Job summary:
We are looking for an experienced Designer to lead Product and Service Development priorities from our growing Design and Innovation Team at BookTrust.
The Designer, Product and Service Development will lead on activating the key design priorities that have come out of our new strategy. The successful candidate will need to be a multiskilled, ambidextrous designer who can apply human-centered design approaches to online and offline products/services and design end-to-end experiences.
We’re looking for someone with a track record of working with multiple functional teams to design brilliant products and/or services and who has hands-on, practical design experience.
The successful candidate would be involved in projects such as; developing a new group storytelling offer, setting up new co-design cohorts and experimenting with approaches, leading the definition of a new age range product for our early years subscription Story Explorers.

Key Deliverables include

• Lead the design of new products or re-fresh our existing products using design thinking/human-centered approaches. This may include a variety of types of online and offline products incl digital touchpoints and content, in person experiences, resources and books, engagement and training.
• Work with our Research & Impact team to establish a robust design learning approach, that supports us to make rapid progress in designing and delivering new or improved products.
• Work closely with our supply chain, IT, digital, books and content teams to develop prototypes and pilots that will test and refine our product offerings.
• Build strong relationships and influence at all levels and across multidisciplinary teams
• Support the transfer of new/re-developed products into business as usual by engaging and briefing key delivery teams and maintaining oversight of the product.
• Create excellent documentation including concept boards and low fidelity prototypes, process maps, ecosystem maps, journey maps and design briefs to enable product design.
• Work with the relevant D&I team lead to make sure design work aligns to the strategic plan and ambition.

Key Experiences Include

• Has strong practical experience of using design thinking or human centered design approaches to develop new or improve existing products and services (at least 3 years)
• Has an understanding of and experience working across the end-to-end design lifecycle from creating hypotheses, research, synthesising, ideation, prototyping, testing, and iterating.
• Has good workshop design and facilitation skills and can get the best out of cross-functional teams.
• Can adapt their approach to suit different stakeholders and working styles – values progress over perfection.
• Is excited by joining a changing team and transforming organisation.
• Is comfortable doing user testing and research as part of their design work.
• Can execute prototypes and pilots, drawing on cross-organisational skills and expertise.
• Is experienced in designing products that are online, offline or a combination of the two.

If you’re someone who loves using data to solve real-world problems and help shape organisational strategy, you could be just who we’re looking for. You’ll need to be comfortable working with large datasets, putting your data mining and analytical skills to good use.

Experience-wise, we're looking for someone familiar with analytics tools like Tableau, Faststats, or similar. You should also be comfortable with SQL and skilled at making the most of data from a variety of sources. First-hand experience with CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge would be advantageous, especially in the charity sector, and if you're curious about data science or even have experience in this area, even better.

As well as excellent analytical skills, you’ll have a naturally inquisitive mind and a passion for problem-solving. Immigration Caseworker/Solicitor

The post-holder will provide advice and casework in the category of immigration, nationality and asylum law. This project will focus on casework for domestic violence victims referred by Local Authorities and other partners across London. They will also work closely with partner agencies providing consultancy and taking referrals of individuals and families needing immigration advice. The post holder must also undertake training and provide second tier support for community agencies.

IKWRO - Women’s Rights Organisation is a registered charity (number 1151507) which supports Middle Eastern women and girls living in the UK who are facing “honour” based violence, forced marriage, domestic violence or female genital mutilation.

About the role

We have a new and exciting opportunity to work with us as an Evidence Officer, working as part of the Strategy, Impact and Evidence team. 

Sustrans’ Strategy, Impact and Evidence team is a leading centre of excellence in active travel research, monitoring and evaluation and we are recruiting now. As an Evidence Officer, you will work on a range of behaviour change and infrastructure projects, providing monitoring, evaluation, and analytical support. The Strategy, Impact and Evidence teamplays an important part in supporting our vision by providing robust evidence on sustainable and active travel that ultimately influences and shapes policy, practice and behaviour across the UK.

Focusing on monitoring and evaluating the impact of infrastructure and behaviour change programmes, you will work on a range of projects around the UK and be involved in the planning, delivery, analysis and reporting of our monitoring and evaluation work. 

We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and occasional travel to a nearby office hub. There is minimal travel required in this role, however in the course of your work you may have to travel to one of the nominated hubs or project sites if required to do so. 

About you

You should have demonstrable quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills, and be a competent Excel user or have working knowledge of statistical software, such as R.

As an excellent communicator in both oral and written forms, you will have with the ability to present data and findings clearly. You should also have the capability to find innovative and creative solutions to problems.

You will own some experience of project management as well as delivery of project monitoring and evaluation. You should also have some experience of working and communicating with suppliers, partners and/or clients.

As a Consultant, you will manage a variety of evaluation, learning and co-design consultancy projects with charitable funders, charities, local authorities and public bodies. To provide information, advice, support and advocacy to the women living within our refuge. You will be responsible for providing women with continuous one-to-one support, practical advice and advocacy and ensuring that the women receive comprehensive support that addresses their physical and mental health, social care, housing, immigration and benefit-related needs.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide  a  professional  high-­quality  VAWG  advocacy  and  outreach  service.

2. Undertake  casework  and  advocacy  (this  will  include  liaising  with  relevant  professionals  and  agencies  such  as  solicitors,  social  workers,  police  officers  etc.) 

