The Finance department is a shared services function working across the NCIs to provide a comprehensive, cost-effective finance service to each organisation, and helping to co-ordinate joint projects where appropriate. The team also provides support to, and promotes best practice across the wider Church in relation to financial matters, including monitoring the financial health of Dioceses, Cathedrals, Theological Education Institutions etc. The Finance team is currently supporting their NCI clients with some major change and transformation projects, as well as undergoing significant changes to their own ways of working to ensure they can deliver a high-quality Finance service which meets the needs of the NCIs. This includes undertaking a Finance Transformation Programme to help Finance develop their service.

We are seeking a Grants Manager to join the Research Talent, Policy and Programmes Team and take oversight for the delivery of a sub-set of the Academy’s UK and international grants portfolio to support our strategy, and – notably - our strategic priority to support the next generation of researchers to reach their full potential.

Working in a small team gives you the opportunity to develop line management skills, set and manage your budgets and be directly involved in securing funding for our schemes. You will keep abreast of developments in UK medical research funding policies and the wider career policy context to ensure that the Academy's grants schemes remain innovative, attractive and fit for purpose.

What you will be doing

Scheme Delivery

• Managing a subset of our portfolio of UK and/or international grant schemes, maintaining and developing robust operational processes in accordance with the high standards of the Academy.
• Drafting funding proposals, in liaison with the Head of Grant Schemes, for existing and potential new schemes.
• Developing and implementing new grants schemes and all associated processes and documentation, as required.
• Producing high-quality reports, briefing and updates for both an internal and external audience. This includes the preparation of papers for Council, Officers and other Academy meetings, as required.
• Being mindful of national and international developments in grant-making and exploring how the Academy’s schemes align with other emerging initiatives.
• Working with senior management to ensure the Academy implements best practice.
• Supporting with the monitoring of grant progress.

Line Management

• Line managing the Senior Grants Officer and overseeing their development.
• Supporting the Senior Grants Officer to administer their portfolio of grants, to include dealing with enquiries; the promotion of schemes; eligibility checking of applications; the organisation of peer review; the preparation of committee papers; attendance at panel meetings; providing reports and financial information; the awarding of the grants and their continued management; and providing feedback to both successful and unsuccessful applicants.
• Project managing and supporting other Senior Grants Officers.

Budgeting

• Developing and managing the budgets for a portfolio of grant schemes and/or activities, in line with internal management systems, to include the regular forecasting and monitoring of expenditure.
• Working closely with the Finance Department.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development

• Establishing contacts and liaising with a range of stakeholders, including Higher Education Institutions, funding agencies, delivery partners, other professional bodies and early research leaders, in order to ensure the Academy offer is reflective of the current landscape and that we are responsive to continued developments.
• Liaising with the Academy’s Communications and Policy teams to ensure the grant schemes relate to the Academy’s wider strategy and to raise the profile of our schemes.
• Working across the organisation, with individuals from different departments and at varying levels of seniority.

Other Responsibilities

• Developing and overseeing meetings and celebrations for award holders, including regular inductions, training workshops and scientific meetings.
• Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties that can be reasonably expected of this post.

What you’ll do

As Post Production Manager, you will oversee the Video Team’s post-production operations and line-manage our Video Editors (1 x Video Editor and 2 x Junior Video Editors). You will lead the team in delivering high-quality video content for our platform, ensuring all output meets our editorial standards. You will manage the post-production workflow, support wider projects across the Video Team, and contribute hands-on to editing a variety of videos for the platform.

Your key responsibilities:

• Assign post-production tasks to Video Editors and Junior Video Editors, manage the edit schedule, set deadlines, and sign off on edits that meet our high standards. Guide, mentor, and develop team members in editing skills and post-production workflows.

• Manage key deliverables from organising footage on Dropbox to ensuring projects are live on the platform.

• Manage a diverse range of video content, ensuring stakeholder input is considered while maintaining high editorial and production standards.

• Review videos and provide constructive feedback to develop editors and maintain quality.

