Role Mission:

We've been harvesting rainwater in remote communities for almost 40 years. Our work improves health, reduces poverty, builds climate change resilience and increases the attendance of girls at school. We are looking for someone special to join our small team in an exciting new fundraising role - could that be you?

Our new CEO joined in March 2024 and has led the development of a new three-year strategy focusing on the expansion of our existing programmes in Africa - income growth is vital to support this aim.

This new role will be responsible for generating an increase in our income from fundraising channels largely not explored by the existing team. You would work closely with the CEO but would need to be comfortable being highly autonomous and self-sufficient. Data at Unifrog

The Data team’s goal is to inform every Unifrog decision with data. That includes decisions taken by our teammates, university and employer partners, and those taken by teachers and students who log into the Unifrog platform every day.

Our team goal is ambitious in scale and broad in scope, and achieving it requires a diverse team with different skill sets. Our work includes managing external data integrations, analysing how students use the platform, and managing and developing our Salesforce platform.

What you’ll do 

As the Salesforce Administrator, you will maintain and enhance our Salesforce platform. Salesforce is central to our partner management processes and reporting. 

We take great care in maintaining our Salesforce organisation to provide an excellent user experience while delivering smart solutions. Your role will ensure Salesforce is robust and valuable, supporting our sales and marketing initiatives across school, university, and employer partnerships.

Your key responsibilities:

Maintaining our Salesforce platform

• Provide day-to-day support for Salesforce users through Jira and Slack. Improve our use of Jira to support the Unifrog team.

• Manage user roles, profiles, permission sets, and security settings to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.

• Build out clear and comprehensive documentation on how our Salesforce platform works, which can be used for sales training and future Salesforce development.

• Work alongside our finance team to ensure accurate and robust sales and commission calculations.

• Monitor the platform's health and identify data quality issues using reports, dashboards and alerts.

• Manage our Calendly integration, ensuring activities are recorded and reported accurately and that supporting documentation is up to date.

Developing our Salesforce platform

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align goals and priorities, gather requirements, define processes, and implement solutions within Salesforce.

• Design and implement automation workflows, validation rules, and custom objects to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.

• Proactively identify process improvement and automation opportunities.

  • For example, implement a screen flow to simplify a sales process.

• Conduct thorough testing to ensure any Salesforce development works as expected.

• Stay informed about Salesforce updates, best practices, and industry trends to recommend enhancements and drive continuous improvement.

Working together

Your projects will see you work closely with individuals across the company in our sales, finance and data teams. You’ll work closely with our Junior Salesforce Business Analyst who supports the team with Jira requests and reporting.

You will work closely with your line manager, the Head of Data and Insights, to define strategy and priorities.

You may be required to work alongside external Salesforce consultants.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator or in a similar role.

• Proficient in Salesforce configuration, flows, process automation, and reporting.

• Experience with data management tools (e.g., Data Loader, Excel).

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• An ability to distil complex requests into practical solutions.

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) is prospectively recruiting a small number of Mobility Programme Grant Assessors to join an existing assessment team for a flagship outward education and training mobility programme which enables learners in schools, colleges and universities to access international study and work opportunities and delivers transformative opportunities for individuals and communities across the UK.

The ACU works with a network of external assessors to assess applications and appeals from institutions in the Schools, Further Education/Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education sectors in the UK and British Overseas Territories. This is a unique opportunity to make a major contribution to a leading global mobility programme. We are awaiting confirmation that the programme will operate in Academic Year 2025/26 and are recruiting in order to be ready should the programme go ahead. Should the programme be withdrawn, no assessors will be needed.

We are currently seeking assessors for the Schools and Further Education/Vocational Education and Training sectors only.

Assessors will be responsible for evaluating applications against the programme criteria and will work within a sector team supported by a Senior Assessor. We are keen to welcome applicants from all four UK countries - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - to reflect the diverse and devolved nature of UK education and training.

Assessors must possess sector-specific knowledge of one or more of the sectors being recruited, and a solid track record of conducting high-quality, independent assessments for local, national or international agencies. You will also have substantial experience at a middle or senior management level in the UK Schools or FE/VET sectors, and the ability to produce concise, effective written feedback. We are also keen to hear from applicants with experience in both sectors.

Comprehensive, compulsory training will be provided to all successful applicants in March 2025, should the programme be confirmed for this year. Appointed assessors who complete the training will be paid a maximum of one day’s assessment rate as a contribution to their time spent undertaking the training. 

Assessors will each be required to commit to the equivalent of approximately 2 - 2.5 days’ assessment work (16-20 hours) per week throughout the 6-week assessment window, which we anticipate will take place in April and May 2025 (subject to confirmation). This equates to 4 applications in one day (i.e. 8 applications over 2 days, 10 applications over 2.5 days). Assessors will be paid £380 for each full day of completed assessments (4 applications) or a pro-rated amount for each assessment (quarter day). This rate is inclusive of feedback consolidation and of any supplementary review or reassessment that may be needed as the result of a quality check or moderation. 

