We’re looking for a Data Manager to lead on the delivery of data management, analysis and reporting. Ensure robust governance and compliance of data and lead on data insight to be able to demonstrate impact and create opportunity.

The ideal candidate

• Oversee the management, integrity and development of the operations Salesforce In-Form.
• Lead on the design and delivery of reporting tools and dashboards to monitor performance.

St Giles is expanding its delivery of hospital-based projects; this service is aimed at vulnerable 10 to 25-year-olds who attend the adult or paediatric emergency department or Urgent Care Centre at Whipps Cross ED. We will work alongside hospital staff to proactively identify vulnerable young people and help them to access and engage the support they need to prevent any potential escalation of violence and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation or exploitation.

About this key role

You will be part of the Whipps Cross Emergency Department Team meeting CYP (Children and Young People) at the point of presentation to the ED to offer support, with the aim to safeguard and reduce risk around the CYP. This support extends post-discharge from the ED or Hospital with our Caseworkers working with the CYP and the professional networks to ensure the CYP voice is front and centre, this is to support the betterment of the CYP and their future, as well as reducing risks. This is done through providing 121 support in formulating the support plan with the CYP. This can also include supporting the family and advocating for them and CYP within the wider professional network.

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families

About Adolescent Health Study

The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.

Purpose of the post

The Study Delivery and Governance Lead will play a central role in ensuring AHS meets the highest ethical, governance and regulatory standards. The post holder will lead the development, submission and oversight of the AHS Research Tissue Bank application, coordinate ethical approvals and ongoing amendments, and provide governance leadership to support study development and delivery.

They will also oversee elements of study set up and delivery, supporting the development of piloting tools and protocols, and addressing operational and logistical considerations necessary for successful delivery. They will line‑manage Research Officers and Senior Research Officers, contributing to a cohesive, high‑functioning team.

Main responsibilities

Research Governance

• Lead the full process of developing, drafting, and submitting the AHS Research Tissue Bank (RTB) application.
• Manage ongoing approvals, amendments, renewals and reporting obligations to Research Ethics Committees, the Health Research Authority, the Confidentiality Advisory Group and other regulatory bodies.
• Develop, implement and maintain governance frameworks, SOPs and quality assurance processes required for RTB operation, keeping abreast of developments in the regulatory landscape.
• Maintain accurate documentation, version control and quality‑assurance procedures relating to ethics and regulatory submissions.
• Act as key point of contact for research governance‑related queries from internal and external stakeholders.

Study Development & Planning

• Work closely with the Senior Programme Manager to contribute to the design and refinement of study protocols, piloting phases and operational plans.
• Lead the planning and delivery of specific study workstreams, as required, defining milestones, tracking progress, and identifying interdependencies as the study develops.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans for governance and study‑delivery workstreams as required, ensuring roadmaps are accurate, realistic and kept up to date.
• Identify, track and mitigate risks related to both governance and delivery, escalating as appropriate and working collaboratively to resolve issues.
• Prepare reports and briefings for AHS governance structures (e.g., AHS Executive, Board of Trustees, Scientific Advisory Board).

Team Leadership & Line Management

• Provide mentoring and day‑to‑day guidance on governance‑related queries, ethics submissions and documentation development.
• Line manage selected staff within the study team, supporting workload planning, professional development and quality assurance.
• Foster effective team working across research, operational and scientific colleagues.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams including scientific leads, operational delivery, data management and engagement teams.
• Represent AHS with external partners related to governance, regulatory support, tissue banking and operational delivery.
• Work with the engagement team to ensure young people are involved in all elements of the study development and delivery.

Knowledge, skills and experience

Essential criteria

• Extensive experience in research governance, NHS research ethics management, clinical research management or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience drafting protocols, participant documents and regulatory submissions.
• Strong understanding of ethical and regulatory frameworks including the Human Tissue Act, UK GDPR, and NHS research ethics processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear and actionable guidance for colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with experience managing competing priorities.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Assistant Outreach Adviser in our South East England team, to assist with delivering conservation impact through the creation, restoration and sustainable management of native wooded habitats on land outside the Trust’s own estate, contributing to the Trust’s objective of landscape scale ecological restoration. 

The Role
•    This is a key role in the South East England team and the role will offer the opportunity to learn on the job, working as part of a wider team providing advice to landowners and land managers, particularly farmers, to increase native tree cover on their landholdings, through creation of new woodland and agroforestry in its broadest sense
•    You will also provide advice on sustainable management of existing wooded habitats on the landholding where appropriate.  
•    Assisting with project management and administration, such as the coordination of tree orders, and liaison with contractors and consultants.
•    Working as part of a team, you’ll enable the delivery of woodland conservation activity outside the Trust’s own estate, including: creation of new native woodland, increasing tree cover outside woods, including through agroforestry, restoration and sustainable management of ancient and native woodland. 
•    This will be through partnerships, direct advice and other means. There will be a particular focus on working with the farming sector. 
•    Liaise with and manage relationships with key contractors, consultants and partners as required, and with other teams across the Woodland Trust.

• Ability to synthesise literature and evidence concisely for reporting to diverse audiences
• Evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to contribute to protocols and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

Job Title: Project Co-Ordinator 

Contract Type: 28 hours per week, 12 months fixed-term contract 

Salary: £24,800 per annum (£31,000 FTE)

Overview

The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for the planning, implementation and management of our various programmes and initiatives aimed at supporting individuals who have spent their childhood in the care system. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Project Co-ordinator will ensure that all aspects of project delivery is carried on time, within scope, and within budget. We are seeking an individual who is a creative thinker and can develop innovative, engaging sessions and opportunities for care leavers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful initiatives designed to improve the health, mental health, well-being, and overall life outcomes for care leavers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the various programmes and initiatives.
• Ensure all project activities are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary.
• Coordinate the delivery of activity with the relevant delivery partners to ensure services are provided on time and appropriately meet the needs of care leavers.

2. Communication and Stakeholder Management

• Foster strong relationships with delivery partners, customers, statutory services, and commissioners.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders.
• Address any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly and effectively.
• Organise and facilitate meetings, ensuring communication is clear and action points are followed up.
• Prepare and send out project-related communications, updates, and reports to stakeholders.

3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

• Adhere to agreed project outcomes and activity-based targets.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, risk logs, and other relevant documents.
• Monitor and report on project budgets, identifying any potential overruns or issues.
• Collect and analyse data/feedback on programme outcomes and evaluate the success of projects upon completion, ensuring outcomes align with the charity’s mission and strategic goals.
• Prepare and present reports on the effectiveness and impact of the programmes/initiatives to commissioners/stakeholders.
• Assist with the preparation of funding applications, reports, and other documentation for funders.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance project delivery in the future.

4. Budget Monitoring and Reporting

• Liaise with the finance team who will prepare regular financial reports for commissioners.
• Identify and address any financial risks or discrepancies and raise them with the finance team.

5. Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of service delivery.

6. Additional Duties

• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other events as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the various programmes and initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience of working within the charity or statutory sector (paid or voluntary), with clear evidence of making a positive and measurable difference.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work.
• Ability to analyse data and understand funder requirements and reporting.
• Budget monitoring skills.
• Ability to identify problems early and develop practical solutions.
• Proficiency in using project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

We are seeking a highly organised Programmes Coordinator to support the smooth delivery of music education and teacher training programmes across London and nationally.
