The Church of England Pensions Board ("the Board") is a statutory body which is a corporate trustee and administrator of four pension schemes, including both defined benefit (final salary, hybrid and CARE) and defined contribution arrangements. Almost 44, 000 people and 700 Church organisations rely on the Board for their pensions. The Board also provides housing services, providing over 2,400 residents with retirement housing.

The Board's investment team stewards approximately £3.4 billion in a diversified investment portfolio. The team are responsible for ensuring these funds are invested responsibly and with consideration to the ethical values of the Church.

The purpose of this role is to support and deliver key responsible investment and stewardship functions within the Pensions Board, enabling the Board to maintain a position as a recognised leader in responsible investment. This role will be line managed by the Managing Director, Responsible Investment and will work alongside two other Responsible Investment Analysts within a Responsible Investment team of seven.

• Hybrid working with 1-2 days in office preferred

• A salary of £58,000 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

This is a new role to support the coordination and delivery of the Responsible Investment (RI) Team strategy. The role will support the entire RI team with administration and project coordination tasks including reporting and will report to the Chief Responsible Investment Officer (CRIO) with a dotted line to the Managing Director, Responsible Investment.

The Sexual Violence (SV) Alliance is a ground-breaking collaboration between seven specialist sexual violence organisations: four Rape Crisis Centres (nia, Rape Crisis South London, Solace and Women & Girls Network) and three specialist organisations, (Galop, Respond, and SurvivorsUK). Together, we bring experience in delivering expert, intersectional, and trauma-informed services to survivors of sexual violence.

The Alliance Coordinator (AC) will work closely with the Alliance Director to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Alliance. They will support across a wide range of tasks that are critical to operational and strategic leadership of the Alliance, including preparing and coordinating senior meetings, preparing communications, report writing and collating survivor feedback. Whilst the postholder will not have direct line management responsibilities, they will play a vital role in ensuring smooth communication across the partnership. The role is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about sexual violence services and is looking to develop a range of transferable skills on a busy and fast-paced project.

Whilst the successful candidate will be employed by nia, they will be accountable to the Alliance as a whole and will be expected to work on occasion across different members offices.

Summary

The Church of England has recently agreed a significant increase in funding to support God's mission and ministry across the country, supporting local parishes and growing many more new worshipping communities to serve the whole nation. The distributions will also help fund dioceses' plans to serve the nation in various areas such radically cutting the Church's carbon footprint and supporting parishes, cathedrals, and dioceses with using their buildings, to best missional effect whilst ensuring their protection, enhancement, conservation, and appropriate adaptation.

The Net Zero Carbon programme was established to help the Church of England to deliver its commitment to reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2030. It aims to aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport by 2030. The team manages the distribution of a grant portfolio worth £190 million across 2023-33, aimed at supporting and equipping dioceses, parishes and other parts of the Church to reach the milestones set out in the Routemap to Net Zero 2030.

This role will play a vital role in supporting the work of the Net Zero Carbon Programme's grant streams, supporting it in delivering a consistent and responsive service to grantees.

The purpose of this role is to provide a responsive service as operational officer for the grant schemes under the Churches Workstream in the Net Zero Carbon Programme:

• Currently the Demonstrator Churches Grant Fund and the Boiler Replacement Hardship Grant Fund,
• 26-28 Decarbonising Churches Grant Fund

The postholder will be the first point of contact on behalf of the grant giver for new applicants and existing grantees under the grant schemes, handling a busy caseload from pre-application contact through to completion. This will involve all aspects of grant service delivery including assessment, issuing of offers and rejections, monitoring, payments, quality assurance and evaluation within the governance and decision-making framework in place for the grant schemes. The postholder will work under the supervision of the Demonstrator Churches Grants Manager and the Decarbonising Churches Lead, who will provide overall guidance and strategic oversight for the relevant grant funds, and will work closely with the Grants Administrator on operational matters.

The role will report directly to the Net Zero Carbon Programme's Decarbonising Churches Lead.

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a MEL Manager to join the team in London or Brussels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution in a newly created role.   

 In this role you will strengthen CAF’s capacity to measure, evaluate, and learn from its climate impact initiatives. This role ensures that strong evidence and insights guide continuous improvement with a particular focus on the effective delivery of the AAQD implementation programme. 

As MEL Manager you will act as the MEL focal point, managing reporting, evidence generation and dissemination both internally and externally, of the respective programme. The application of lessons and evidence is crucial to successful delivery during the two-year timeframe of the programme. The post holder will lead on developing and delivering a learning plan to support the impact of the programme and its future direction.

The role will focus on the design and implementation of a programme level MEL system and associated tools and processes, to optimise programme efficacy and promote the use of data and evidence in driving results. 

Working across the MEL, EU and other Portfolio teams, you will apply CAF’s organisational MEL system and tools for the benefit of our work in the EU whilst also strengthening CAF’s contribution to impact overall. 

