About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Advisor to join our fast-paced, supportive HR team at the Crick. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced People Advisor to join our friendly People Partnering team to provide maternity cover.

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers, lead allocated ER casework, and will work on a selection of people projects. Working collaboratively with a team of Advisors, you will also have an opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of People processes and policies. 

This is a role that delivers first-line support to all employees and managers across the Crick. A visible and influential position, requiring confidence, independent judgment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and relationship-building. It will suit an individual able to navigate a dynamic environment and comfortable working with a level of ambiguity.

What you will be doing

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Trusted Advisor to Group Leaders and Operational Heads and managers, supporting with all people issues
• Provide expert HR advice on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, working with minimal supervision and high autonomy
• Lead on the full range of employee relations cases of varied complexity, including investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring best practice and consistency
• Support managers with restructures and redundancy processes with the ability to deliver the end-to-end process
• Work in partnership with managers to proactively identifying people challenges and propose appropriate solutions in line with Crick values
• Design and deliver management training

About you

You will have: 

• Good level of experience at HR Advisor level, with evidence of working independently on  employee relations issues *
• Strong influencing and coaching skills, with the ability and confidence to challenge constructively and build trust at all levels *
• Excellent judgment and ability to balance risk and pragmatism in HR decisions *
• A track record of leading or significantly contributing to HR projects or organisational change initiatives
• Strong analytical skills with experience translating people data into actionable insights
• Proven ability to build positive workplace relationship across all stakeholder groups *

We have an exciting position in our team for an experienced and ambitious trusts fundraiser. Working as part of the Partnership Team and line managing one Grants & Programmes Manager, the Senior Grants & Programmes Manager will secure critical income from new and existing trust and foundation donors through compelling pitches and excellent stewardship.

The position will build on existing multiyear relationships with donors giving at the six-figure level per year, aiming to grow their contributions, as well as making approaches to new prospects, working closely with the Director of Partnerships. The role is also the key liaison between OSUK and teams at Operation Smile Inc and in programme countries around the world, leading on donor reporting and sourcing programmatic information for new funding opportunities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Trust and Foundation Funding Development

• Ensure achievement of annual income target for trusts and foundations
• Take primary responsibility for managing the current pool of trust/foundation donors, to ensure their growth and longevity – strategic input into the growth of each relationship will be essential
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of new funding prospects, creating propositions/proposals and making approaches, working with the Director of Partnerships, with a focus on the highest value prospects (those worth six-figures per year plus)
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to donors and internal stakeholders
• Represent Operation Smile UK in global funding discussions, applying any global strategies to develop successful fundraising plans for the UK
• Lead on development and management of any trust/foundation cultivation events

Programmes Liaison

• Lead on interaction with global teams at Operation Smile Inc (US) and programme country teams around the world, regarding OSUK’s funding of programmes
• Identify funding opportunities for new prospects and existing donors, sourcing relevant programmatic and financial information
• Support the allocation of OSUK’s funds to a portfolio of programmes that best meet our donors’ interests, and work with colleagues internationally to reallocate funds when needed
• Monitor projects’ progress against KPIs and ensure donor reporting (programmatic and financial) is complete and timely, and meets donors’ needs and expectations

Additional Responsibilities

• Line-manage one Grants & Programmes Manager, supporting them to manage their own portfolio of new prospects and existing relationships, including small trusts mailings
• Create and maintain annual trusts and foundations income and expenditure budgets and business plans, including current donors and forecasting new business income

• 4 years’ experience in a trusts/foundations/institutional funding role

• Work with the Communications team to generate media presence and content to attract philanthropic interest from new prospects

• Develop and implement plans for partner activity to maximise all income channels, including corporate philanthropy, employee engagement, cause-related marketing and more
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of new corporate fundraising prospects, creating propositions/proposals and making approaches, working with the Director of Partnerships
• Enhance our employee engagement and community fundraising offer with simple, easy-to-do fundraising activities, linked to key moments in the calendar

• Lead on the development and management of any corporate partner cultivation events

You’ll manage incoming and outgoing mail, maintain supplies and equipment, and assist with facilities tasks to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-functioning environment for staff and visitors.

What does this role do?

As a Facilities and Post Room Coordinator, you'll: 

• Coordinate facilities contracts, office supplies, and related purchase orders and invoices.
• Provide support to colleagues and visitors, including meeting room setup, AV assistance, and reception cover.
• Manage incoming and outgoing post and couriers, ensuring timely distribution and deliveries.
• Maintain communal areas, monitor stock, report building issues, and carry out First Aid and Fire Marshal duties.

You'll recruit, train, and inspire volunteers who work alongside people experiencing severe mental health challenges across our drop‑in community and crisis services. Working closely with the Area Manager, Service Managers, NHS Trust partners and Experts by Experience, you'll identify emerging needs and design volunteer roles that genuinely enhance clinical and support pathways. You'll champion a whole‑person approach supporting physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing, while inspiring staff teams to think creatively about how volunteers can add meaningful value. From recruiting and training volunteers to delivering befriending and activity programmes, to supervising their day‑to‑day involvement, you'll ensure every volunteer feels confident, supported and aligned with service priorities. Liberty is looking for an exceptional Policy & Campaigns Officer with a strong understanding of civil liberties and human rights to join the team as we begin work on our exciting new three-year strategy.

This position, which sits in the Policy & Campaigns team, plays a key role in developing and implementing Liberty’s policy and campaigning priorities: undertaking high-quality research, influencing decision-makers, building coalitions, producing policy and campaign materials, providing policy input to strategic litigation, and building public and political support for Liberty’s work.

We are seeking someone who holds Liberty’s values and ambitions close to their heart, as we work to ensure everyone in the United Kingdom is treated fairly, with dignity and respect. This is a key role in securing the long-term policy change needed to protect the human rights and civil liberties of everyone who lives in the UK.

Policy & Campaigns Officers monitor and respond to policy threats to our human rights frameworks, to our rights to protest, and to live free from discrimination. They work with political players and civil servants to steer policy and legislation. They produce high-quality, persuasive content and translate complex legal and policy arguments in a clear and compelling way for mass audiences. They lead and support other human rights and civil society organisations, lending expertise and building solidarity. We have worked with civil society to fight back against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 and the Public Order Act 2023, and to see off threats to our Human Rights Act.

We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong political instincts who brings a collaborative approach to their work. You will have policy and research experience in human rights, or a related field. You will have a strong understanding of how to secure policy change in challenging political environments.

You will have a strong commitment to Liberty’s anti-oppression values and strategy.

About the Role

Reporting into the senior finance leadership, you will take responsibility for core financial accounting activities, including month-end close, balance sheet integrity, statutory reporting and compliance. You will ensure that financial records are accurate, well-controlled and aligned with accounting standards and organisational policies.

Working closely with colleagues across finance and the wider organisation, including teams based internationally, you will support reliable financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders. You will also contribute to strengthening financial processes, controls and documentation, helping to ensure the organisation operates with transparency, accountability and good governance.

As part of a collaborative and values-led finance team, this role offers scope to influence how financial controls and reporting support organisational sustainability and strategic decision-making.

Key Priorities in the First Six Months

• Deliver accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial close
