This role has an exciting responsibility to capture the importance of the work that Snowdrop does and drive forward our ambitious fundraising strategy, focusing on diversifying income streams that sustains and grows our support to survivors. 

You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills; experience of  fundraising; and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively and prioritise rapidly changing lists of tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing:  

You’ll lead our Fundraising Team and line manage our dynamic and engaged fundraisers, supporting them from planning inspiring activities and events to supporting local fundraisers and volunteers all whilst upholding Snowdrop’s values and fundraising best practice.

• This person will take the lead in delivering the next 12 months of Snowdrop’s fundraising strategy, driving forward strategic development, implementing learning and further developing the fundraising team to deliver on its fundraising ambitions in line with the wider organisational strategy.
• The Head of Fundraising role sits within the Senior Leadership team at Snowdrop and is responsible to contribute to the overall leadership, strategic management and continued development of the organisation
• Leading on creating strategies for attracting new corporate donors and partnerships alongside driving forward our well-established corporate volunteering programme
• This person will work alongside and support Snowdrop’s trusts and grants fundraiser and support on large grant applications where necessary 
• Line management of the Donor Relations and Communications Manager and Community and Events Fundraising Manager, alongside the supervision of two consultants

Purpose of the Role

To lead and manage support staff, working with service users in their homes. Be aware of and work to trauma informed principles and manage the service as a psychologically informed environment. Ensure staff to work to psychologically informed principles and help service users to develop aspirations for their future. This will include developing goals for employment training and education. To assist support staff to achieve tangible progress outcomes for their support clients. Outcomes that are in line with Causeway’s mission and with LB Haringey’s contractual requirements. Work with the CEO to review and develop policies, including for specialist training and support as necessary. Support the CEO to develop and implement an organisational client mental health strategy, for all support services. Ensure staff understand the purpose of the service and their role in delivering outcomes. Ensure continuous learning and development across the team by embedding learning from training and service reviews. Work closely with Causeway’s internal Housing Team to ensure residents are complying with the terms of their tenancy or licence agreements. Lead on client involvement within the service. To represent CIHA at external events and meetings when necessary.

The Vine Centre is a community based Charity offering inclusive support to those living in Rushmoor and its surrounding areas. • Provide financial management oversight on the project, verifying project-specific transactions and ensuring that financial data is up-to-date; and ensuring adherence to the organisation’s financial policies.
• Lead the project’s annual budgeting and forecasting process, allocating funds across country and global teams & operations.
• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports for the organisation’s project, including monthly, quarterly, and donor-specific reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement financial controls and processes to ensure compliance to donors and organisational policies, including tools such as templates, checklists, and manuals.
• Review budgets, quarterly reports and variance analyses, reforecasts, cash requests and agreements from sub-grantees; and ensure that they understand guidance on compliance and financial reporting.
• Treasury management – monitoring and analysis foreign exchange fluctuations, and their impact on project delivery.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (and holding an active membership with an accountancy body) with experience in designing, developing and strengthening processes and controls for complex multi-country, multi-grants projects.
• Experience in the financial management and administration of grants, including budgeting, forecasting, undertaking analysis & monitoring, and reporting.
• Experience of donor compliance and reporting, including of institutional donors with complex compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience of working specifically in the context of sub-grantees and implementing partners on the ground.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, able to analyse complex financial information to provide the full picture on the project implementation, and to be able to present this alongside other analyses and reports to senior internal and external stakeholders clearly and succinctly.
• A strong command of the English language.

Job Description
Ivy Rock Partners is proud to be supporting a leading healthcare charity in the recruitment of a Head of Finance on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a senior leadership role overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, compliance, and team development within the charity.

About the role

As Head of Finance, you will lead the financial strategy and operations of the charity, ensuring robust financial controls, timely reporting, and effective budgeting processes. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance & Operations, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team and play an integral role in supporting strategic decision-making.

