We are looking for a proactive policy and corporate affairs professional to join the Police Now team and play a key role in shaping understanding of our programmes, build support amongst stakeholders, and lead the conversation on police reform and culture change.
Police Now’s mission is to transform communities, reduce crime and increase public confidence in policing. What you’ll do – the key responsibilities

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Safeguarding Team as our Senior Global Safeguarding Specialist reporting to the Global Safeguarding Director. This is a senior role in the team and will play a key part in managing and supervising safeguarding cases and investigations, as well as providing proactive support and guidance to Members and Country Programmes on a range of safeguarding topics. About us
Since 2021, the SS Great Britain Trust has offered people in Bristol who are underrepresented in the heritage sector the opportunity to use the museum archive to generate creative work. Originally funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, since 2023 the Trust has maintained this work independently, and we have recently secured funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to develop this work further.
We aspire to develop a participatory research practice which allows community members to explore the Trust’s entire archive collections, and for this to drive our site storytelling to bring relevance to the breadth of communities who call Bristol home. We need someone with a unique set of skills and aptitudes to help this work grow.
The Community Research programme encourages open and honest investigation and exploration, and empowers people to publish, write, draw and create from original archival material, developing and opening up positive and tangible bonds with new communities and audiences in Bristol.
Candidate description:
The candidate will work with the Trust’s curatorial team, our collection items, our communities officer, and cohorts of researchers from a range of Bristol communities. Bringing these elements together, we want to meet someone who can facilitate non-museum specialists in generating research, storytelling and making creative outputs from those collections, in a number of forms. These could be publications, public events, educational resources, art, literature and more. We’re looking for someone who will enjoy researching with historical materials and have the ability to link people and stories together. They will work to unlock the barriers that exist between many audiences and heritage sites and support the overall development of Community Research within the wider work of the Trust.
It is essential that the person for this role has good knowledge of and be experienced in discussing and contextualizing history with individuals that do not have background or training in the subject. Key duties and responsibilities:
Governance and Secretariat

The role
We are looking for an experienced part-time NEBOSH or IOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager, who will lead manage and develop our health and safety requirements and responsibilities around working outside and around water.
We have a health and safety management plan which following on from our Health and Safety audit, has outlined the framework for this role and what is needed to be implemented over the next 12 months.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Work with both Head of HR and Operations Manager on certain aspects of office Health & Safety with as and where necessary
- Project manage and deliver all requirements of the new created H&S Management Plan
- Work with managers on Construction Design Management (CDM) health and safety
- Track and ensure that risk assessments are being completed within teams for events and elsewhere where required in Thames21
- Work with HR and line managers to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) are created, updated and reviewed periodically
- Deliver the H&S induction session with new joiners when and where applicable
- Work with the Operations Manager to ensure vehicle checks are conducted in accordance with the vehicles policy, and that all drivers are trained in the use of the inspection checklists and all aspects of vehicle inspection.
- Compile a quarterly incident report to the Head of HR
- Manage the incident reporting system, escalating serious incidents (including risks) to senior management
- Manage a programme of safety audits to reporting these to the management team
- Manage and run the quarterly H&S group meetings and keep track of progress of actions that have been assigned
- Conduct training sessions on other related health and safety as and when required

Role Purpose
The Operations Director is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of all operational aspects of Katherine Low Settlement. This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Floating Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire. This service will provide emergency accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children.
The post holder will provide high quality support and safety planning to survivors and their children who are fleeing domestic abuse. This includes enabling survivors to access housing, welfare, benefits and legal advice. A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles.
The Floating Support Worker (FSW) will carry a caseload of survivors of domestic abuse to enable them to provide a more holistic and intensive support package. They will work closely with survivors from the point of crisis through to move on from the emergency accommodation. FSWs will work in partnership with both statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure that the whole range of survivors’ needs are met.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

About the role:
You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. You will have a passion for excellent service delivery, performance management and team welfare.
The family caseworkers provide in person support to families who have experienced the sudden and traumatic death by Homicide.
