Facilities and Office Admin

The Trust works with partners, local communities, and volunteers to deliver a wide range of projects including river restoration, reduction of flood risk by Natural Flood Management techniques, river monitoring, volunteer events (eg river clean-ups/invasive species control and citizen science), community engagement and education events, farm advice/plans and biodiversity net gain. The Trust continues to evolve to meet the increasing challenges of protecting and enhancing rivers and waterbodies in the catchment.

We are seeking a Finance and Governance Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead the Trust’s finance, governance, and back-office functions. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective charity governance. While not involved in field-based project delivery, the Finance Manager plays a strategic role in supporting the organisation’s mission by enabling robust financial planning, reporting, and operational support. You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Trustees, and project teams to ensure the Trust remains financially resilient and well-governed.

As the Finance and Governance Manager, you should possess expertise in financial control and reporting, allowing you to effectively handle delegated responsibilities. Your numerical skills and critical thinking abilities will enable you to proactively address challenges and streamline processes.

Working within the Development & Outreach department, the Individual Giving team uses a wide variety of activities to recruit new supporters and ensure that our current supporters know just how important they are.

Leaving a gift in their Will is likely the biggest and most important gift someone will give. From creating supporter journeys which lead to new legacy pledges to looking after legacy pledgers, and educating the organisation on the importance of legacies, you will be responsible for leading on our Legacy programme. You’ll also use data-driven insight, segmentation, and testing to maximise income from appeals, regular gifts and one-off cash donations. You will help to maintain and review our retention and stewardship strategy and ensure that our donors’ needs are fulfilled to create best possible supporter experience.

Membership Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and talented Development team

We are looking for an experienced Membership Manager to join our small and friendly Development team (Fundraising and Membership) and drive our strategy for Membership. With a healthy existing membership base of nearly 15,000, and a database of 100,000 registrants, this role will support the Head of Development in delivering the best possible membership offer for families in the Twins Trust community. You will be supported by a Membership Officer to continually evaluate and improve our membership proposition, giving members a brilliant experience and ensuring we can secure sustainable income for the charity.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Four-five days per week (30 - 37 hours) Negotiable for the right candidate
Flexibility: We are a flexible employer and most of our staff are juggling things (including caring for multiples!). We are great at making jobs work around life.

Purpose of the role

• Accountable for Twins Trust’s annual membership income, delivering a high-quality membership journey through all phases of membership
• Work closely with our Communications Team to develop and implement strategies to attract new members, and lead on retention plans to maximise member satisfaction and loyalty
• Line manage a Membership Officer, guiding them to provide excellent customer service to Twins Trust's members, process all membership income and maintain membership information on the database, Microsoft Dynamics
• Ensure membership processes – including processing income - are efficient, effective and implemented consistently
• Draw intelligence from our membership database, using surveys and analysing data to inform decisions that keep our membership offer fresh and relevant
• Champion the member voice internally, bringing together working groups to continuously improve our offer and ensure members’ needs are reflected in service delivery
• Collaborate with the Comms team to deliver our membership offer on our digital platforms and explore ways to harness technology to deliver what our members want and need in the long term

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and delivering a membership strategy as well as managing the operational aspects of membership processing (database, compliance with codes of practice, data protection and BACS regulations). They should have excellent attention to detail, the ability to think creatively and analytically, excellent digital skills and IT skills, and a can-do attitude.

You'll be based in one of our offices across SNG's operating area, ideally Wembley or Bristol as there will be a big focus on working with our London and Bristol based suppliers and community partners. You'll combine both home and office working to ensure a positive work/life balance. This role involves travel to other offices and events which will require some flexibility and ideally access to a car.

The Role

The Social Value Specialist will support SNG to embed impact measurement and social value into teams across the organisation, providing a central, efficient point of contact that leads on developing systems, processes and continuous service improvement.

You will engage with supply chain partners to ensure the delivery of social value in contracts and enable seamless customer service using digital platforms and relationships with community partners.

Connect with team members across the organisation to deliver impact reports and support in creating our annual ESG report.

The Social Value Specialist will report to the Social Value Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement a community investment evaluation and monitoring framework, in direct alignment with the community foundation strategy and strategy and the corporate plan
• Work collaboratively across the multi-disciplinary community investment directorate and with other internal teams in the customer directorate across localities to embed a framework for social impact and outcomes recording
• Support the Social Value Manager to provide regular social impact and environmental social, governance (ESG) reporting to the communities' leadership team and to senior management and board when required
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation methods and processes for Community Foundation projects and roll out good practice to colleagues and external partners so we can effectively demonstrate our Social Impact
• Lead and support internal teams and external partners in the upload of data such as KPIs onto impact measurement platform for the business, ensuring that information is accurate and easily accessible when required
• Demonstrate strong project management skills to lead and oversee project teams across SNG and with external partners that will bring in external funding
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders, including funders, businesses, local authorities and national agencies as required by the Head of Service and managers
• Work closely with the communications team to enable a coordinated communications approach that raises the profile of SNG's work in communities
• Prepare and present written, financial and statistical reports to internal and external bodies as required and ensure funders requirements are met
• Demonstrate everyone safe and well everywhere, every day by making health and safety a primary consideration in your decision making

 What we need from you

A good understanding of HACT's Wellbeing Valuation and Social Value Insight would be an advantage, but this is not essential. It would be great if you have some knowledge or experience of working in communities, supply chains and or, monitoring and evaluation.

We’re looking for someone with strong leadership experience in application support, who brings a deep understanding of IT service management principles like ITIL. Your problem-solving skills, clear communication, and ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors will be vital. Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or HRIS systems, as well as tools like ServiceNow, will help you hit the ground running. Experience within the charity sector is a bonus, but we’re more interested in your potential, your purpose, and your desire to make a difference.
