Job description

Sustrans is the charity making it easier for people to walk and cycle. We connect people and places, create liveable neighbourhoods, transform the school run and deliver a happier, healthier commute.  We are now seeking a key individual to become part of our team in Scotland. 

Partnerships Officer, The Leven Programme

(Ref: SUS2803)

£27,255 per annum

37.5 hours per week – initial contract to January 2021 - based in Fife

The key purpose of this role is to provide assistance to the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency to work with several major stakeholders to deliver infrastructure projects to promote active travel in Leven, in particular active travel routes around the final 5km of the River Leven.  Delivery will include scoping, community engagement and leading delivery of paths and routes.

Educated to a degree level or equivalent, you will have demonstrable experience of project management and successful partnership working.  You will have experience of working with landowners, of community consultation and of working with consultants and contractors.  Knowledge and understanding of infrastructure and design and in particular best practice in providing for people cycling and walking in urban environments is essential.

Closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 9am on Wednesday 27 November 2019.  Interviews will take place in Glenrothes on Monday 9 December 2019.
