Responsibilities of our Surveyor: 

- Manage a designated portfolio of properties, delivering repairs and maintenance as required- Be a property expert for colleagues across the estate giving high levels of service and support.Working with colleagues in Estates Support; Safety, Health and Environment; and Legal teams, provide a safe and compliant environment across the estate. 

- Oversee property works in alignment with retail and operations managers within agreed SLAs 

- Assess property issues and take appropriate action 

- Maintain accurate records across estate/FM databases and cloud-based systems

- Provide advice on retail/commercial lease acquisitions and disposals 

- Liaise with agents, landlords, neighboring occupiers, solicitors and local authorities 

- Procure and manage contractors, ensuring they are vetted and all work meets H&S legislation 

- Regional reporting to support the Principal Surveyor and the Head of Estates & Construction with the wider management of the estate 

About the Estates and Construction team: 

The Estates and Construction team manage a wide-ranging and diverse portfolio that reflects the breadth of the estate. Within the region covered, the portfolio includes purpose-built cat adoption and homing centres (both freehold and leasehold), a network of leasehold charity shops, multi-pen sites, and a small number of residential properties occupied by employees or external tenants. Occasionally, surveying expertise is also required for matters relating to legacy properties. 

What we’re looking for in our Surveyor: 

- Regional coverage is flexible, however we are looking to support the East of England, Midlands and South Yorkshire

- Level 6 or higher professional surveying qualification

- Current membership of a professional institution such as RICS, RIBA, CIBSE, CIOB, IWFM 

- Post qualification experience of surveying in a property or facilities management environment 

- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

- Working Knowledge of retail leases, acquisitions and disposals 

- Multi-site and use property management and compliance experience 

- Experience of working on and managing small building or maintenance projects up to £500k 

- Ability to work within a small team and externally with professionals and third parties

The Role

What will I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for a range of activities, including:

• Act as ‘the conductor’ of our rented office and meeting room spaces working with both internal and external stakeholders to provide consistently positive, welcoming, and inclusive experience.
• Directly line managing the receptionist and the AV technician, as well as oversee temporary or permanently based contractors to meet the building resourcing needs.
• Budget management inclusive of actuate recharging, invoicing external companies, and spending monitoring.
• Oversee the delivery of the front of house service and standards of the IOP staff office through supplier relationship management, maintaining stock levels, and effective logistics tracking.
• Ensure compliance and health and safety regulations, safeguarding requirements, security, alcohol licence requirements and any other relevant IOP policies.

Projects you may work on include:

• Being part of the organisation committees for all IOP events working closely with the departments involved.
• Review of our building revenue and how we can maximise this without conflicting with IOP operations.
• Space management and storage both onsite and externally.

Who will I work with?

You’ll work closely with a range of colleagues and stakeholders, including:

• Membership, Conferences, Science & Business Insights, Compliance, and CEO office IOP teams.
• Members and external partners who rent meeting room space or use our member facilities.
• Our tenants and serviced office companies.

Ideally, we hope you’ll apply if you bring:

Essential:

• Significant experience with organising events including using room booking systems, catering provisions and AV operational knowledge.
• Experience of line management and supplier management. 
• Experience with budget management including invoices processing and raising.
• Experience of working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, ensuring expectation are met and communication is regular and clear.
• An IOSH Managing Safely certification or similar is essential.
• Be first aid and emergency marshal qualified is essential.

Nice to have:

• Working for charities to understand budget restrictions and be creative with solutions.
• Working within the rented meeting room space industry and with knowledge of marketing or price pitching.
• Hold an alcohol licence (please note they must be willing to hold one).

The role

The Funding Operations Officer will support the full lifecycle of grants, helping to ensure funding processes run smoothly and efficiently across a diverse portfolio. Working within the Funding Operations team, you will coordinate funding processes, manage information and data, and contribute to improving systems and workflows.

About you

Joining us, you’ll have experience managing end-to-end recruitment campaigns across a variety of roles or sectors. You’ll be able to partner effectively with hiring managers, understand a vacancy brief and utilise creative sourcing methods to identify and attract talented candidates. As with every recruitment role, you’ll need to be organised and proactive with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Crucially, you’ll have the knowledge and interpersonal skills required to manage stakeholder relationships and expectations and you’ll be able to coach and guide hiring managers through the full recruitment lifecycle. You’ll also care about creating inclusive hiring experiences and reducing bias in recruitment, with the ability to positively challenge, advocate for change and identify how we can improve our processes.

• Support marketing campaigns, email communications and website updates
• Evaluate event success and contribute to continuous improvement

You’ll need to be a confident communicator with strong writing skills, experience in event coordination, and a genuine interest in education and inclusion.

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity, founded by Fiona and Tim Spargo-Mabbs in 2014 in response to the death of their 16-year-old son Dan having taken ecstasy. The charity aims to support young people to make safer choices and reduce harm, through increasing their understanding of the effects and risks of drugs and alcohol, and improving their life skills & resilience. We are looking for an enthusiastic communicator to join our team to coordinate our community and corporate fundraising activities.  The Corporate and Community Fundraiser is a fixed term maternity leave cover – it is therefore a great opportunity if you have previous experience and would like to use this to make a big impact.

The Corporate and Community Fundraiser will be responsible for raising money from the community and local/national organisations at our small but always rapidly growing and highly motivated charity. A key aspect of your role will be building relationships and using your story-telling skills with new and existing contacts, inspiring them to donate or help raise funds for the Foundation.

The role will have three key areas of responsibility:

Community fundraising – you will build on our well-established and growing group of regular donors and supporters to maximise donor income and engagement; instigating and managing a portfolio of fundraising activities that resonate with both existing and new supporters.

Corporate fundraising – you will manage and develop our existing relationships with companies and organisations to maximise potential partnerships and income; formulating and implementing a plan to raise the profile of the Foundation to build new relationships, both locally and nationally.

Communication – you will capture and develop stories about our work for use with fundraising, relationship building and reporting, contributing to regular newsletters, website updates and social media posts.

The HIV Care Coordinator will be responsible for delivering a package of care and support people living with HIV to identify and overcome barriers to engaging with care. 

We are looking for someone who can successfully build collaborative partnerships with a number of different clinics and voluntary sector organisations as well as encourage and motivate patients to engage in their care.
