A Diocesan Finances Review was undertaken in 2025 which resulted in several key changes to financial flows between dioceses and the National Church Institutions. The purpose of this role is to design and implement the process changes, operational arrangements and governance necessary to support new ways of working for the NCIs and Dioceses.

The main change relates to the simplification of the administration of funding in relation to ordained ministry training. Dioceses will contribute to a single Ministry Training Fund which will meet the costs of ordained ministry training (fees, accommodation costs, maintenance and travel expenses), with administration carried out by the National Team, to provide a one-stop-shop for ordinands to understand entitlements, apply for grants and claim expenses. The post holder will be responsible for designing and implementing new technology-enabled processes and ways of working to support the efficient and effective operation of the Ministry Training Fund.

£10 million of funding was provided within the national Church of England's spending plans for 2026-28 to enable detailed analysis and planning to be undertaken (including pilot initiatives) focused on addressing structural overheads in the Church, and opportunities to reduce duplication and complexity. This role will enable appropriate governance processes in relation to the allocation and oversight of these monies.

The Spending plans also incorporate savings targets (£4 million + in 2026-28 and £20 million + by 2029-31) in some key areas relating to Bishops and Archbishops' ministry costs and National Church costs. This role will work with the relevant groups charged with delivering those savings, to ensure adequate oversight and monitoring, and report back to key governance bodies on a regular basis.

About the Role

As Media Lead you will be responsible for running the charity's busy press office and you will play a central role in shaping how Victim Support is seen and heard in the media. You'll write and deliver a strategic Media Plan that positions the charity as a trusted and recognised victims' voice, increases the profile of our services and contributes to influencing positive change.

Digital Inclusion Coordinator 

Age Uk Westminster is seeking a Digital Inclusion Coordinator to join our community based inclusion team funded by Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

The Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster Social Isolation project supports and enhances existing Older Adult Mental Health services provided by CNWL by providing targeted outreach digital inclusion support to vulnerable older people with the aim of reducing the impact of loneliness and isolation. We are looking for someone who has confident Digital Inclusion experience and ideally some experience of working with people living with dementia.

The role will include providing intensive coaching, support and troubleshooting with IT skills and equipment as well as working closely with Age UK Westminster’s other services including digital inclusion group sessions and dementia activities. The role will demand a division of time in the office and in clients’ homes in Westminster.

Job description

The National Flood Forum is partnering Rochdale Borough Council to deliver one of 25 national projects comprising Defra’s Flood and Coastal Resilience and Innovation Programme (FCRIP) which is managed by the Environment Agency and runs until March 2027. The programme aims to test and create new, innovative approaches to flood and coastal resilience that can be adapted and rolled out more widely as good practice and new ways of delivering positive change.

Our project centres on two frequently flood affected and vulnerable neighbourhoods in the Roch Valley in Rochdale district The communities are complex and include a high incidence of social, economic and environmental disadvantage. It aims to develop a more holistic approach to flood and climate resilience with better management of residual flood risks through new, innovative cross-sectoral approaches that also address climate justice and both flood and fuel poverty. The project will deliver a step change in flood literacy and community participation, increase peoples’ capabilities to respond to flooding, improve flood and climate resilience of ageing housing stock, enhance surface water management, neighbourhood water conservation, natural flood risk management and local green infrastructure and develop better financial resilience for homes and businesses.

This is an exciting role for someone who has experience working at community grassroots or who is passionate about people and working with communities. I have a fantastic opportunity with an international development charity, as Digital Marketing Specialist, based in either the UK or Sweden. The Digital Marketing Specialist is a brand-new role and will form a vital part of the charity’s Communications and Advocacy team. The successful candidate will lead the expansion of the charity’s Europe’s digital footprint, where a significantly improved digital offering for audiences in the Nordics, the UK, Germany and Brussels are a critical priority.

As Digital Marketing Specialist you will be responsible for implementing the new Digital Marketing Strategy and overseeing the management of a new website for Europe. A proven track record of using social media, email marketing and SEO (both organic and paid) to drive positive impact for an organisation (e.g. increased public engagement, fundraising income, policy change) is essential.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a truly unique development organisation, formed and led from the Global South. We are seeking a creative and ambitious digital specialist, either from the for-profit or not-for-profit sector, with a track record of creating highly impactful digital experience for target audiences.

