Team: Brand and Marketing

Location: Remote

Work pattern: 35 hours per week, Mon-Fri, flexible working options available

Salary: Up to £47,441.93 per year

Contract: fixed-term contract until 30th September 2027

We are the UK’s largest cat welfare charity. All over the country, our passionate employees, volunteers and supporters are using their kindness and expertise to make life better for millions of cats and the people who care for them.

In 2027, Cats Protection will mark its 100th anniversary — a major milestone in the charity’s history. To support this celebration, we’re developing an exciting Centenary programme, and we’re looking for two Project Managers to lead key workstreams that will bring it to life. From large-scale events and merchandise to celebrity involvement and internal celebrations, this role will be central to shaping how we celebrate a century of caring for cats and how we plan for the next 100 years.

Responsibilities of our Project Manager (Centenary):

- Responsible for all aspects of the project management process, developing and managing the project plan, monitoring and reporting on progress and adjusting plans as necessary

- Act as champion for the project management framework

- Coordinate meetings, resources, and stakeholders to keep projects on track

- Support the creation of business cases, plans, and specifications

- Build and manage relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

- Lead and provide support for workstreams and act as the main contact for project teams

- Identify project risks and issues, ensure these are managed effectively

- Monitor and report on project expenditure against budgets

- Establish the success of workstreams and conduct reviews to assess effectiveness

About the Brand and Marketing team:

- We sit within the Marketing & Income Generation directorate

- The Brand and marketing team are responsible for delivering our vision for Cats Protection to be seen as the leading cat charity known for its innovative, effective approach and positive impact on society through raising awareness and engagement with our brand

- We are a team of 29 delivering design, editorial, digital marketing and more

What we’re looking for in our Project Manager (Centenary):

- Project Management qualification and at least three years experience in a similar role

- Proven track record of successful large-scale project management and delivery

- Experience working with stakeholders at all levels

- Large-scale event development experience

- Experience monitoring and reporting on project expenditure against budgets

- Experience organising and facilitating engagement sessions

- Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously

- Agile and flexible with excellent communication skills
