About the role

We’re seeking a senior media and PR officer – policy, campaigns and public health to join our talented and ambitious media and PR team for six months. Supporting the delivery of annual media plans for these areas of work, you’ll leverage our position as leading experts on breast cancer to secure media profile that increases our influence, engagement and support among target audiences, championing the needs of people affected by breast cancer, engaging key policy decision-makers and the NHS through our change-making campaigns and calls to action, and communicating our vital breast health awareness and health information and messaging to key stakeholders and the public to help make change happen now.

This role is a fixed term contract until end of February 2027.
 
About you 

You’ll be great at building trusted and influential relationships across internal and external contacts up to a senior level including colleagues, journalists, contacts at stakeholder organisations (such as NHS and NICE), people affected by breast cancer who support our work, and celebrities and influencers who support Breast Cancer Now. 

With an understanding and passion for policy, campaigns, and public health you’ll draw on your experience of working across health communications and/or media/PR environments to digest and distil complex and sensitive information into compelling media copy, with an eye for spotting proactive and reactive media opportunities to secure impactful profile.

Used to working in a fast-moving environment, you’ll work at pace without compromising quality of work and working closely with the senior media and PR manager – policy, campaigns and public health to effectively handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines to amplify the charity’s share of voice as a determined leader, driving progress and changing the future for anyone affected by breast cancer.

Effective at working independently, you’ll also be a team player who works closely with and contributes to the wider success of the media and PR team.

What does this role do?
As Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll:

• manage the day-to-day operations of our Cyber Security Operations Centre, supervising colleagues in the team to ensure a responsive, effective service is delivered,

The Philharmonia is seeking to appoint a Box Office and CRM Manager to lead the management, development and optimisation of the Orchestra’s CRM strategy, systems and audience experience. The roles focuses on ensuring a seamless customer journey while overseeing the effective operation of the Box Office and the ongoing development of Tessitura.

This is a key role overseeing both the day-to-day operation and strategic development of the Philharmonia’s Box Office and CRM function. The successful candidate will play an important role in developing ticketing and customer strategies that maximise sales income, improve conversion and enhance the audience experience.

As a public facing member of staff, the Box Office and CRM Manager will be a key representative of the Orchestra, ensuring customers receive a welcoming, efficient and accessible service whether booking online, by phone or in person. A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service is therefore essential.

The role will also lead on the effective management and ongoing development of Tessitura, supporting audience insight, segmentation, reporting and customer journeys across the organisation. Working closely with colleagues across Marketing, Development, Finance and Concerts, the successful candidate will help ensure that customer data is used effectively to support audience growth, income generation and informed decision-making.

Previous experience of using Tessitura is essential. From hall dressing and campaign set-up to system optimisation, reporting and user support, this role will be one of the Orchestra’s lead Tessitura users. Experience of working within a Tessitura consortium would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic planning and implementation:

• Work closely with Marketing and Development colleagues to develop and implement CRM strategies that support audience growth, income generation, membership retention/acquisition and fundraising objectives

• Develop customer journeys, audience segmentation and data-led approaches that improve conversion, retention and engagement across the customer lifecycle

• Support the development of sales forecasts, benchmarks and performance analysis, providing insight to inform campaign planning, pricing and decision-making

• Work with Marketing colleagues to develop and implement promotions, campaigns and tracking mechanisms

Role Overview 

Your focus is supporting the CEO by managing their diary, scheduling meetings, and ensuring board papers are prepared and distributed on time. You also assist the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with meeting coordination and follow-up actions. Alongside this, you provide essential HR and compliance administration, helping maintain accurate records and supporting smooth people processes. You’ll keep systems organised, so information is easy to find, and decisions are based on reliable data. 

Key Responsibilities 

CEO Support 

• Manage the CEO’s diary and schedule meetings. 
• Prepare agendas and meeting packs for CEO and SLT meetings. 
• Distribute board papers and track related actions. 

SLT Support 

• Coordinate SLT diaries and meeting logistics. 
• Take and circulate meeting notes, track actions and deadlines. 
• Maintain organised document storage in Office 365 and SharePoint. 

HR and People Administration 

• Support the Head of Finance and Administration with HR processes. 
• Assist with recruitment admin: scheduling interviews, candidate communication, and onboarding checklists. 
• Maintain personnel files and training records.
• Track compliance requirements: DBS checks, right-to-work documentation, policy acknowledgements, and mandatory training logs. 
• Issue new contracts and set new employees on the system 
• Full management of our employees HR portal 
• Maintain central trackers for actions and deadlines. 
• Handle routine admin tasks: filing, scanning, letters, and data entry. 
• Support basic finance & admin (e.g., chasing approvals, filing documents). 

Essential Criteria 

• Proven admin experience in a busy office environment. 
• Ability to take accurate meeting minutes and produce clear action logs. 
• Experience with HR and recruitment administration. 
• Experience using HR software or applicant tracking systems. 
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. 
• Excellent written communication skills. 
• Confident using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint). 
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. 
• A collaborative team player who builds positive relationships. 
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines. 

Desirable Criteria 

• Experience working in a charity or non-profit organisation. 
• Familiarity with safeguarding and compliance processes. 
• Knowledge of basic finance administration or purchase order systems. 
• Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles. 
• Interest in supporting positive organisational culture and staff wellbeing.

We are looking for an SLC Coordinator to join us and continue to grow the scope and presence we have already established in the Yorkshire and Humberside region. We are open to considering candidates wishing to work up to 36 hours per week. The salary will be pro rata for roles of less than 36 hours per week. 

About the role

The key purpose of the Coordinator role is to support the Senior Engagement Manager to deliver regional Sight Loss Councils across Yorkshire and Humberside and to engage with blind and partially sighted people across the region.  We currently have three Sight Loss Councils (SLCs) in this region, so the postholder will be expected to work alongside the Senior Engagement Manager and coordinate the SLCs’ activity, focusing on the retention of the volunteers engaged and ensuring the projects and work they are involved in continue to be successful.

About you

You will have the passion and ability to use your lived experience to influence change, for the benefit of blind and partially sighted people. As an experienced Coordinator, you will engage and support Sight Loss Council members in the implementation of the region’s business plans to bring about change across transport, health and the built environment, as well as areas of local interest such as arts and culture or retail.

You will be a self-starter and work well on your own but will also enjoy being a part of a national team working across the country, with whom you can learn from, as well as share good practice with. Ideally you will need to live within the Yorkshire and Humberside region, as there will be travel within the region every week.

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Legal executive assistant to support legal counsel and the wider team. This is a fast-paced role where you’ll manage the legal inbox, coordinate correspondence, and provide essential administrative support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

You will handle diary management, meeting coordination, drafting routine correspondence and maintaining accurate records across internal systems. Using sound judgement and initiative, you’ll prioritise queries, resolve issues, and escalate more complex matters where needed.

You will also support document management, property and charity related processes, and ensure legal records, databases, and SharePoint files are accurate and up to date. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, collaborative, and motivated to contribute to a positive, values-driven environment.
