Key Responsibilities
· Co-lead and develop your team in partnership with the Service Manager in delivering recovery-focused, high-quality, safe and person-centred care, delivering great outcomes for people using services.
· Informing the future direction and development of the Swindon Wellbeing Services including working closely with Directors and Commissioners internally and externally of the organisation.
· Champion innovation and co-lead the implementation of enhancements to services, and support the implementation of change, best practice and continuous improvement.
· Establish effective working relationships with key referrers including the Primary Care Networks and Secondary Care Services in your locality, facilitating meaningful two-way dialogue with key stakeholders.
· Understand and build upon local assets and resources, to enable holistic and flexible place-based support structures that are responsive to local needs.
· Ensure all staff are supported and developed through on-the-job coaching, individual supervision, group supervision and appraisals, identifying and promptly addressing learning and development needs.
· Produce regular outcome reports demonstrating the effectiveness of the service and highlighting gaps in provision.
· To be involved with the recruitment of new staff including participating on the interview panel and leading on the inductions of new Swindon staff.
· To oversee the recruitment of volunteers, including participating on the interview panel and leading the induction.
· The role will include being on call based on a rota system to provide support to staff in services across Swindon & Gloucestershire Mind when required.
· To attend meetings in relation to the Sanford House building and meetings relating to contracts.
· To conduct risk assessments in relation to service areas, ensuring the services are using the Mental Health Triage Scale effectively and appropriately
· To investigate any incidents reported by staff or people accessing services and follow up with recorded outcomes following S&G Mind policies and procedures
· To explore complaints made to the Swindon SBC wellbeing contract and follow the relevant procedures and policies.
· To undertake investigations in line with relevant policies e.g., complaints policy, HR investigations.
· To ensure all staff are assessing risk and that risk is managed appropriately in line with the persons needs and the policies/procedures of the service.
· To ensure that all lone working arrangements are in place and always followed.
· To act as the Safeguarding Lead for adults and children within the Swindon Wellbeing Service
· To act as the Health & Safety Officer within the Swindon Wellbeing Service.

Job Description
As the Operations and Visitor Experience Manager, you play a pivotal role at CSC, with full
responsibility for our Centre in Cambridge Science Park and our secondary site, currently in
Wisbech.
An essential part of your role is to drive CSC’s direct revenue streams connected to the Centre.
You will lead your team in generating public and school bookings, and in overseeing community
audiences, private hires, and other groups, ensuring every visitor enjoys a seamless and
welcoming experience. You will also take a proactive approach to increasing visitor numbers,
expanding CSC’s membership base, and researching and developing new revenue-generating
initiatives that strengthen our long-term sustainability.
Your expertise in creating and implementing exhibition spaces will be instrumental in bringing to
life our annual delivery calendar of science themes, which is strategically curated to attract and
engage our audiences while supporting the delivery of our Programmes. You will oversee an
annual budget covering the shop and site facilities.
You will work closely with the Outreach and Innovation Manager to prioritise, schedule, and
maintain products and content in line with CSC’s core Programmes and commitments, ensuring
impactful experiences for all audiences. In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications
Manager, you will plan and execute advertising campaigns targeting both the public and schools.
You will also coordinate with the Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop opportunities for
corporate partners to support on-site exhibitions and events, ensuring agreed partnerships are

● Work with the Director of Business Development to identify and address barriers for
schools, supporting bursary applications and additional funding opportunities.
● In coordination with your team, ensure the shop is stocked with appropriate products to
maximise sales, support at-home engagement with STEM after a family visit and promote a

● Increase school bookings through strategic planning, aligning with schools’ annual planning
cycles, targeted outreach, and the effective delivery of engagement programmes.

Our new strategy ‘Sustainable Freedom from Modern Slavery’ launched in 2024 and this role is essential for the delivery of the strategy and ensuring that survivors of modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation have access to the support and opportunities they need to achieve their aspirations, independence and a positive future. With soaring numbers of referral to the NRM and thousands more victims living in fear of a hostile environment, this has never been more important than now.
At the heart of Sophie Hayes Foundation’s work will be the support to and empowerment of survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking and this role is critical to survivors’ journeys to sustainable freedom. We are increasingly aware of the precarity faced by survivors, especially during transitions moving on from support and at points of decision making from the NRM or Home Office.
Alongside a small, friendly and dedicated team, you will build pathways of support for a range of participants who are supported by SHF through connecting them to other community organisations. Your role will include assisting them to access safe accommodation, community support, mental health support and access to finances.
You will champion the voices of survivors through the work of the organisation, working with colleagues in CREW, our survivor network, to provide continued support to survivors’ long term.
About the Role
- Conducting initial welcome calls to participants to assess their needs and desired pathway into SHF
- Host Monthly 121 Check-ins with participants who don’t have support workers and during those sessions signpost to long-term support to widen their community support. Writing support letters when needed
- Actively engage with local, regional, and national partners and anti-slavery networks to build and maintain partnerships for survivor referral pathways to other organisations
- Work alongside the CREW Co-ordinator to run events which foster connection within our CREW network, such as a monthly coffee morning
- Support in the facilitation of in-person sessions whether CREW or part of the Programme delivery.
- Support in the facilitation of Programmes and CREW events
- Ensure highest levels of Safeguarding, compiling safety plans for participants and carrying out risk assessments where necessary.
- Accurate data input to and management of internal monitoring and finance systems, working closely with the Head of Programmes to analyse trends and contribute to reporting.
- Contribute to centring survivor perspectives in the work of Sophie Hayes Foundation by sharing and channelling learning from programme delivery to colleagues.
- Other duties which may arise under the implementation of the new strategy, as directed by the Head of Employability Programme.

Role Overview
The Donor Relations Officer will be responsible for crafting compelling, donor-centred communications that strengthen long-term relationships with partners and supporters, deepen engagement and inspire giving. One of the main areas of responsibility will be to produce proposals and reports for stakeholders, especially strategic partners and donors. The postholder will work closely with the other members of the Marketing and Communications team, as well as collaborating with other departments within the college. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of producing copy for fundraising and donor relations purposes, and will be a skilled storyteller who can translate the strategic objectives of the college into resonant narratives, understands donor motivations, and writes with clarity, empathy, and purpose.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Stewardship Writing
- Develop persuasive and high-quality copy for multi-channel fundraising campaigns (direct mail, email, website, social media etc.)
- Write impact reports and stewardship letters that convey gratitude and demonstrate impact.
- Create case statements, proposals, and presentations for major donor and foundation audiences.
- Oversee the ongoing use of Donorfy CRM to ensure it functions in a way that optimises ANCC's efficiency and makes full use of its functionality; carry out system integrations as needed.

- Interview students, alumni, partners, staff and donors to develop authentic, mission-driven stories.
- Adapt organizational content for various donor segments, ensuring a consistent voice and message.
