The Senior Direct Marketing Executive is a key role within the Acquisition & Development Team. They will be driving collaborative working as they lead on cross functional digital projects across Brand, Fundraising and more! We are looking for a digital expert who thrives in an independent working environment and who can hit the ground running to lead on email strategy, a digital fundraising audit and the projects that arise from that. They should be solutions focused, proactive, innovative and collaborative.

Location/base: This role will be based from home, but will require regular travel to London, Birmingham and other Trust locations for meetings and team days. 

Key Accountabilities:

• Reviewing, owning and implementing our Digital Fundraising Audit project – taking the actions to complete the audit, and also leading on the workstreams that come out of it.
• Leading on email strategy and becoming a super user of Marketo, our email platform, and continuously looking to optimise ways of working regarding emails.
• Leading on onward journeys and reporting on them on a regular basis.
• Working closely with the CRM Manager and Supporter Journey Manager to ensure excellent supporter experience, clear data flows and journey maps are completed for all digital campaigns.
• Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders – from brand marketing and web development teams to creative and paid media agencies.
• Working closely with the Acquisition Team to help us deliver detailed digital analysis of campaigns.
• Ensuring we explore new and innovative digital opportunities, while remaining compliant.
• Reforecasting income and expenditure for areas of responsibility.
• Support the wider Individual Giving & Legacy team as required, including stewardship of other donor audiences during peak seasons and campaign support as required and agreed with their team manager. 

Person Specification

Essential

• Demonstrable digital experience, particularly within a role or organisation focused on conversion and direct response
• Strong interpersonal skills, skilled at building internal and external relationships.
• Experience of analysing digital campaign performance and optimising in order to meet fundraising targets.
• Experience of email marketing and email marketing platforms.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects forward proactively.

As our Senior Product Owner, supporting work in our Medical team, you’ll lead the development and management of our cutting-edge new Azure Databricks Data Intelligence Platform in partnership with the Health Insights team. 

This platform will play a crucial role in advancing our analytics capabilities, helping measure, evaluate and share the impact of the research we fund and the health and care projects we deliver, as well as ultimately improving patient outcomes through data-driven insights.

About the role

You will provide key day-to-day support to ensure the effective, high-quality delivery of programmes and training initiatives. This involves coordinating communications, managing event logistics, contributing to reporting, supporting grant administration, and maintaining digital systems. You will work closely with the Programmes team and the Training team to ensure smooth planning, implementation, and evaluation of programme activities and training.

Programmes Delivery Support (50% time)

• Provide day-to-day support to Programme Managers in delivering activities on time and within budget, including coordinating internal communication, logistics, and scheduling.

• Organise and manage training sessions, webinars, and events; support the full re-granting process from due diligence to tracking and correspondence.

• Assist with data collection and analysis, support evaluation efforts, contribute to reporting and storytelling, and help maintain accurate internal and external programme materials.

Training Delivery Support (50% time)

• Oversee the full lifecycle of training programmes, from recruitment and enrolment to delivery and follow-up, ensuring a meaningful participant experience.

• Manage and improve digital infrastructure, tools (e.g. learning management software, scheduling, forms, email platforms), session logistics, and team coordination to support efficient training delivery.

• Collect and organise participant feedback and engagement data, contribute to reporting, and troubleshoot issues while identifying opportunities to enhance systems and user experience.

The successful candidate will be joining the organisation during an interesting period, and be curious, with a strong analytical mind and ability to interpret financial information, and be articulate. 

Responsibilities

• Ensure that there is a sound understanding of business areas in terms of both present as well as forecasted performance.
• Work with budget holders on the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that any advice/support in understanding the numbers is provided in a timely manner, and that they and senior management are supported in their decision making.

About the role

Our People and Culture team are hiring a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the team to support with ensuring our staff are paid efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will play a pivotal part of the team to support with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any additional relevant activities. You will utilise the tools and resources available to ensure we meet the needs of all our stakeholders and comply with legal matters. The role will further include:

• Taking ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process, being the point of contact for enquiries in this area.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Acting as a first point of contact for the Toy Appeal, responding to enquires from organisations wishing to take part in the appeal, as well as internal colleagues receiving gifts for service users.

3. Matching gift requests with pledges from donors and preparing information on gift requests.  

4. Maintaining a live list of all requests for gifts from approx. 60 services and projects, and over 100 companies and community groups, updating as matches are made and requests are filled.   

5. Building positive relationships with corporate donors through written and verbal communications, including email, telephone and occasionally meetings/visits where appropriate.   

6. Co-ordinating deliveries of gifts from donors to projects, ensuring needs and requirements of both parties are met.   

7. Accurately creating and maintaining donor and donation records on Family Action’s Salesforce based CRM system.  

8. Assisting the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Fundraising Administrator with donation processing and administration.   

9. Stewarding Toy Appeal fundraisers, encouraging the use of fundraising platforms such as JustGiving, providing fundraising materials and sharing the impact of their fundraising.

10. Researching to find suppliers for gifts that need to be purchased using donated funds.   

11. Supporting the Marketing and Communications team by providing regular information and updates about the appeal.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Marine Scientist to play a substantive role to support all of Oceana’s UK campaigns. Research, science and data are at the heart of Oceana’s UK work, underpinning our policy positions, creating campaign moments and answering key questions with new research.

The successful candidate will write and project manage research to unlock key campaign questions relating to overfishing, habitat protection and energy in particular, as well as other potential campaign areas in future. They will also work to increase Oceana’s presence within the academic community, attending relevant conferences and meetings and seeking future collaborations on topics of interest.

The Scientist will report to and be supported by the Director of Policy and Research, and work closely with science colleagues across the Oceana global network and beyond. Eligible candidates should have some experience in conducting research, including analysing data, but we’re equally looking for passion, motivation and a drive to protect the ocean. You should be a self-starter, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a small but growing team.

Role Overview

• Support the delivery of Oceana’s campaigns, working with the Director of Policy and Research and relevant campaign teams.
• Research, draft and/or review content for Oceana’s scientific reports and other external communications, with particular attention to scientific accuracy.
• Gather evidence to support Oceana’s UK campaigns, including analysing primary and secondary data, conducting literature reviews and creating position papers.

Candidate Requirements

Education and work experience

• Degree, ideally masters-level, in environmental, fisheries or marine science, or a related field.

• Experience writing or commissioning primary or secondary research and associated materials summarising the work.
• A passion for UK seas and delivering a healthy ocean in general.
