnerships Manager to strengthen and grow our connections across the youth, education and democracy sectors. You will play a key role in expanding and deepening the Democracy Classroom Network, helping to increase its reach, visibility and impact on democratic education across the UK.

The role will support organisations to prepare for and collaborate on upcoming changes in democratic engagement and education - such as the introduction of Votes at 16 - ensuring the sector is coordinated, informed and ready to respond collectively.

This is a dynamic, people-focused role supporting more than 100 partner organisations to collaborate, share learning and deliver joined-up support for teachers and youth practitioners. You will combine excellent relationship-building with the ability to think strategically, spot opportunities and translate them into practical action.

You will work closely with the Head of Communications and Networks, the Communications Lead, and colleagues across The Politics Project to ensure that partners are supported, connected and able to collaborate effectively. The role blends strategic relationship management with hands-on coordination and communication.

Key responsibilities include:

Partnership management

• Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with over 100 existing civil society partners.
• Act as the main point of contact for partner queries, feedback and support.
• Identify and onboard new organisations to join the Democracy Classroom Network.
• Facilitate partner input into planning, decision-making and shared problem-solving.

Strategic development and coordination

• Identify new opportunities for collaboration, policy influence and sector engagement.
• Advise senior colleagues on partnership trends, risks and emerging opportunities.
• Develop and deliver partner communication strategies, ensuring information and opportunities are shared clearly and consistently.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams to ensure joined-up delivery and coherent partner messaging.

Engagement and representation

• Plan and deliver Democracy Classroom meetings, training sessions and networking events.
• Represent The Politics Project at external meetings and events, acting as an ambassador for our collaborative and non-partisan approach.

Monitoring and reporting

• Track partner engagement, feedback and satisfaction to inform continuous improvement.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and reporting to demonstrate the impact of the network.

This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team. The post includes a six-month probation period and is fixed-term until March 2027, with potential for extension depending on funding. Occasional travel within the UK and some evening or weekend work will be required.

Business development & Partnership building

1. Identify funding opportunities by keeping abreast of the funding landscape, as well as trends within the international development and Modern Slavery/Human Trafficking sectors, assessing new market opportunities, and forming partnerships. 2. Lead on donor grant agreement/contract negotiations and compliance.

3. Ensure all relevant team members are fully briefed on the terms and conditions of donor grant agreements/contracts, including key deadlines (completion of grant management documents as required).

4. Manage due diligence processes, facilitate donor audits and support the programmes team on external evaluations for donor funded projects.

1. Travel is expected as part of the role, including to Hope for Justice Programmes.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or major donor pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

What the job involves

We’re looking for a creative and motivated account management professional to join our team at an incredibly exciting time for Prostate Cancer UK. You’ll be responsible for managing some of Prostate Cancer UK’s flagship charity partnerships.

The Partnerships Executive handles the management and development of Prostate Cancer UK’s strategic partnerships. You’ll be able to drive impact and value for both the charity and partners.

You’ll be working closely with key stakeholders to raise awareness amongst local communities across the UK and raise funds to invest into better treatments for men with prostate cancer. This role offers the chance to build strong and effective relationships both internally and externally and ensure that each partnership meets its goals. It will be necessary to show a diligent approach to partnership management as well as identify opportunities for growth. You’ll also be providing administrative support to the partnerships team including review of processes and ownership of monthly / quarterly reporting.

This is a six-month fixed term contract covering internal secondment within the team.

This is an important role, where the ideal candidate will be working closely with the Senior Finance Manager, encompasses a wide range of responsibilities. Within the financial accounts team the Senior Accounts Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the financial systems and processes are operating as designed and within agreed timelines.

With the Senior Finance Manager the Senior Accounts Assistant will allocate appropriate finance tasks between this role and the Senior Finance Technician. They will also oversee the outputs of the financial accounts team to ensure they are to an acceptable standard.
