Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.
CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Overall job purpose
Our Health and Safety Officer will help us embed, maintain, and develop high standards of Health and Safety, across CCT’s estate and its people. They will work closely with our small Health and Safety Team to create, implement, and establish our Health and Safety policies and procedures, in accordance with current legislation. They will advocate for, and set an example around, best practice in Health and Safety.

You will lead on postgraduate recruitment and marketing for the Education and Training division, working with UCL and internal teams. Key details

In the role of Carer Information Officer, you'll be instrumental in researching, scoping and working closely with our Communications & Marketing team in developing our creation of information resources, alongside our skilled staff team to ensure that the information is accurate, relevant and well presented. You will create high quality information content suited to a variety of channels including (but not exclusively) e-learning platforms, web, video, and print.
Through the work of this role, we will increase carer awareness to enable us to reach and support more carers, provide easy access to information and advice, enable better navigation of services by carers, and help carers feel better connected and that their voices are heard through the content we produce. Carers will be better able to find information digitally at a time that works for them.
This role works within our Information and Advice Team with close links to our Engagement, Community and Comms & Marketing teams. You will develop a deep understanding of carers and their needs putting equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility and co-production at the heart of your practice.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Research and Content Development: Identify and evaluate reliable sources of information to develop accurate and accessible content that provides a wide range of information and guidance for carers.
- Collaboration: Work with carer service teams and external partners to ensure information is current and relevant. Work with Marcomms and HR (training) to co-produce high-quality, information resources in engaging and accessible formats.
- Co-production: Work alongside the Engagement & Volunteer Team to explore and collate carer insights to inform and include carers in content creation.
- Digital Presentation: Embrace digital innovation and emerging technologies, including AI, to co-create accessible digital resources tailored to the needs of unpaid carers. This includes producing content for the website and e-learning platforms, ensuring it is accurate, inclusive, and easy to navigate.
- Awareness Raising: Contribute to the promotion of Carers Support West Sussex and the services offered by creating engaging information that increases public and professional understanding of unpaid carers and the challenges they face.
- Trend Spotting: Horizon scan to spot social and news trends and understand developing opportunities for new ways to share information.
- Compliance: Work within Carer Support West Sussex’s Policies and Procedures, being especially mindful of safeguarding, confidentiality, GDPR, equality and diversity in all areas of work.

What you’ll do
You will play a key administrative Postgraduate Studies department within the Education and Training Division, supporting the delivery of UCL-accredited postgraduate programmes. Based in a hybrid work environment, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across all stages of the student life cycle - from admissions and enrolment to assessments and graduation. Key responsibilities include maintaining student records, coordinating teaching days and events, liaising with internal and external stakeholders (including UCL), ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing the student experience.
What you’ll bring
Essential skills and experience:
- Proven experience in programme or course administration within higher or further education settings;
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities, with a diplomatic and professional approach;
- Ability to work accurately with large volumes of information and manage competing deadlines independently;
- Confident user of Microsoft Office and quick to learn university-specific systems and online teaching tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams);
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively, with a strong commitment to high-quality service and student experience.
Key details
Hours: Part-time job-share (14 hours per week): Wednesday and Thursday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible.
Salary: £31,366 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.
Location: Hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).
Contract type: Fixed-term, 8 months (maternity cover).

The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation modification (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. Degrees is neutral on whether SRM should ever be used, but we believe that developing countries should be empowered to conduct their own research and to play a central role in SRM discussions.
This is a unique opportunity to shape global conversations on climate science by empowering researchers in developing countries to publish and communicate their work, collaborating with some of the world’s leading SRM experts.
We are looking for a candidate with strong digital skills and social media experience. The ideal candidate will have experience creating content for social and web, managing website content and systems, and working with digital media (photos and video).
The Digital Communications Officer will report to the Communications Manager and collaborate with teams across the organisation (Policy Engagement, Programmes, Fundraising) and with our researcher teams across the Global South.
Responsibilities will include:
Social media
- Manage day-to-day social media posting across current channels (LinkedIn, X, Bluesky), posting content that aligns with our tone of voice and brand guidelines
- Monitor social media and traditional media for mentions of Degrees and the wider topic of SRM, identifying trends and opportunities
- Evaluate social media performance and recommend potential new strategies and platforms, driven by data as well as awareness of Degrees’ position
Content creation
- Edit short videos of our researchers for social media and the website
- Design graphics for social media, reports, presentations and events, using tools such as Canva or InDesign
- Write news, profiles, and announcements for the website
Website
- Act as primary website administrator, keeping the website up to date by editing and adding new pages as required
- Maintain content consistency across the website, especially as we redevelop our site and move to a new platform (WordPress, with Gutenberg editor)
- Assist with website content migration using a good understanding of website database management systems (e.g. Jet Engine, ACF)
- Use analytics to monitor website performance and suggest SEO improvements (Google Analytics)
Team support
- Create and maintain templates for documents, presentations, etc., to ensure consistency across visual products
- Compile and deliver the quarterly newsletter (using MailChimp)
- Organise and maintain media asset folders (photos, videos, recordings) with clear tagging
- Support other teams (policy engagement, programmes, fundraising) with communications products as required

As we are a small team, we need to be flexible and support each other, which adds variety to the role. One day you might be creating content for our social media channels, and the next you might be welcoming a Minister to the office.
We are looking for a team-player with excellent written, verbal and digital communication skills. You’ll need to have good attention to detail and be proficient in social media and video production.
You’ll also need to be willing and able to help upskill our volunteers to be able to produce social media content. Being a national organisation across two countries, this role may require some travel to get out and about and support our members.
