Salary -   2 days per week £28,000 (prorata f.t. £70,000) + benefits

Home based - with travel to the City of London

The Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers is a modern City livery company.  Founded as a Guild in 1995 by some leading members of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, the Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers became the 107th livery company of the City of London in 2005 and was granted a Royal Charter in 2009. We have some 250 members all of whom either are or have been involved in tax , as tax practitioners, including Chartered Tax Advisers, accountants, lawyers and tax officials, and the Company complements the activities of the professional bodies involved in tax.

The successful candidate Clerk will demonstrate: 

·         An understanding of the needs of a similar sized membership organisation

·         Excellent verbal and written communications

·         A thorough understanding of discretion, tact and confidentiality which demonstrate patience and respect in difficult circumstances

·         Good and up to date IT skills in administration and social media

·         Proven experience of excellent and successful event management

·         Excellent people skills with the ability to inspire confidence when dealing with people at all levels

·         Willingness to work flexibly particularly at meetings and events including those in the evening some held remotely
