About the role 

We’re looking for a proactive Project Manager to help deliver key strategic projects that support our mission and improve outcomes for the people and animals we support.

In this role, you’ll support the Senior Leadership Team and report into the PMO Manager in developing, testing and implementing projects within the PDSA pipeline. You’ll lead project workstreams, build clear project plans, and ensure delivery stays on track against timelines, budgets and KPIs. You’ll manage project documentation, monitor risks and dependencies and provide clear reporting in line with PMO and governance frameworks.

You’ll also analyse operational and financial performance to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, recommending improvements where needed. Collaboration will be key, as you’ll engage with a wide range of stakeholders to coordinate activity and maintain momentum

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven track record of delivering business change and technical initiatives while effectively managing multiple workstreams and projects
• Comprehensive understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence at all levels.
• Experience working collaboratively across multiple teams or departments to drive shared outcomes.
• Strong organisational skills, with experience in planning, tracking, and reporting project progress this will be completed within PDSA’s governance and delivery framework, risks, and dependencies.
• Experience managing a diverse portfolio of project types, adapting approach and style to suit each one.

This is a full‑time position working 35 hours per week on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

The role will require occasional travel typically a few times per month to PDSA sites for visits or team meetings.

Purpose of the Role: 

Fundraising plays an important role in the sustainability of Voice 21 and our ambitious new strategy aims to double our voluntary income to £2M by 2030. This new post of Fundraising Officer has been created to support the Head of Fundraising and wider leadership team with operations across high value fundraising streams – grant-making trusts and foundations, philanthropy and corporate partnerships. 

You will be responsible for researching potential funders, maintaining accurate records of fundraising contacts and activities, helping to build and maintain relationships with current and prospective funders, producing compelling reports for our funders and engaging communications for fundraising audiences, and creating and project managing inspiring engagement opportunities, including events, for current and prospective supporters.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working in a fundraising team – or else bring compelling transferable skills from a comparable, external-facing role. You will need to demonstrate that you can build and maintain great relationships with people at all levels, both internally with colleagues across the organisation, and with external high value stakeholders. Competent organisational skills are a must, with the ability to anticipate needs and exceed expectations. You will obviously need excellent communication skills too, including being able to write well and edit wisely (without depending on AI!) 

This varied role will offer plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and build your high value fundraising experience. It would suit an ambitious, motivated fundraiser who is driven by Voice 21’s mission and is looking to develop their career in the sector.

Key Responsibility of the Role: 

• Researching grant-making trust and foundations, maintaining a prospect pipeline, and developing and submitting funding applications.

• Managing reporting cycles and producing reports for funders.

• Maintaining the fundraising database (Salesforce), ensuring departmental data is accurate and up to date. 

• Organising engagement opportunities, including events, for prospects and/or funders, with oversight from the Head of Fundraising.

• Building and maintaining strong, sustainable relationships with fundraising contacts, ensuring excellent engagement and stewardship. 

• Supporting the Corporate Partnerships Lead as needed with corporate fundraising activities.

• Providing operational support to the Head of Fundraising and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring where appropriate that senior colleagues are fully briefed and prepared.

• Working collaboratively across the organisation to raise the profile of fundraising and to maximise opportunities.

• Other administrative tasks as required to support the fundraising team.
   

This job will require that you have: 

Essential: 

• Good understanding of the fundamentals of high value fundraising, with some previous experience working in a fundraising team to raise income to a target. 

• Experience of researching potential funders/donors and of successfully identifying great leads/prospects.

• Excellent written communication skills, with ability to translate complex information into simple and compelling narratives appropriate for the intended audience.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships at all levels. 

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative culture, working across lots of different projects/activities. 

• Self-motivated, comfortable working autonomously, and able to take ownership of own performance.

Desirable: 

• Experience of using Salesforce (or another CRM system) to manage contacts and pipelines, track performance, and report on outcomes.