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;

• Solid experience developing and managing MEL frameworks (including Theories of Change and results frameworks) and their implementation in large international projects and programmes, ideally in a global philanthropy, air quality, and/or climate change or international development context
• A strong understanding and experience of embedding equity in MEL approaches 
• Experience fostering a culture of - and mechanisms for - openness and learning across a team of multiple partners and geographies

At Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network we’re looking for someone to join us as our Senior Legal Aid Advisor. We will always stand by people standing up to an unjust immigration system. We provide a safe haven for people to rebuild their lives and our Senior Legal Aid Advisor role is a key part of that. Sitting in the immigration team, you will work on our Legal Aid contract alongside a team of Immigration Advisors working on a mix of grant funded projects for migrants unable to afford private representation. You will work within a supportive environment, reporting to our Immigration Manager, and be able to develop your areas of expertise. We’re a small and colaborative team so you will have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the organisation. 

Main Roles
Manage a full caseload of complex immigration matters funded by legal aid, including
asylum, human rights, and deportation cases.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations (IAAS, SRA, LAA).
Complete funding applications, manage provider submissions, track time, prepare
and submit legal aid bills and ensure compliance with LAA obligations.
Provide ad hoc supervision, mentoring or training to members of the immigration
team working on related immigration matters.

Specific Duties
1.Manage a full caseload of complex immigration matters funded by legal aid,
including asylum, human rights, and deportation cases.
a.Manage a complex caseload across the field of immigration, nationality and
asylum law.
b.Prepare, draft and file appeals to the First-tier and Upper Tribunals and conduct
appeals hearings as required.
c.Own legal aid processes for each case: complete funding applications, provider
submissions, billing, time recording and compliance with funder requirements.
d.Provide expert legal advice and represent clients in hearings; instruct counsel
when necessary and manage counsel budgets.
e.Interview and advise clients regarding immigration and asylum law procedure, and
practice in a sensitive and professional manner.
f.To maintain accurate and detailed case records of clients for the purpose of
continuity of casework, information retrieval and statistical monitoring, using
Advice Pro as appropriate and as required by management.
g.Advocate on behalf of clients by telephone, letter and email with appropriate
agencies.

2. Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations (IAAS, SRA, LAA).
a.Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with IAA, IAAS
registration or similar professional body, e.g. SRA
b.Keep up to date at all times with changes in the law by reading and attending
training events relating to asylum and immigration.
c.Adhere to casework procedures as outlined in LRMN’s policies, the IAA, SRA,
IAAS, SQM and AQS.
d.To maintain accurate and detailed case records of clients for the purpose of
continuity of casework, information retrieval and statistical monitoring, using
manual or/and computerised systems (Advicepro) as appropriate and as required
by management.
e.Produce reports to meet funder’s and LRMN requirements.
f.Work closely with the Immigration Manager and/or external evaluator in gathering
data and information to produce accurate monitoring and evaluation reports.
g.To assist LRMN in liaising with its funders and to provide statistical information
and updates as required.

3. Complete funding applications, manage provider submissions, track time, prepare and
submit legal aid bills and ensure compliance with LAA obligations.
a.Complete initial funding applications and any subsequent variations or
exceptional funding requests; gather and upload supporting evidence; ensure
eligibility and means assessments are correctly recorded.
b.Submit and monitor claims through the LAA portal (or other relevant portals),
respond to queries or requests for further information, and liaise with LAA
caseworkers or contract managers as required.
c.Draft detailed bills in the required format, check calculation of fees and
disbursements, obtain necessary approvals, and submit within contractual
deadlines.
d.Maintain documentary proof to satisfy LAA audit requirements (attendance
notes, advice records, evidence of means), respond to audit enquiries, and
implement remedial actions where required.

4. Provide ad hoc supervision, mentoring or training to members of the immigration team
working on related immigration matters.
a.Maintain close liaison with the Immigration Manager to ensure a unified approach
to leading and developing the team.
b.Provide occasional mentoring or supervision to individuals working on legal aid
cases.
c.Provide occasional training to individuals working on legal aid cases.

5. Other Duties
a.To participate in LRMN staff meetings, maintaining a high level of professionalism

WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Grant and Major Donor Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and grant management across a global organisation dedicated to the teaching of Christian Meditation.

Working to the Executive Director, you will interact with our decentralised finance, marketing and communications staff and volunteers.  

Together, you will nurture Major Donor relationships and create and manage appropriate donor stewardship schemes and rationalise our income streams.

You’ll ensure grant reporting and management is kept on track whilst developing targeted proposals for new funding from sympathetic donors in the arena of Trusts and foundations.  

You will work to support both our teaching and resourcing of meditation and the running of our retreat centre in Bonnevaux, near Poitiers in France.

An excellent writer with excellent financial and budgeting skills, you will be adept at pulling together relevant, succinct and compelling information for our donor reports and bids.