• Ensure videos are on the platform and meet a high standard of quality.

• Act as the point of contact for external partners and account teams regarding exported projects, handling any technical queries.

• Edit videos, create engaging animations and Motion Graphics (Motion GFX) in After Effects and Premiere Pro, and develop MOGRT templates for editable projects.

• Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to by all editors and inform them of any changes.

• Guide and mentor other team members in editing skills and post-production workflows.

You’ll work closely with Unifrog’s Content team, line-manage video editors and collaborate closely with directors and producers in the video team. You will also work with staff on our partner-facing teams, as well as with external partners where necessary.

Wandsworth Wellbeing Foodbank Service is an adult mental health service, offering support in foodbanks and Primary Care settings and we are delighted to be hiring an additional Wellbeing Coordinator to join our supportive and successful team.

The Role

What will I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for a broad range of high‑level Executive Office support activities, including:

• Preparing, coordinating and servicing senior leadership meetings, including drafting clear agendas, collating accurate papers, taking high‑quality minutes and tracking actions with a strong attention to detail.
• Providing high‑quality executive and administrative support to the CEO Office, including complex diary and inbox management, and the drafting, handling and dispatch of correspondence on behalf of the Group CEO with excellent written accuracy and judgment.
• Supporting effective planning, briefing and preparation to ensure the Group CEO is fully equipped for internal and external engagements, with well‑structured briefings and precise, timely documentation.

Projects you may work on include:

Who will I work with?

You’ll work closely with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders, including:

• Executive Directors, senior trustees and members of the Leadership Team across the Institute and its subsidiary companies, including IOP Publishing.
• Senior internal and external stakeholders, including equivalent CEO offices in partner organisations, government and learned societies, requiring clear, professional written communication and attention to detail.

Ideally, we hope you’ll apply if you bring:

Essential:

• Proven experience providing high‑level PA or Executive Assistant support in a fast‑paced, complex environment, including diary management, meeting support and high‑quality minute‑taking.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, accurate and professional correspondence, briefings and minutes, alongside a consistently high level of attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the judgment and discretion to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Advanced IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

Nice to have:

• Experience supporting senior executives or boards within a charity, professional body, membership organisation or similarly complex environment.

How will I be working?

We operate a flexible, trust based working model that gives colleagues autonomy over how, when and where they work, while recognising the value of in person collaboration. You will be assigned a base office, with hybrid working offered as standard. This role does however involve regular visits to our head office based on business needs. 

You will engage in regular in person collaboration with your team (as operational appropriate), as well as with colleagues across the wider organisation, to ensure effective operational alignment and to support our inclusive approach to working.

As an organization we meet in person once a quarter at our Head Office in Kings Cross, London.

Senior Caseworker – Pathways

Ruils is run by, and for, Disabled people. We exist to remove the barriers that prevent Disabled people from living independent lives. Our vision is a society where all individuals have choice and control to live independently. We provide information, advice, advocacy, befriending and activities to our clients and their families.

Pathways is a specialised welfare advice service that provides information, advice, advocacy and representation for Disabled adults (over the age of 18) living in the Richmond Borough. We work with clients, supporting them to navigate the complex Housing, Benefits and Social Care systems. In this role, you would be providing information, guidance and advice to Disabled people and their families, enabling them to have more choice and control over their lives.

We are also part of a larger network of Disabled-led advice services. Working together, we have developed pathways for Disabled trainee case workers, collated data on Housing and Benefits issues and have fed into important consultations and campaigns.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for you to work one-to-one with clients to effect change, whilst also having a positive impact on the wider system.

We are looking for someone who:

• Support clients to gather evidence and prepare for Benefit or Housing applications and appeals, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Attend key meetings and appeals with clients, advocating for them and helping them put their case forward confidently.
• Develop accessible information resources (guides, bulletins) to help clients navigate health, care, benefits and housing systems.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, contributing to forums, campaigns and shared problem-solving.
• Provide supervision and support to trainee caseworkers, including induction, case file reviews and contributing to their development.