• Knowledge of fundraising legislation, ethics, compliance, and data protection requirements.

Who you’ll work with: Your line manager will be the Head of Fundraising and you will work alongside a Corporate Partnership Lead. The fundraising team of 3 sits in the Operations Directorate.

Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role, with some travel expected to our London office (by Victoria station) and elsewhere for meetings. Occasional overnight stays may be required depending on where you are based. Voice 21 pays all travel and accommodation expenses. 

Contract: Permanent, subject to successful probation review after six months.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our financial team at the DofE.  The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and efficiency of financial transaction processing and procedures related to a defined group of stakeholders (vendors and staff). 

Maintain the stewardship of resources within the organisation and service internal and external stakeholder needs by ensuring adherence to policy and procedures and managing the development of finance team processes and people.  Support the identification and management of risk within financial activities.
 

Payables and Treasury team: ensure suppliers, staff and volunteers are processed and paid accurately and on time for the services and support they provide, ensure cashflow is managed to enable liquidity alongside maximising returns to be reinvested in charitable purposes.
 

What we are looking for:

A proactive and collaborative individual with strong technical expertise and a people‑centred approach. 

You will be a near‑qualified or finalist accountant (AAT, ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW or equivalent experience). 

Who can demonstrate within a working environment a  solid understanding of accounting principles and hands‑on experience across financial transactions, reconciliations, journals, and month‑end processes.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen standards, improve processes, and help ensure our schemes are sustainable, robust, and internationally relevant.

• Contribute to the review and development of accreditation and licensing schemes, from application through to assessment and renewal 

• Monitor emerging global standards, legislation, and research relevant to animal welfare accreditation

As a forward-thinking organization, we're looking for a dynamic Finance Manager to join our senior management team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of Future CFO clients. This includes financial planning, budgeting, reporting, analysis, strategic decision-making and donor reporting. The Finance Manager is responsible for managing, supervising, and directing financial activities that our charity clients buy into. Other duties include strategic support and advisory to the management personnel and their Board members ensuring finances are used beneficially, developing the financial strategy, assessing investments, and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have Non Profit and NGO experience and possess a blend of strong financial accounting skills and the ability to manage complex month-end processes across clients that are based globally. The individual will possess excellent communication abilities to liaise effectively with various teams and clients. Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process across all programmes and country offices, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and funding requirements

• Develop and maintain robust financial models, including forecasts and scenario planning

• Produce regular forecasts (income, expenditure, and cash flow), highlighting risks and opportunities

• Partner with budget holders to ensure accountability and ownership of financial plans

Management Reporting & Financial Performance

• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts

• Deliver clear variance analysis with meaningful insights for decision-making

• Develop and enhance management reporting to improve visibility across programmes, grants, and geographies

• Present financial performance to senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders in an accessible way

Financial Accounting, Month-End & Audit

• Oversee and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes

• Maintain integrity of the general ledger, including review of journals, accruals, and prepayments

• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled regularly and supported by appropriate documentation

• Lead the year-end audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors

• Prepare statutory accounts and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations

• Continuously improve financial processes, controls, and systems

Reserves & Cash Flow Management

• Support the development and management of organisational reserves in line with policy and strategic objectives

Grant & Donor Financial Management

• Ensure timely and accurate donor financial reporting, including variance analysis and narrative explanations

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

• Minimum 5-6 years experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the non-profit, international development, or grant-funded sector

• Proven experience managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

• Strong experience of grant and donor financial management and reporting

• Experience leading month-end and year-end processes, including external audits

• Experience working across multiple entities, countries, or complex organisational structures is highly desirable

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and controls

• Excellent financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting skills

• Ability to interpret and present complex financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders

• Knowledge of donor compliance requirements and restricted funding environments

• Experience with finance systems and advanced Excel (or equivalent tools i.e. quickbooks, xero, etc.)

• Strong understanding of cash flow management and reserves planning
