In Spring 2028, the National Gallery will launch a new, public-facing Research Centre to facilitate and showcase our world-leading research in the history, display, conservation, and science of painting. This will be a complex space sitting at the intersection of multiple valued research stakeholders both within and beyond the Gallery, including the Gallery’s own wide array of research-active staff, our Artists-in-Residence, specialist users of our extensive Library & Archive collections, and a research-engaged general public attending events and consulting materials.

We are now recruiting for a new role – a Research Centre Manager – to support in the planning and daily delivery of an exceptional experience at the Research Centre, and to think creatively alongside Gallery colleagues about the Centre’s different spaces. The role-holder will provide vital clarity and consistency in the running of this multifaceted Centre to ensure a smoothly functioning whole, including coordinating all aspects of the Research Centre operations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the Research Centre facilities and administration.

An ideal candidate will have experience in a comparable multifaceted role, and will bring to the Gallery strong leadership, excellent communication, innovative problem-solving, and strong organisational skills to manage both day-to-day operations and strategic planning for the Centre.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retail Van Driver & stock Collector to join the Retail team. Your role is to ensure the careful movement, collection and delivery in liaison with Shop Managers, of all merchandise within a dedicated boundary as directed by the Retail Operations Manager.

Role Requirements

Minimum age 21 or Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) holder for Insurance purposes.

• Responsible for the collection and delivery of donated goods to the required location within agreed timescales and to agreed targets.
• To provide delivery and collection service to external stock generation sites through Donation Stations.
• To undertake bag drops and collections as required.
• To maintain strict control of security of all goods collected, transported and delivered.
• To ensure minimum losses are incurred on goods and furniture by the careful and respectful handling of all such items.
• Role will involve a large amount of heavy lifting in picking up and moving stock including furniture.
• To support maintenance of multi-site storage of stock belonging to The Children’s Trust
• Transportation of rubbish and unwanted items to recycling centre or refuse site as appropriate.
• To ensure customer care and quality of service.
• To act as the representative of The Children’s Trust in the collection from and delivery to customers of donated goods and furniture.
• To liaise with shop managers over the movement of stock between shops as directed by the Retail Operations Manager.
• Training of Volunteer Van/Driver Assistants where necessary
• Provide all relevant training and development to the Volunteer

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced and motivated HIV Peer Support Advice Worker to provide onsite social welfare advice and support to people living with HIV across South London hospital HIV services. This 28-hour per week fixed-term role will be based in a clinical settings on a rota basis and focus on supporting people who are newly diagnosed through Emergency Department opt-out testing, those returning to HIV care, and people who may need additional help to engage with treatment and manage the wider factors affecting their health and wellbeing.

Working closely with HIV clinic teams, peer support colleagues, internal advice services and external partners, the postholder will provide advice on welfare benefits, housing and related support needs, make appropriate referrals and signposting, and help ensure people living with HIV feel informed, empowered and able to live well.

Reporting to the Head of Resource Mobilisation, the Partnerships Manager will be a pivotal role within the organisation's fundraising function; leading a team of three, managing a portfolio of high-value private donors while co-leading the development and delivery of a new business strategy to significantly grow income from trusts & foundations and corporate funders. You'll help shape and deliver ambitious 7 - 8 figure funding opportunities, working closely with senior leaders to develop compelling plans, proposals and strategic engagement approaches for major global donors. Your responsibilities will focus around designing, delivering, evaluating, reporting and the continuous development of structured learning programmes for people with mental ill health. You will help shape the ongoing vision and goals of the Recovery College to ensure that future development of the service meets the needs of the people it supports. You will also participate in external forums, workshops and events to promote the work and ethos of Mind in Bexley.
Key Responsibilities

1. Make a positive contribution to the delivery of a thriving, innovative and effective Recovery College.

2. As part of the Recovery College team, deliver both face to face and online courses, workshops and groups according to curriculum requirements.

3. As required, design, deliver and evaluate courses, workshops and groups ensuring co-production at each stage.

4. Ensure effective learning takes place by using evidence based interventions, appropriate teaching methods and learning processes.

5. Demonstrate effectiveness by achieving high levels of student retention, measuring impact, increased involvement of participants and positive individual progress.

6. Contribute to the development of best practice within the service.

7. Undertake client assessments and regularly review individual progress.

8. Support individuals in setting learning goals and participating in workshops, courses and groups to ensure positive learning outcomes.

9. Keep accurate and up to date records of client including attendance, assessments, progress and impact measures.

10. Signpost and refer clients to internal and external services when appropriate.

11. Ensure individual inclusion, accessibility and other needs are met.

12. Provide clients with information and advice on further learning and progression opportunities including volunteering and support into employment

13. Participate in external forums, workshops, meetings and events to promote the work of the Recovery College and Mind in Bexley.

14. Keep up to date on local resources, facilities, training and recovery services.

15. Work effectively with peer facilitators and volunteers.

16. Work in partnership with team members, colleagues, professionals and other services.

17. Participate in induction, training, supervision and continual professional development.

18. See advice and support from line manager when needed.

19. Identify, report and monitor any safeguarding concerns or risk in accordance with the latest local procedures.

20. Adhere to Mind in Bexley and East Kent policies and procedures including (but not limited to) Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Confidentiality, Lone Working and Safeguarding.

Fundraising Manager

28hrs/4 days a week - £39,000 pa pro rata (£48,750 full-time equivalent)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced senior fundraiser to join our small and friendly fundraising and communications team. The Fundraising Manager is primarily responsible for developing, managing and growing the charity's mid-value donor programme. The role will steward and upgrade a defined portfolio of supporters, delivering excellent supporter experiences that increase donor retention, engagement and income. In addition, the post holder will support on individual giving, legacy fundraising and developing and stewarding a small portfolio of corporate partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of mid-value supporters, delivering tailored stewardship, personalised communications, meetings, events and digital engagement that demonstrate impact, strengthen relationships and enhance the supporter experience.
• Design and implement segmented donor journeys and cultivation strategies that move supporters from mass fundraising communications to more personalised engagement, identifying opportunities to increase giving through appeals and special funding opportunities.
• Use donor insight, data analysis and supporter behaviour to monitor engagement and retention, reducing attrition, increasing lifetime value, and identifying supporters with the potential to upgrade their giving and progress towards major donor status.
• Develop, manage, and grow a small portfolio of corporate supporters, identifying and securing new fundraising opportunities including sponsorship, employee fundraising, and cause-related marketing initiatives.
• Manage the legacy giving programme, overseeing legacy administration and delivering targeted marketing and stewardship activities to raise awareness, generate enquiries and encourage supporters to leave a gift in their Will.
• Ensure all fundraising activity complies with relevant legislation, data protection requirements, fundraising regulations and organisational policies.
• Maintain accurate supporter records and activity tracking within the CRM system.

Personal Specification

• A proven track record in fundraising
• Ability to think strategically to identify potential donors, prioritise efforts and develop effective fundraising strategies. This includes analysing data, assessing donor potential and adapting approaches based on feedback and results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain donor relationships and understand donor motivations and interests. 
• Excellent written skills with an ability to craft compelling and personalised proposals, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Confident and comfortable making telephone calls and meeting donors in person as a key part of relationship building and stewardship.
• Strong collaborative skills as a team player, whilst also able to work autonomously initiating and driving tasks as a self-starter.
• Experience using CRM systems and supporter data to drive fundraising performance.
• An understanding of the challenges facing doctors and medical students, including mental health and workplace pressures would be desirable.

• Occasional UK travel maybe required for donor meetings, events and conferences.
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required (time off in lieu provided)
