Job Purpose:

1. To lead the development and delivery of WIP’s housing programme in South London and Manchester, ensuring high quality, trauma responsive services.
2. Develop effective pathways with local housing teams and providers, including through co-design with women with lived experience, developing training and resources to improve the knowledge and understanding on women impacted by the CJS. 
3. Provide effective leadership to direct reports, fostering a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture.
4. Work collaboratively with the external affairs team to provide programme insights to influence policy and systems change to prevent criminalisation of women due to homelessness and housing insecurity.

Location - West London.  Hybrid role up to two days per week can be working from home.  At least three days per week on site.

Reporting to Co-Heads of Casework

Hours - 35 hours per week Monday to Friday

We have two roles available - one is permanent and the other is a three year contract.

The post holder would be responsible for:

* Providing specialist advice and advocacy service to the homeless guests of our services, which include Partner Day Centres and Night Shelters throughout the winter season.

* Employing creative thinking and practices to ensure that guests are supported and motivated to achieve their goals.

* Attending appointments with guest occassionally when needed

* Referring and signposting guests to accommodation providers, health service and other relevant internal and external support services, as necessary.

* Maintaining good communication with the Managers of our partnered Drop In Centres, Glass Door colleagues and local statutory and non-statutory services.

* Attending meetings with the Casework team, external service providers and partner organisations when required.

* Collating statistics and outcome measurements of the casework servicce for both internal and external use.

* Maintaining a well organised and easily accessible administration system for the casework programme in line with relevant legislation (eg GDPR)

* Managing a small casework budget

* Undertaking any other duties as required by the charity.

Person Specification

Essential:

* At least one years experience of working one-on-one and assessing the needs of homeless people or similar disadvantaged client groups

* Empathic attitude to homeless and vulnerably housed people

* Up to date knowledge of the welfare issues and legislation affecting homeless people

* Knowledge of relevant support services available to homeless people, particularly in West London

* Confident approach to and experience of, dealing with challenging behaviour

* Ability to maintain good relationships with colleagues and external service providers

* Highly organised with strong time management skills

* Ability to keep clear and up to date case records

* Experienced and competent in MS Office packages

* Ability to work independently and take the initiative to make important decisions.

Shops providing strong leadership for shop managers to drive and enhance the

profitability and attraction of the shops, ensure standards and administrative procedures

Salary: £65,431.97 (including London Office Allowance) plus competitive pension

The Principal Practice Tutor will play a leading role in and delivering Frontline’s Approach Social Work programme, a fast-track master’s in social work.  This is an exciting role for someone who wishes to combine management and leadership responsibilities whilst keeping a close connection to the work of their team by working directly with participants on the programme.  

The role of Principal Practice Tutor is to provide programme leadership and team management ensuring a high-quality teaching experience as well as ensuring excellent participant placement experience by supporting Consultant Social Workers. 

The role comprises of six core areas of responsibility: 

• Programme leadership and team management
• Resolve escalated participant issues
• Practice learning of participants 
• Support of Consultant Social Workers 
• Delivery (teaching) and Quality Assurance (marking) of the programme’s curriculum
• Supporting and operationalising wider organisational objectives 

You will work alongside the Head of Delivery, Principal Curriculum Leads and Principal Partnership Leads to ensure a high quality, effective learning experience for our participants. You are responsible for successfully incorporating best practice in pedagogy, through the provision of training, guidance and quality assurance activities across teams.

Role Purpose

The National Programme Manager will lead the development and delivery of Chiva’s national participation and support programmes.

This includes embedding participation across the organisation, managing key programmes for children, young people and families, and ensuring the diverse voices of children, young people and young adults living with HIV are represented at all levels of service and policy development.

The role combines leadership of programme delivery, staff and volunteer supervision, training, stakeholder engagement and evaluation to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.

 Leadership

 ● Help develop and oversee the organisation’s participation and support programme strategies.

● Ensure participation is embedded across Chiva, with meaningful involvement of children, young people, and young adults.

● Represent the organisation at regional and national events, advocating for the voices and experiences of young people.

Programme Management 

● Oversee development, planning, and delivery of national programmes for children, young people and families.

● Contribute to managing programme budgets, ensuring financial accountability.

● Provide supervision, training and support to staff, associates, and volunteers.

● Ensure continuous programme development and improvement through co-design with young people.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

Experience

● Significant experience in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of youth / family support programmes at a national or regional level.

● Track record of programme management, including design, delivery, monitoring, and impact reporting.

● Experience of embedding youth participation in organisational strategy and service delivery.

● Experience of staff and volunteer management, including supervision, training, and performance support.

● Experience of working directly with children and young people from diverse backgrounds, with sensitivity to their needs, rights, and safeguarding requirements.

● Experience of working with budgets and ensuring financial accountability.

Skills

● Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage teams.

● Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

● Strong facilitation and training skills.

● Strong communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to represent young people’s voices at regional and national levels.

Desirable Criteria

● Experience of working within the HIV sector or with young people living with long-term health conditions.

● Knowledge of best practice approaches/policy focus on youth participation.

● Experience of designing or facilitating creative programmes for young people incorporating arts-based approaches.

● Relevant professional qualification (e.g. youth work, social work, or project management).

● Experience of implementing impact measurement and evaluation frameworks in youth programmes.
