Job Title: Money & Energy Adviser

To deliver money and energy advice service for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living challenges. You will provide subject matter expert support within our Patient Support Services team, and will work closely with our Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to develop and grow this service in your area.
Summary
To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.
Key responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice Service in the region for patients and carers at risk of fuel poverty to access independent support on money and energy matters
• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Money & Energy Advice Service across the region, effectively managing an ongoing caseload
• Provide practical advice to patients, assessing their needs and identifying sources of support to resolve financial, practical and psychosocial challenges.
- Activities will include creating budget plans, completing income maximisation checks and benefit claims, carrying out switching exercises and Home Energy Surveys (this is not an exclusive list of tasks)
- Responsible for identifying cases where FSA approved advice is required, and supporting patients in the referral of their case to our approved partner organisation or other appropriate regional/national services
• Act as a gateway to local information and access to:
- Kidney Care UK Patient Grants service, raising awareness of the service and supporting applications
- Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service, to ensure patients have access to reliable and accurate patient information relating to kidney disease, patient pathways, models of care, and patient choice
- Kidney Care UK Counselling Service and other appropriate services to meet patients’ emotional and physiological needs
• Work closely with local Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to ensure that patients receive expert advice in all areas of need, with smooth, effective handovers ensuring that patients feel supported and part of the Kidney Care UK ‘family’ at all times
• Maintain records on the Kidney Care UK database to support service delivery and communications with patients, and facility effective reporting to Kidney Care UK and our funders
• Raise awareness of Kidney Care UK and the benefit of its full range of Patient Support Services amongst kidney patients, their families, carers and professionals across the region
• Provide insight on patients’ concerns and unmet needs to inform Kidney Care UK research, campaigns, and new service development activity

About the role:
The role is home working, however the team collectively cover England and Wales, so the ability to travel with occasional overnight stays is vital.
As a Peer Support Volunteer Manager you will be:
- Responsible for development and management of a cohort of lived experience volunteers
- Triaging and Risk Assessing clients as they are referred into the service
- Facilitating Peer Support groups, both online and face-to-face
- Contributing to the training and recruitment of new volunteers
You will need:
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of trauma informed working in a client facing role, with knowledge of the impact of traumatic bereavement

We have a track record of over 10 years of impactful, timely and relevant research that has influenced change in the refugee education sector in the UK and internationally.
This role will lead and manage REUK’s research and policy portfolio, ensuring that it maintains and develops REUK’s external position as a thought leader on refugee education practice and research.
Over the year ahead we will be working on a range of commissioned research projects, both domestic and international, and building the evidence we ourselves know is needed as a result of our frontline work. You will lead these projects, whilst securing new work for the months and years ahead.

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS), is the only patient-led organisation in the UK specialising in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Due to its targeted focus on RA and JIA, NRAS provides truly expert and wide-ranging services to support, educate and campaign for people living with these complex autoimmune conditions, their families and the health professionals who treat them.
1. Main Purpose of Job
To drive referrals to and use of, NRAS services from NHS relationships across the UK.
Identify, build and maintain relationships with Rheumatology and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure relevant healthcare professionals are aware of the support that NRAS provides to people with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Adult Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Blood Cancer UK research team following the recent launch of our ambitious new five-year research strategy which seeks to accelerate progress towards the day when no one dies from blood cancer or the side effects of its treatments. This post sits alongside two other research grants officers responsible for our clinical research and fellowships portfolios.
You will be an integral part of the research funding team and will be responsible for a range of pre and post award grants management activities required for the effective administration of our discovery and translational research portfolio.
Expected travel for this role includes relevant meetings or conferences, team workshops, team/department away days and attendance at two all staff away days annually. The London office is open for use by all staff from Monday –Thursday
The research funding team holds a routine anchor day in the office every Tuesday for all team members who are able to attend. Attendance at an anchor day at least once a month is expected for all members of the research funding team living outside London.

Our Young Person’s Sanctuarys offer a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment outside of normal school hours for those aged 14 – 18 who feel in mental distress or crisis.
About the Role
Our Young Person’s Sanctuarys' Youth Mental Health Worker role will involve assessing needs and offering one to one support to service users to enable them to begin the process of improving their mental health and wellbeing and to providing clarity on services and pathways available in the area. The role will be part of a larger Young Persons Sanctuary team made up of YPS Youth Mental Health Workers, YPS Manager and volunteers.
Service Delivery
- Deliver crisis focussed 1:1s and ensure outcomes which supports young people experiencing a mental health crisis in Milton Keynes, in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed crisis service and requirements as well as contract requirements.
- Assessing need and suitability for the service in line with the access to services process and undertaking 1:1s.
- Contribute to maintaining an effective volunteer workforce for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s HR policies, procedures and guidance (workload planning and support).
- Carry out Cash Handling, Health and Safety and Data Collection responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, requirements and guidance.
- Attendance to mandatory reflective practice is required for this role. It occurs once every six weeks for one and a half hours.

As New Partnerships Manager, your priority will be delivering new, high-value and long-term support from the private sector to help tackle the housing and homelessness emergency.

About the team
