British Heart Foundation (BHF) is undergoing a digital transformation and seeking an Information Security Manager to oversee Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) within the security team and ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
Joining a dynamic and growing information security team at an exciting point in the charities history you’ll collaborate with teams across British Heart Foundation (BHF) to protect BHF’s objectives and integrity. Responsibilities include risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and maintaining a robust governance framework.
Working within the Information Security GRC team, you'll enhance security, compliance, and risk posture in line with industry standards while maintaining ethical practices.
Working arrangements
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
About you
This opportunity would suit an experienced GRC professional who excels in a collaborative environment and has hands-on risk management and reporting experience.
With previous experience within an InfoSec GRC team, you’ll have strong knowledge of working with the following:
• Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) for a Tier 1 merchant
• General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) v2.0
• Critical Security Controls Libraries such as CIS Controls
• Cyber Essential Plus (CEP)
With proven experience in delivering complex GRC activities within a fast-paced and dynamic security domain, you’ll have previous experience of working within a risk management framework as well as Cloud Security governance.
To be successful in this role you’ll also have the following skills and experience:
• Effective at building relationships across a large complex organisation and influencing stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex security-related matters into terms that are easily understood by colleagues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Cyber Security Analyst
Location: Burton Upon Trent
Salary: Up to £55,000

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing threat and vulnerability management within the organisation. They will monitor, analyse and respond to security incidents and alerts.
You will act as a security champion within the organisation, ensuring that security best practice is embedded within IT policies and procedures, and upskill the wider business to ensure heightened awareness in day-to-day activities.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Proven experience in threat and vulnerability management.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Defender, MDM solutions, Azure Security Centre and Entra.
- One or more relevant security qualifications, such as: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security +, Microsoft SC-200 / AZ-500.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on emerging threats.
- Ability to translate technical risks into business impacts.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools and incident response processes.

The Admin Co-Ordinator plays a vital role in ensuring our Community Services run smoothly, allowing survivors and their loved ones to receive timely and vital support. You’ll help manage the process of accurately recording client data from the point of referral to closure, assist with audits, and support general facilities and operations management. You’ll also occasionally provide admin support to our prison-based programmes, facilitating consistent standards across all areas of our work. Through this work, you will directly advance our mission to break the silence and support healing for men affected by sexual harms. You’ll work closely with the Information & Data Manager and Senior Operations: Data Analyst and, as needed, the Executive Leadership Team, modelling our values of Transparency, Integrity, Understanding and Responsiveness in everything you do.
About You
We Are Survivors are looking for an organized and proactive individual who takes pride in accuracy and delivery. You can juggle priorities, communicate clearly both written and orally, and maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information. You’re confident using the Microsoft Office Package. Specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel. You should ideally be comfortable working with databases to manage client information and assist with regular audits. You bring empathy and professionalism, and you live our values of Transparency, Integrity, Understanding and Responsiveness, helping create safe, inclusive spaces for clients and colleagues. Experience with minute-taking, facilities management, and working in confidential or VCSE settings is a bonus, as is an understanding of issues relating to male sexual harms.