You’ll work with communications staff to develop impactful donor communications which enhance our accountability and inspire renewed major donations.  

You will have a demonstrable track record in winning grants as well as in the stewardship of major donors.  

Occasional trips to France.

Senior Grant Making Manager – 12 months fixed term contract

The Senior Grant Making Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of funding in our England Directorate and in particular our responsive funding in the London, South East and East Region.

Reporting to the Senior Head of Responsive Funding in the London, South East & East Region, you will play a key role in delivering our strategy, ‘It Starts with Community’, maximizing the impact of our funding across the region with a particular focus on London where you will work with others to develop our regional and London specific strategic direction, ensuring excellent management and oversight of day-to-day grant making and learning.

You will own key stakeholder relationships within London and play a lead role in developing the regions’ stakeholder engagement and relationship strategy. You will be a key representative of the National Lottery Community Fund in the region as part of the Regional Leadership Team, deputising for the Head of Region as necessary.

You will also be a key member of the England Leadership Team, maintaining strong relationships with colleagues across the England Directorate including other regional teams, key business partners as well as colleagues across The Fund.

• Stakeholder Engagement across London and the region – To maximise our impact, to ensure a joined up collaborative approach and for learning and awareness raising, we need to work with others. You will hold, develop and maintain a strong network of external relationships.
• Leading, supporting and inspiring a team of 3 x Funding Managers (who you line manage) –providing support and overseeing the work of their teams (approx 20 staff), with a focus on delivery, values and maintaining wellbeing. You will also provide leadership to the full regional team.
• Leading through change and supporting the delivery of our new operating model and ways of working. This includes ensuring teams understand and adapt to change, that operating structures align and our processes and procedures are consistent across all of England responsive teams.
• Engagement locally and at an England and UK level. – You will liaise with and hold key relationships with other regional hubs and England funding teams as well as functions in Business Support, Knowledge and Learning and Communications, to ensure a joined up one Fund approach. You will also need to maintain solid relationships across a number of key Corporate functions including Finance, Legal, Audit, Service Design/GMS amongst others.

As a Dementia Adviser, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. You will offer support to your clients in a variety of ways, whether in the client's own home, or at other locations in the community, face to face, by phone, letter, or email. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals, and facilitating peer support groups for people living with dementia on occasions in various location in the borough!

You will need

- The confidence and ability to communicate with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding. You will be required to speak publicly at events about dementia, delivering information and signposting people to further resources and networks. 
- The ability to support people affected by a diagnosis of dementia to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives. 
- You will be able demonstrate your skills being proactive, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a local team and SW London team.
- Strong IT skills for inputting detailed, factual case records on a client database and using virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom). The ability to travel across local area independently and wider area on occasions. 

What you’ll focus on:  

- Your primary role will be in delivering personalised and tailored support to people affected by dementia. This could include the person living with dementia, carer, family or friends. 
- Being a named, trusted contact for people affected by dementia, enabling them to access vital services whilst improving people’s sense of well-being, ultimately giving them more control over their lives and decisions. 
- Managing your own caseload of clients and referring people to the appropriate health and social care organisations when required, which will include safeguarding’s. 
- Providing advice and guidance at local peer groups, specific dementia groups and community networks, whilst looking out for new opportunities to promote the service and maintain the profile of dementia services across the area.

Business Partnering and Financial Reporting Manager | London - Hybrid | £70,000 + Benefits

For an international NGO based in London, we are recruiting a permanent Business Partnering and Reporting Manager. Reporting to the Global Head of Finance, this role will oversee all business and commercial reporting, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and KPIs, as well as the financial reporting, balance sheet, cash and reserves reporting and reconciliations. The role will have a lead input in the year-end close and preparation of the Annual Report and Audit process and will lead the finance business partnering team of two.

Main Duties:

• Lead month-end close and production of month-end business, commercial and MI reporting
• Deliver insightful reporting into the business and commercial performance by partnering key stakeholders and supporting the leadership decision-making
• Lead the Business Planning and annual budgeting processes, preparing packs and presentations for the Executive Committee, Board Finance Committee and Council
• Lead the forecasting process, ensuring their integrity
• Support the development of finance reporting using Power BI, to embed KPIs measuring finance performance
• Prepare presentations for the Exco and Council meetings around business planning, budgeting and forecasting packs
• Provide effective and robust challenge to ensure operational, commercial and financial targets are achieved
• Prepare the consolidated cashflow, balance sheet and reserves (including restricted funding)
• Oversee ledger integrity via monthly and year-end reporting processes and the reconciliation of reporting and balance sheet accounts
• Oversee the statutory reporting including charity VAT and Gift Aid
• Support the annual statutory accounts for the main charity and trading subsidiary and the annual audit through to sign-off of Annual Report and Financial Statements
• Lead, develop and mentor the business partnering team of two.
