JOB TITLE: Senior Schools Education Officer - Digital Projects

DEPARTMENT: Education Team, Programmes Department, Foundation

LOCATION: Stamford Bridge (with regular delivery at educational establishments throughout the week)

CONTRACT: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

DIRECT REPORTS: Digital Blue -Education Officer

 JOB FUNCTION: To lead, teach and deliver on behalf of Chelsea FC Foundation the innovative Digital Blue Project. This will include the delivery of a range of initiatives and programmes as we develop this area of STEM provision for our local beneficiaries, Foundation wide.

PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):

• Oversee the delivery of our Foundation Digital Blue programme; in line with Foundation outcomes and line management of associated officers and coordinators to ensure all elements meet required standards
• Develop and deliver further Digital Blue programme schemes to inspire participants of all targeted ages involved in the programme – which includes the creation of resources and promotional materials.
• Work collaboratively across the Foundation on our Digital Blue initiatives to identify potential service gaps, and potential for further grants to develop provision.
• Work with the Schools Education Manager and Futures Manager to identify development opportunities and service gaps within existing programmes.
• Support the Philanthropic Partnerships Team and Grants Teams with approaching suitable partners and/or funders as identified to develop programme funding opportunities.
• Attend Local Strategic Partnership Meetings to raise awareness of our local provision, and then network to enhance new funding and delivery opportunities
• Coordinate and devise scheduling or the delivery of Digital Education programme, including schools based and stadium sessions
• To successfully manage relationships with participants, schools, community settings and partners as part of the programme.
• To undertake any other Foundation activities that may be required in addition to the role.

About the role
 
In this UK-based role, with oversight of a £15m budget, we are looking for a strong, corporate business leader operating at a senior level to help take the Cystic Fibrosis Trust forward on our exciting journey towards a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis and optimising our finance and resources to deliver maximum impact for people with cystic fibrosis.
 
You will lead and develop a high performing multidisciplinary team of Heads including Finance, IT, Facilities, People and Organisation Development and Company Secretariat functions as well as work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and other internal and external stakeholders.
 
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Financial leadership of the Trust’s financial management strategy and statutory reporting and audit processes as well as reporting to our Boards and Committees.
• Digital & information systems: Lead IT and Digital development and implementation strategies, including delivery of the new CRM replacement going live in 2026 (MS Dynamics)
• People & Organisational development: Lead best practice in our people management strategies, policies and practices as well as championing diversity and inclusion and staff learning and development.
• Business planning: Support organisational business planning and strategy development working closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees and including out other internal and external stakeholders including people with cystic fibrosis.
• Facilities: Ensure our working environment and facilities support the delivery of our objectives in a cost effective and supportive way.
• Compliance & Governance: Be Company Secretary, ensuring appropriate governance systems and controls are in place and for reporting to relevant statutory bodies. Be responsible for our Data and ensuring compliance with GDPR, have oversight of Safeguarding and oversee complaints management and employment law compliance.

 
To be the right person for this role, some of the requirements you will need to meet include:

• Proven ability to operate at a Director/Board level and as a senior leadership team member; backed up with strong experience and a proven track record as a Director of Finance.
• To be a qualified accountant (CCAB recognised or equivalent) with minimum five years post-qualification experience and ongoing CPD.
• Proven high level financial management skills and experience of developing and delivering business and financial strategies and managing complex budgets and financial modelling.
• Proven experience of directing, leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams and working with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrable up-to-date working knowledge of charity law including SORP, charity governance, employment law/HR best practice, Data Protection (GDPR), and strong understanding of IT systems and facilities management.
• Demonstrable strong analytical and communication skills; ability to balance strategic perspective with operational delivery and experience of working in a changing organisation operating in a changing external environment for the not-for-profit sector.
• Able to travel for work and/or work occasional unsocial hours if required.

The Research, Training and Consultancy Team is transforming. We focus on providing evidence based and insightful research, training and consultancy to a range of different stakeholders within the transport and planning sectors. This is an exciting time to join and be part of a new and dynamic training and consultancy provision function. This role is a mixture of delivering primary qualitive research, delivering training, and providing disability specialist information as a consultant.

Our work seeks to change the culture of transport and street design in the long term. You need to be an expert in disability access requirements and legislation and be able to undertake primary research techniques (such as facilitation, leading focus groups, workshops and survey design.Alongside this you will need a strong knowledge of disability equality and the social model, ideally with a focus on the transport and/or planning sector. You will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills. This role will require some travel (depending on client needs). 

Your role will be broken down into 4 main areas, undertaking primary research methods (with the guidance of the Research Manager); delivery of training providing expert advice and consultancy; liaising with clients. We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable professional to manage a caseload of up to 20 clients, supporting individuals with mental health conditions into meaningful employment using the IPS model. The ideal candidate will work closely with clinical teams, contribute to multi-disciplinary care planning, and build strong relationships with employers to tailor job opportunities. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential for managing referrals, job retention support, and compliance with NHS and Hestia protocols. The role also requires accurate KPI tracking, benefit guidance, and flexibility to work across various settings. We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises (IAP) covering the night shift on a rolling rota. You will play a key role in supporting our residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. You will develop and engage with our residents to produce tailored support plans which support their individual needs in successful rehabilitation and reintegration within the community. You will identify their needs, goals and skills, and then support and motivate them to achieve their potential. The service holds a strong focus on public protection and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
• Engaging with residents throughout the night, ensuring they are adhering to their license conditions. This may include planning activities to engage with them such as movie nights, games nights, and other activities applicable

Our Legal Practice Unit provides advice and representation primarily under legal aid contract. Our Policy and Practice Change team promotes practice change through training and capacity building to professionals and secures systems change through research, policy and advocacy.

 

About the role

This role will provide leadership and management for CCLC particularly focused on the Legal Practice Unit’s legal aid billing operations. Through systematic and efficient management, the post-holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial and operational sustainability. The role will be accountable for maximising the unit’s legal aid billing in controlled work, certificated work and inter partes costs and will hold responsibility for the unit’s billing systems. It will also be responsible for private fees billing. The post-holder will oversee the smooth running of legal aid billing including through line management of the billing team. The post-holder will work very closely with legal, operations and administrative staff. The role will act as a key point of contact for a range of internal and external stakeholders including Coram’s central finance team who will support the role with grant fund management and overall accounting functions for CCLC. The post-holder will support the Managing Director of Legal Practice and Children’s Rights and department heads in the successful maintenance of our relationship with the Legal Aid Agency. Where appropriate they will be deputising for the Managing Director on legal aid and financial matters.

The role would suit a highly organised and efficient legal, or a finance or billing professional with solid experience of legal practice and a deep understanding of the challenges of legal aid. Whilst candidates with direct experience of legal billing (and more specifically civil legal aid billing) are welcomed, we recognise that this is a highly specialised and niche field. As such, this role could suit a highly experienced solicitor who appreciates the important role developing sustainable businesses plays in ensuring access to justice and who therefore wishes to move into practice and financial management. They will need an aptitude for processing large amounts of data, developing and managing spreadsheets and improving organisational systems. However, they will be well supported through training, an enthusiastic and competent junior billing team, the central finance team and an outsourced legal cashiering company, as well as a friendly and collaborative management team including the Managing Director and the Heads of Education Law, Community Care Law and Immigration and Asylum Law.

This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the billing team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period and there will be flexibility over how the three days will be spread across the week (within working hours). The team are mostly based in the London office and with one billing team member in Colchester so the post holder may require some occasional travel.

1. Finance Administration - 60% of role

• Processing grant payments (10-15 weekly) via online banking in line with authorisation limits
