Working with agencies, including a digital mobilisation agency, The Senior Individual Giving Officer will be responsible for leading growing our individual donor and supporter base and delivering an excellent supporter experience.   

  

You’ll need to be a digital native with experience in building digital-focused approached to supporter acquisition and development.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Administrator to support our Fundraising activities, ensure the smooth running of our UK office and assist our Leadership Team. This is a vital role in our work to build peace by tackling the root causes of conflict in some of the world’s most challenging contexts.

The Fundraising and Operations Administrator plays a critical role in a small team.

Job Purpose:

1. Fundraising administration and donation processing

Areas of responsibility:

1. Fundraising administration and donation processing

Cord has a loyal and committed UK supporter base of individual donors. The primary focus of this role is to support fundraising which involves

- the processing of donations and donation record keeping using a range of digital payment systems, entering records in to the supporter database, maintaining gift aid records and coordinating with finance colleagues regarding fundraising income.

- providing high quality supporter care to Cord's donors by assisting with the mailing of newsletters, writing thank you letters and notes to donors, and fielding enquiries promptly and politely.

- a range of other fundraising tasks including administering alternative gifts, helping with reports, liaising with payment platforms to ensure smooth processes, and supporting the preparation of resources for fundraising activities.

2. Running the admin office

Cord operates a predominantly remote working structure in the UK. However, there is a small admin office in Coventry which acts as a hub for the team with desks, resources and record storage. This role is responsible for overseeing this office and ensuring that remote office services run effectively. This involves organising the phone system and providing a reception service, managing mail procedures and monitoring office email accounts. It includes keeping the office in good order by managing supplies and storage, liaising with office suppliers, contractors and building agents. It also involves maintaining key holder registers, coordinating office access for the team, fulfilling health and safety requirements such as regular assessments and updating records, inducting and maintaining health and safety awareness amongst staff, when home working and working elsewhere, and providing logistical support for UK team meet-ups including sourcing venues and refreshment suppliers.

3.  Providing admin support around Cord's global operations

Cord has programmes in eight countries throughout Africa and Southeast Asia with offices and staff in four of them. The Fundraising and Operations Administrator plays a critical role in supporting operations to support the smooth running of the organisation's internal services. This involves:

 - IT systems: supporting the digital onboarding and offboarding of staff, purchasing and disposal of computer devices, maintaining records of current system users and liaising with Cord's external IT service provider on the issuing and billing of IT licences.

- Digital record systems: to support the organisation of Cord’s knowledge management system SharePoint, keeping key organisation administration information current, maintaining digital records in accordance with GDPR.

- Human resources: supporting recruitment processes, DBS applications, reference checks, monitoring employment contract terms, liaising with Cord's external HR advisor on employment contracts and policy amendments, supporting staff inductions, HR system record keeping and reporting.

- Finance: to carry out some routine finance tasks such as verifying petty cash counts, being a bank signatory that country reviews payments against approval documents.

- support to the Leadership Team with other operational tasks as required.

About you

To succeed in this role you will be a team player who is self-motivated with an ambition to help the organisation to improve systems, processes and information sharing. The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to anticipate the needs of colleagues working remotely in the UK and abroad. They will be highly organised, with the ability to maintain records diligently, and deliver routine tasks to schedule whilst also being able to improve system and process processes that continually increase efficiency. They will need to be comfortable using and adapting to a wide range of digital tools. They will have a close eye for detail, be numerate and able to interact with a diverse range of people.

We understand that people may not have all the desired prior knowledge and experience but here are some that would be beneficial, although they could be learned whilst in post:

IT Officer - part time 3 days a week role - National

We're looking for an IT Project Manager to join our Data and IT team. The IT Project Manager will oversee the planning, implementation and tracking of assigned IT projects within the charity. Kinship care begins in crisis. A child whose parents are unable to care for them, for whatever reason. It’s frightening, confusing and heart-breaking. Instinctively, a loved one steps in – a grandparent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or family friend. They are now a kinship carer, bringing up the children they love. It’s life changing and challenging raising children who’ve been hurt or neglected, but kinship carers do it anyway because they put the children first. 

Kinship have been awarded funding from the Department for Education to deliver the first ever national training programme to support kinship carers in their caring role. We are at the start of that journey.

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.

Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. You’ll plan, co-ordinate and support the successful delivery of all our online and in-person events, including being available and involved as needed on site. 

In this role, you’ll travel across England and may have overnight stays from time to time. We offer training and support to enable you to be successful in your role and we’re happy to discuss requirements if you have kinship caring responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing highly effective project management and administrative support to the training programme, including supplier communication, coordinating programme logistics and delivery of all relevant general and financial administration tasks, e.g. scheduling meetings, providing agendas, writing briefings, minute-taking, monitoring expenditure and organising events, training and workshops.
• Being the first point of contact for the team, for both internal and external purposes, communicating effectively with kinship carers, internal training team, external delivery partners and other stakeholders to coordinate and confirm all training activity.

Essential requirements include:

• Proven experience in event planning and management. You will need previous experience being responsible for organising large events (over 50 people). 
• Experience of developing and implementing administrative systems and processes that enable team effectiveness. You will need a minimum of 1 year’s administration experience.

We are recruiting a full-time Funding Officer working across Birmingham & Solihull on a fixed term contract up until December 2024. 

You’ll be part of a team of 6, led by two Funding Managers and working alongside 3 other full time Funding Officers, as part of The Birmingham & Solihull patch which works within a larger Midlands team.

Ideally you will live in or near to Birmingham and have an excellent knowledge of the city. This role is classed as mobile working which means you will be expected to work from and visit several locations across the area, including your home. The ability to drive and have access to a vehicle is therefore beneficial, although not essential.

• You will assess applications for funding and manage grants using local knowledge, best practice, thematic expertise and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making.
• You will have a strong understanding of our vision, our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and our funding products.
• You will also need to support our stakeholders, helping them to make connections that will help them achieve their goals.
• Being responsible for a pipeline of projects you will need to understand and respond to the diverse needs of our customers by providing advice and considered feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.
• You will manage your own caseload, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, support organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact.

You will also need to work within the Fund’s policies and procedures and the necessary legislation, in a way that is in line with our vision and principles.

You will represent the Fund within your local area, including at funding fairs and external meetings, creating opportunities for people to come together. You will share learning from your role with other colleagues so that we can maximise our impact.

• Understanding of financial planning, ability to analyse accounts and numerical data and to identify and manage risk.

We are excited to be recruiting a School Partnerships Officer to join the School Partnerships Team. You’ll work to deliver the goals set out in Join the Club, our ambitious strategy for 2021-2026, specifically building partnerships with schools to deliver our  school facing interventions.

Your job will be to raise awareness of our programmes and transform expressions of interest into school partnerships. You will be responsible for a geographical area, creating a sales and partnerships plan and proactively reaching out to schools to generate opportunities and convert them into sales and signups. You will use your relationship building, influencing and selling skills to engage schools, trusts and networks to fulfil our charity mission in your area. If you are passionate about communicating with different audiences, quickly building relationships, and meeting ambitious targets that have a huge social impact, this could be the perfect role for you. This role will require you to become an expert on our programmes so that you can confidently discuss their features and benefits with key stakeholders. This isn’t about administering a process; it’s about understanding the needs of the schools and pupils in your area and how our programmes can support their priorities. You will be tenacious and empathetic in equal measure. You will also work to improve the efficiency of our internal systems, so teachers have the best experience communicating with us.

The role will report to the Director of School Sales and Partnerships. It can be based at any of our four Brilliant Club offices, located in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Cardiff.

 About You

• Experience of partnership building or selling a programme, product or service to schools, trusts, or other education sector stakeholders

Our mission is to expose and dismantle the cultural and commercial forces driving all forms of sexual exploitation in the UK. Sexual exploitation does not occur in a vacuum, and only by addressing the wider context can we hope for real, lasting change.
As a charity, we join the dots between our hypersexualised, objectifying, pornified culture and public attitudes and behaviours towards sex:
• We demonstrate how the mass consumption of online pornography depicting the humiliation, violation and degradation of women and children has realworld consequences.
• We shine a light on the widespread exploitation and harm caused by commercial sex industries that undermine our human rights.

CEASE is looking for an experienced policy officer with a passion for ending all forms of sexual exploitation. Reporting to the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, the role will entail political advocacy, relationship building across stakeholders, including Parliament and research and policy analysis.