3. Provide  practical  support  such  as  accompanying  women  to  appointments  and  courts,  making  reports  to  such  agencies  or  collecting  belongings  and  otherwise  taking  all  necessary  steps  to  ensure  the  general  safety  and  wellbeing  of  women  and  children. 

4. Write  assessment  reports  and  support  letters,  and  under  supervision,  help  to  collect  evidence  and  statements,  as  well  as  undertake  some  basic  legal  representation.

5. Undertake risk assessments for referral to the Multi-­Agency Risk Assessment Conferences  (MARACs) 

6. Establish  links  with  key  partners  [local  authority,  police,  health,  schools,  etc.]  to  ensure  effective  referral  routes  and  information  sharing  protocols.

7. Assist  in  developing  and  meeting  quality  standards  in  relation  to  advice  and  casework.  This  includes  administration  and  IT  systems  for  advice  and  casework. 

8. Cover the helpline as required.

9. Assist migrant women to access immigration advice, and assist in meeting their housing needs.

10. To  undertake  campaigning  and  policy  work  arising  from  the  advice  and  casework  (this  may  involve  some  weekend/evening  work)

11. Where  necessary  to  assist  staff  in  organising  and  running  support  group  activities  and  consultations  for  women  who  are  isolated  and  vulnerable  due  to  their  experiences  of  violence  and  abuse.

12. To  publicise  and  provide  S4S  services,  and  attend,  contribute  and  represent  the  organisation  at  relevant  local  meetings  or  initiatives. 

13. To  support and mentor the Women’s Council.

14. Follow  S4S policies  and  procedures,  and  maintain  IT  and  case  file  management  systems.

15. Contribute  to  S4S  record  keeping  and  provide  information  for  monitoring,  evaluation,  policy,  and  research  and  training  purposes. 

16. Ensure  women  are  referred  to  S4S  projects  and  activities  as  required  for  example,  counselling or group work.

17. Support women residing in the refuge as required.

18. Be  self-­servicing  and  to  assist  other  workers  when  required. 

19. Undertake  any  additional  duties  which  will  contribute  to  the  smooth  running  of  the  S4S services  and  projects.

The Role 
Working within our International Partnerships, Programmes and Research (IPPR) team, you will develop, accompany, and coordinate locally-led peacebuilding projects, partnerships and networks, primarily in conflict-affected countries in the Great Lakes and Central Africa regions of Africa. You will also support the coordination of partnerships and engagement with local peacebuilding efforts in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) within our multi-year programme ‘Local First: Transforming the Peacebuilding System’, funded by the Dutch MfA.

As Senior Partnerships and Programmes Officer you will work closely with our SPOs who manage existing partnerships and create opportunities to bring partners together to learn from one another. You will also support the development, coordination and delivery of Local First, working closely with the International Programmes Manager and Peace Direct’s Netherlands Country Representative.

We are looking for someone with experience supporting peacebuilding, development or humanitarian projects, with a good understanding of peacebuilding approaches, and who can build effective, trust-based relationships with local partners. You must be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively, have excellent organisational skills and be able to work in both English and French.

About You:

This role is for you if you are self-motivated and an experienced relationship fundraiser and driven to ensure that targets are hit and projects are delivered to the highest possible standards.

You will have demonstrable experience of managing 4 and 5-figure+ gifts from donors and be a sophisticated communicator with the confidence to build relationships with and inspire colleagues and donors.

Essential role requirements include:

• Previous major donor fundraising experience

About the Role

You will ensure the effective maintenance and development of Salesforce to support The Access Project’s programme delivery, volunteer recruitment, and partnerships management. You will have full oversight of the system, independently making updates (e.g. reports, fields, custom objects, flows, and user management) and escalating complex needs to Impact Box or the line manager. As the first point of contact for user requests, you will assign and manage queries to ensure timely resolution. The platform integrates with Moodle, requiring collaboration across teams to support online learning and ongoing functionality improvements aligned with organisational goals.

Role responsibilities include:

· Salesforce administration, including managing user roles, permissions, page layouts, custom objects, and flows.

· Troubleshooting issues, data cleansing and implementing secure system changes.

· Evaluating and deploying Salesforce updates, manage Mass Action Schedulers and document workflows. Advising on system development viability and working in sandbox environments to test and deploy changes effectively.

About You

Someone with previous experience implementing, configuring, or administering Salesforce (1-2 years) would be ideal, as would having experience in an educational or non-profit organisation, but this isn’t essential.

Skills and Competencies:

· Salesforce administration: Ability to manage and maintain user accounts, profiles, roles, and permissions.

· Reporting and dashboards: Knowledge of how to configure and maintain custom report types, reports, and dashboards

· Customisation and configuration: Ability to configure, build, and maintain custom Salesforce functionality including custom objects, fields, page layouts, process builders, flows, and workflows

· Data cleaning: Good knowledge of Excel to cleanse and analyse data (knowledge of Power Query desirable)

· Integration: Knowledge of Salesforce integrations such as Form Assembly or Zapier (desirable), and how to import and export data into Salesforce using Dataloader, XL Connector, or equivalent

You will be a strategic leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate and influence to drive change. You will be ready to travel internationally, including to insecure and conflict-affected areas, and have a solid understanding of geopolitical dynamics and their security impact.
