Overview of the role:

• Support the delivery of our quarterly campaigns by working with the team to create engaging and exciting content.
• Act as a brand champion ensuring branding and messaging is consistent and accessible.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate campaign and ad hoc content creation
  • Work with the Therapy Communicator to obtain content from the therapy team and ensure content adheres to our values.

Person Specification

We are looking looking for an efficient, well-organised, enthusiastic person to join the team with the following qualities.

• Be able to work independently and with initiative when needed.
• Have experience creating and writing content for different communications platforms.  
• Have strong communication skills as you will be required to work with different teams across the organisation
• Be able to multitask and prioritise.
• Experience with the following software/platforms is desirable but training can be given; Canva, MailChimp and Monday . com.

Salary and hours

• Salary: £28,000 per annum, full time equivalent (this salary is consistent with our organisational pay structure). We would consider a freelancer.
• Part time: 16 hours per week.
• Fixed term, maternity cover contract for 9 months.
• The role holder has autonomy to create a working schedule that fits their needs. We do require at least 4 hours on a Monday as that is a core working day. The remainder of the working hours can be worked flexibly across the week in business hours.
• This is a remote role.
• There are 2-3 meetings a year that could be attended in person if that suited the role holder but can be attended online.

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Life After Stroke Service based across North, Mid and Central Hampshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11304 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Hampshire, specifically North, Mid and Central Hampshire (Basingstoke/Winchester area) However, Frequent travel will be required as part of this role (to include team meetings or other work related meetings)

Salary: Circa £18,812 per annum (FTE circa £27,400 per annum)

Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week

The Role

The Clinical team at Diabetes UK gathers the diabetes management and prevention insights to help inform the organisation. As a valued member of the team, you will develop and share your knowledge and experience internally and externally to support Diabetes UK’s strategy. You will be an expert clinical resource for internal colleagues and external network, support the delivery of fresh, innovative, high-quality information and education resources for people with, and those at risk of, diabetes. You will effectively build and maintain excellent internal relationships with the Together Type 1 team and other teams across the charity to achieve the outputs in line with strategic goals and KPI requirements of the Steve Morgan Foundation (SMF) programme.

Role description:

You will lead a clinical area of diabetes, be an expert resource and maintain a good knowledge in all areas of diabetes care and prevention. You will gather new insights that help to inform Diabetes UK work, information and messaging while supporting other colleagues in developing diabetes knowledge. You will provide expertise within your clinical area on a range of matters including the development of products and resources, improving public understanding of diabetes through local and national media channels, reviewing evidence-based practice, and critically appraising to ensure clinical accuracy. Working with other colleagues, you will deliver wellbeing programmes to young people with type 1 diabetes. You may be required to provide clinical support and advice e.g. administer hypo treatment, advise on carb counting and support attendees who may have special needs.

The ideal candidate:

You will be a registered healthcare professional with clinical experience in diabetes preferably in paediatrics care within the NHS as a dietitian, nurse, or doctor. You will be passionate about using an evidence-based approach to creating resources for people with, and those at risk of, diabetes and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will have experience of working across multiple teams, and be up to date with current developments, and trends, in diabetes care and prevention. You will be flexible in travelling around the country regularly to deliver wellbeing sessions including overnight stays, during some weekends and school holidays.

In this role, you’ll work closely with and report to our Digital Manager to support the delivery of our digital strategy and improve how we track and measure our impact. You’ll help maintain and enhance our digital tools, particularly Salesforce, and use data insights to improve how we engage with charities, volunteers and under-represented talent. About the role

Our dedicated team moderates our full-service accounts (all organic content and paid ads) as well as one-off campaigns and appeals for some of the most recognisable charities in the sector. 

This role is perfect for skilled comms experts who can provide excellent supporter care and is best suited as an additional source of income (the majority of our team are freelancers and consultants). You must be able to begin moderation at 9 am (or earlier), wrap up by 9 pm and adhere to our sub-three-hour response time. 

Our moderators must have a minimum of three years’ in-house, third-sector comms experience. 

As a Social Media Moderator, you would be responsible for:

• Becoming the voice of the cause you are representing, adhering to their brand guidelines and tone of voice at all times

• Identifying, escalating and signposting any safeguarding issues

• Managing your own time and work on own initiative

• Working across a range of social media management tools

• Responding/actioning to all comments and queries in under three hours

• Maximising donations when required 

• Going above and beyond at all times to provide supporters with an incredible experience

Our moderation takes place between 9 am and 9 pm, Monday-Sunday. 

Different accounts will require varying levels of ‘active’ hours (defined as time spent taking action). You will split your active hours between 9am and 9pm. For example, for an account which requires three active hours, you might carry out your work in six, thirty minute instalments throughout the shift.

As you gain experience, you will be allocated multiple accounts which will enable you to increase your hours worked. 

Whilst you need to be on hand to monitor your accounts during 9am-9pm, the role does allow for a great deal of personal flexibility.

We're seeking an enthusiastic Education Coordinator to help shape the future of chemistry education.
 
With a focus on Northern Ireland, you'll lead regional initiatives, tailoring them to local needs and supporting teachers through workshops and online sessions. • A degree in science, preferably in the chemical sciences, or an equivalent qualification, together with evidence of working with schools, ideally with a teaching qualification.
• An understanding of school level, further and higher education and a breadth of knowledge of the education systems in the UK and Ireland together with a deep knowledge of the local curricula.
• Experience of stakeholder relationship management and an understanding of customer requirements, including those of: school teachers; FE teachers, HE academics and support staff; careers advisors; employers; governments and its agencies, and non-government bodies.
