About the role

Job Summary
Reporting to the Head of IT, this position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the IT network within CARE International UK and the all the European Offices. The 2nd Line Support Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting computer communication networks within CARE Offices. About you
The IT team is looking for an enthusiastic, committed, and professional 2nd Line Support Engineer with considerable experience working as a network/infrastructure engineer at various levels. We are looking for an individual with experience in cloud platforms (Azure) and cloud migration methodologies, scripting languages (PowerShell) and knowledge of ITIL frameworks. It is therefore essential that the applicant is aware this role requires a wide range of server, O365, application, and network skill set to deliver a first-class support service and ensure IT Support runs within agreed SLAs.

About the Role
We are looking for a technologist to help us in the next phase of scaling our web platform and supporting the communities we serve. To date our tech support has all come through an external team, and now we are excited to add an in-house role with significant support from our experienced (part-time) CTO and an external team.
You will work across a range of technologies on a variety of problems, which may include working with the team to triage urgent bugs; making improvements in our testing setup and CI/CD pipeline; understanding and investigating our data; supporting with IT issues; and more.
This is a flexible role in a growing charity, with the opportunity to build and deploy solutions from the ground up. As well as our CTO, the former lead engineer will be on hand to answer questions and support (0.2FTE), and the team developing features has experience working on this app. We will look to expand this team over time as the charity continues to grow.

Reporting to the Infrastructure and Service Desk Manager within the Technology Team. The role of the Technical Engineer (Data management and compliance) will work primarily to ensure that we comply with various legislative and regulatory requirements around our unstructured data.
The role will need to heavily engage and work alongside the different business areas to deliver the position's requirements.
The role will require:
· Good understanding of various data types and data structures.
· Good knowledge of full-text search engines and how Elasticsearch works.
· Utilisation of data management toolsets such as Reveal.
· Knowledge of legislative & regulatory areas and what this means for data management.
· Understanding of data security.
About You
· Experience working in a data management or a technology security role
· Good level of literacy/written communication skills
· Good level of verbal communication skills
· Professionalism and integrity
