Since 2003, we have been harnessing the power of skiing & snowboarding to break down barriers, broaden horizons and address the biggest social issues facing underserved young people today.
The Programme Manager will deliver a personal development journey to young people using snowsports as the hook to engage those who are less likely to engage with mainstream provision. We do this in partnership with youth projects and youth service providers across London, running snowsports youth programmes from The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead.
This is a really exciting opportunity to play a key role in Snow Camp’s development in London. Experience of working successfully with underserved young people in a range of settings will be essential to the post. Furthermore, experience within a snowsports field and passion for supporting young people generally will be a huge advantage!
Project management, logistical skills, relationship management, communication and presentation skills will all make up the job. Along with youth work experience to deliver life-skills or group workshops to motivate young people to work towards meaningful goals – these will all make up the job.
This is a key post requiring at least 2 years’ experience involving the above skills, together with proven project management and budgeting experience.

As an Employment Consultant, you will be assisting veterans across South Wales back into work. Key Responsibilities
Spear Programme
- Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work
- Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics.
Relationship management
- Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations
- You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre
Church Community
- The Spear Coach is directly employed by Preston Minster, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community

Centre operations

As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles. What you will be doing:
- By adopting a flexible and creative approach, you will enable young people to improve their confidence and wellbeing, supporting them to access and sustain employment and/or training. This might include meeting young people in cafés, parks, or even gyms!
- Working in partnership with social services, and other support agencies, you will form part of a passionate team of people surrounding each young person, providing holistic and specialist support adapted to meet the needs of each individual.
- Being well organised and efficient, you will effectively record, and evidence outcomes achieved by young people, ensuring safe working practice, and contributing to our effort to secure future funding of the project.

Contract details:
- Hours per week: 37.5

- Pay: £28,770 - £30,296 per annum (NJC scale points 17-20, starting at the bottom of the scale)
- The location: You will be based in Kingsley Hall, close to Bristol’s main train and bus stations as well as the vibrant city centre. However, as these roles are based in different locations there is an expectation to work from a specific local authority at times. This Coach role will work across Bristol and BANES.

Barnardo's and Amazon have joined together to pilot a project which aims to support and transform the lives of young people who are not in education, employment, or training. The pilot took place in Tilbury, Essex, and due to the success, we are developing further sites across the nation. The aim of the programme is to equip young people aged 18-29 with the skills, confidence, and ambition to pursue their goals of finding employment, apprenticeships or further education and training. Amazon are offering real employment opportunities within their Coventry warehouse and the young people we are supporting will be invited to apply, interview and work for Amazon.
The role will provide a pivotal support to the Barnardo's programme in Coventry and surrounding areas. Working with vulnerable young people who are not in education, employment or training, this role focuses on supporting young people through a 10week motivational programme and includes improving employability skills, confidence, and self-esteem work.
You will work assertively and creatively to engage with hard-to-reach young people. You will lead and develop the work in this area and will be responsible for providing quality Information, Advice and Guidance.
You will be responsible for contributing to, devising and developing schemes of work, session plans and resources to meet curriculum requirements to equip young people with the personal social and development skills, motivation, confidence and employability skills to progress into and sustain employment and/or further education/training. You will conduct 1:1 mentoring sessions and use outcome measurement tools to track changes.
You will be responsible for supporting young people to attend work placement/trials and ultimately employment opportunities and supporting service users to apply, prepare for and sustain this employment.

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects.
T&T has grown substantially over the last 5 years, and we are in an exciting time for the charity. We are reviewing our long-term aims and changing local needs to ensure programme delivery continues our extensive track record of positive outcomes. YMCA West Sussex Transitional Housing provides safe, secure accommodation for young people aged 18-25, who have been, or are at risk of homelessness. Our staff team comprises of Supported Housing Support Workers, Housing Mobile Night Workers and two Supported Housing Managers. We offer a support package alongside the accommodation to actively encourage residents into education, training, employment or voluntary work.
In delivering the role, you will work with the Deputy Supported Housing Manager and the wider housing team to provide effective day to day management of our transitional accommodation service. You will have your own caseload of residents, working creatively and effectively alongside young people to develop their assets and talents and to acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives. You will contribute to the smooth and safe running of the service by providing consistency and reliability. You will have a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations. You will also support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk. There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role.
This role is based on site in Horsham and will cover Transitional services across Horsham, Crawley, Burgess Hill and Worthing. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