You will oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including month-end and year-end close processes, VAT compliance, and the preparation of statutory accounts in line with FRS 102 and the Charities SORP. You will manage a small team (currently an Assistant Accountant and a Finance Officer), providing coaching and support to build capability and ensure high-quality outputs.

A key priority for the incoming Head of Finance will be embedding and improving processes within Access Financials, strengthening internal controls, and delivering reliable reporting for internal and external stakeholders. You will also work closely with colleagues across fundraising, grant-making, and property management to ensure accurate income recognition and financial insight.

About you

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Strong technical understanding of charity accounting, including SORP and restricted funds
• Proven experience leading a finance function, ideally within a complex or multi-income stream environment
• Skilled in financial reporting, audit preparation, and month/year-end processes
• Confident managing and developing a small team
• Excellent working knowledge of financial systems (Access Financials preferred) and advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Experience within the charity or healthcare sector is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities & Key Tasks

• Support a caseload of companions to reach their potential through both practical and emotional support.
• Tailor support plans to meet individual need - setting goals, assigning actions, working with other providers and considering the person’s holistic needs.
• Guide induction and exit processes for companions - to ensure that they understand the core principles of the offer at Emmaus and move on to long term, sustainable accommodation after us.

About you:

We are seeking someone who is comfortable and experienced working in a small company or charity, understanding that our capacity and resources are limited. A 'can do' attitude and a motivated approach are essential. While direct experience with homelessness may not be necessary, you should have a solid understanding of the common challenges faced by those who have been homeless. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to identify and promptly address risks or safeguarding concerns. Empathy, attentive listening, and strong verbal communication skills are also key requirements. Proficiency with IT and the ability to maintain up-to-date records in our database are necessary. Additionally, you should have the tools to maintain your well-being in what can be a challenging but rewarding role. You will need to demonstrate and build the resilience required to work with individuals who may struggle to engage with services like ours and think creatively to encourage engagement. While practical experience supporting vulnerable adults is highly desirable, we are also interested in hearing from you if you have transferable skills and a willingness to learn, even if you haven't worked in the homelessness sector before.

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences – is seeking a Training and Development Manager to join our friendly and collaborative team in the Research Directorate, providing key support in the delivery of the Early Career Researcher Network Leadership and Development SHAPE Programme.

The role

The ECRN Training and Development Manager will work closely with the Head of ECRN and the ECRN Training and Development Officer to deliver the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network (ECRN) and Wellcome Leadership and Advancement SHAPE Programme. This involves overseeing the design and delivery of training content, managing budgets and payments, and coordinating logistics across both online and in-person activities.

You will contribute to the development and implementation of efficient working systems, policies, and processes and work collaboratively with the Head of ECRN to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.

With responsibility for leading the planning and delivery of training programmes and workshops, as well as managing programme budgets and overseeing payments, you will also implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track impact.

You will be responsible for line managing a Training and Development Officer. You will also need to coordinate logistics and delivery across virtual and regional formats for the Leadership and Advancement SHAPE programme.

The T&D Manager will support the continuous improvement of operational systems and working practices and liaise with training facilitators, regional partners, and other external providers and internal colleagues across the Academy to ensure alignment and impact.

The ideal candidate for this role will bring extensive experience in training programme management, budget oversight, monitoring and evaluation, and team leadership in an office or organisational setting. Strategic planning, resilience, and effective problem-solving are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities with confidence.

We are looking for an excellent communicator, skilled at fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and committed to inclusive, responsive working. A thoughtful and proactive approach will be key to success in this role.

Please note that the position involves travel between ECRN regional locations to support in-person delivery, alongside regular online engagement.

As the Head of Corporate Governance, you will ensure ongoing monitoring of governance effectiveness and continuous improvement, and the efficient and effective administration of governance process, including trustee and committee member recruitment and onboarding, tracking appointment terms, and annual skills audits. You’ll bring:

• Significant experience in securing income from corporate partnerships and/or trusts and foundations
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to quickly understand social impact areas and align them with funder priorities