Additional assessment days within the assessment window may be offered to those with capacity to do more, depending on the number of funding applications received. We also reserve the right to appoint reserve assessors in case of substantially increased demand. Being appointed is no guarantee of any paid work.

• Sector-specific expertise: demonstrable sector-specific knowledge and expertise of one or more of the sectors being recruited to (Schools or Further Education/Vocational Education and Training), and substantial experience at middle or senior management level in one or more of these sectors in the UK, and experience of working in education and training in one or more of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have strategic financial analysis and budgeting ability as well as risk management knowledge and experience. Knowledge and application of charity governance, legal and compliance processes, including UK GAAP and Charity Commission regulations is advantageous for this role. With strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting standards, budgeting and forecasting methods, and laws and regulations , you will be able to ensure the charity has robust systems and processes in place. You will have a collegiate approach to work and will be able to demonstrate team development and leadership skills. Knowledge of the Islamic charity sector and Zakat giving would be an advantage although not essential as training can be provided. Chapter One is an education charity that wants a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. We close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in eleven areas/regions of the UK and will support 3250 children in 2024-25.

Chapter One’s unique, Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling 5 to 7 year olds with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. Volunteers use a bespoke internet platform and a voice connection to link – from their workplace or home – to a dedicated classroom laptop for 30 minutes a week, during the school day, over an entire academic year.  The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability. 

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone to contribute to the work of our fast-growing charity. You will work as part of the Live Chat Team to provide immediate, real-time support to volunteers through our live chat system. This role ensures that volunteers have the assistance they need immediately; our analysts pride themselves in resolving technical issues quickly so volunteers can focus on their reading sessions with pupils. You will be the first point of contact for volunteers in need of assistance, so excellent customer service skills and a genuine interest in helping others is essential.

This split-day part time role is 15 hours a week, Monday - Friday for 39 weeks per year, as this is a term-time role. The working pattern will be three hours per day, 5 days a week, for 39 weeks of the year. This will include 13:00 - 15:00 every day, and we’re open to either 09:00 - 10:00 or 11:00 - 12:00 every day for the additional hour. Exact hours will be agreed prior to starting based on business need. This role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and the post-holder must be permanently based in the United Kingdom.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of "On track for inclusive train travel", a research, scoping and piloting project. This partnership project, funded by Motability Foundation and delivered alongside Community Rail Network (CRN), aims to make rail travel more accessible and inclusive for disabled people, including those with sight loss.

You'll be working to co-create an effective, tested, adaptable model for training, learning & culture change that can be deployed across the railways. This will ensure blind or partially sighted and disabled people always feel confident and supported when using rail.

You will act as the overall project manager of this complex and exciting project, including working closely with CRN and two of their locally-focused member organisations, Community Rail Lancashire and Gloucestershire Community Rail Partnership. While RNIB is the lead partner in reporting terms, this project represents a substantive partnership of the four organisations coming together to form one cross organisational team to deliver on the brief.

This is a fixed term contract of 2 years, and will be suitable for homeworking, or hybrid working at any of our RNIB offices across the UK.

Strong Project Management experience, but particularly in user-focussed, innovative projects.

You'll have experience of collaborative, constructive working with partners as you will be building effective partnerships founded on trust and respect.

Key requirements:
- Experience in building strong relationships with key target journalists.

The Support Organisation for Trisomy 13 and 18 UK (“SOFT UK”) is a not for profit charitable organisation structured as a charitable trust for the purposes of providing organisational support to those with first-hand experience of Trisomy 13/18 and other related disorders. The Board of Trustees (“the Board”) comprises the legal directors of the Trust. 

Main Responsibilities of the post

The Engagement Officer is responsible to the Charity Director for the management of engagement on behalf of SOFT UK, ensuring we are seen as professional, yet warm and welcoming to our service users.

In this role you will manage and maintain our social media strategy with support from our Communications Officer, seeking out new ways to communicate with our community.

These activities include, but are not confined to:

• Strengthening our relationship with current SOFT UK supporters, including families, fundraisers, and charity partners.
• Preparing, organising and facilitating regular video calls with SOFT UK families.
• Building new relationships, thus broadening our reach and impact.
• Engaging with SOFT UK volunteers through various media to ensure their volunteering experience is enjoyable and mutually beneficial.
• Working with the Charity Director and the Communications Officer to collaborate on content and engagement for Trisomy Awareness Month
• Working collaboratively to help organise SOFT UK Family Days.
• Work collaboratively to produce content for our SOFT UK social media channels and Youtube.
• Prepare detailed engagement activity reports.
• Develop our podcast/vlogcast strategy.
• Identify and attend relevant networking events and conferences, virtually and in person.

Furthering SOFT UK aims and objectives

• Be aware of the underlying principle of the charity’s work in ensuring that the needs and interests of SOFT UK’s families are fully recognised in all aspects of its work.