Essential skills and attributes:

- Established experience in digital marketing roles preferably either in the NGO sector or an agency serving a mix of clients, with a focus on website / social media channel management (preferably across multiple European territories including the UK, Nordic countries, and Germany)

- Fluent in English (with a 2^nd language in German, Swedish, Danish or French also highly desirable)

- Confident working in cross-cultural contexts, with our headquarters located in the Global South and with Europe staff based across several European countries.

- Comfortable with high levels of autonomy whilst also a strong team-player who enjoys sharing knowledge and ideas with others

- Open to new ideas, and devising imaginative new approaches for how to do things differently to better achieve objectives

Early Learning and Childcare Advisor

We are looking for an Early Learning and Childcare Advisor to join the team based in Scotland, in this remote working role.

Position: Early Learning and Childcare Advisor

Location: Remote/Scotland

Hours: Part-time, 18.5 hours per week

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 pro rata

Contract: Temporary contract until 31st March 2026

The Role

The Early Learning and Childcare Advisor supports the organisations contribution to policy development and guidance on the delivery of early learning and childcare. Ensuring an effective voice of the sector in Scotland is critical to success, as will strengthening support for and developing our membership base. The Early Learning and Childcare Advisor supports delivery of the Scottish Government contract ensuring achievement of targets.

The role also involves the development of training, publications and other products and services for Scotland members.

The Early Learning and Childcare Advisor will be supported by the National Operations Manager (Scotland) and the NDNA central team. 

Main duties include:

• Support the National Operations Manager (Scotland) to ensure Scottish Government contract is delivered to meet all agreed criteria 
• Support policy development and guidance on the delivery of early learning and childcare in Scotland, ensuring nurseries have access to appropriate information, support, guidance, and training to contribute to improved quality of delivery of early learning and childcare
• Track and report on sales and trends to inform the development of products and services
• Support the National Operations Manager (Scotland) in the completion of sector consultations
• Gather intelligence and research from nurseries and public and third sector partners/stakeholders to inform on national policy and representation work and Scottish Government national policy as related to private nurseries
• Ensure effective dissemination of information to members, colleagues, other agencies
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships and relationships with partners and other agencies at regional and national level to enhance and promote activities and ensure maximum benefit for long-term sustainability and our members
• Promote the benefits of membership and access to its products, services and support

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree level qualification or equivalent experience in childcare and also:

• First hand experience of working in an Early Learning and Childcare role
• Experience of managing a demand-led workload
• Business and strategic planning
• Strong customer service or related experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the securing of income opportunities by providing financial information for bids, grants, and applications.

• Work with project leads and the senior team to ensure the effective management of funds, including tracking and reporting expenditures. 

• Develop and deliver financial performance information to assist the senior team and trustees in running the charity, providing valuable financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing the charity's strategy.

• Manage the year-end independent examination by liaising and engaging with the external auditor.

• Work with the Senior Team and Finance Sub Committee to provide adequate procedures, measures, and systems of internal control appropriate for the nature and size of the charity and meeting statutory obligations.

• Produce accurate monthly/quarterly Management Accounts for the CEO and Senior Management Team, including commentary on significant areas and variances from budgets and Update monthly the cash flow forecast. 

• Manage the complete payroll process through QuickBooks and submit relevant deductions. 

• Complete monthly payments to HMRC, and year-end submissions in a timely, proactive and accurate manner and deadlines are met. 

• Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring authorised bills and invoices are recorded and processed on time.

• Enhance income streams, such as registering for Gift Aid and VAT etc. 

• Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, identify and manage financial risks. 

• Undertaking administrative tasks as required, being hands-on and fostering a collaborative working environment. 

• Proactively monitor and evaluate activities within services business through the development and delivery of effective cross-service monitoring and evaluation, responding to issues and identifying and following-up on opportunities.

• Deputise for Director of Service and the CEO when necessary including attending meetings and preparing and presenting reports.

- Proactively alerting staff and trustees to potential opportunities and threats to the charity. 

• Lead on the delivery of a sustainability plan, evidenced by Monitoring and evaluations outcomes. 

• Oversee designated project budgets for services and produce reports related to these.
