We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-quality support to the CEO and Chair of the Management Board during an exciting period of growth and development.
This is a one-year fixed-term opportunity, with the possibility of extension, and can be offered on either a four- or five-day-per-week basis. The role is fully remote and home-based, with occasional national travel required for team meetings and other events, approximately five times per year.
The Executive Assistant will play a central role in supporting the CEO, with additional support to the Chair, ensuring that their time, priorities and commitments are managed effectively. The post holder will take responsibility for complex diary management, travel arrangements, meeting coordination, expenses and the preparation of briefings, presentations and other key documents. A significant part of the role will involve supporting the CEO and Chair with projects and organisational initiatives, coordinating information across the wider team and acting as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. The role will also support the organisation’s reporting processes, including gathering and quality-checking data from multiple teams and preparing clear, accurate reports for Management Board meetings.
We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant who has previously supported a Director or CEO and is confident managing complex diaries, meetings, travel and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion. You will bring excellent organisational and coordination skills, outstanding written and verbal communication, and the ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, are essential, alongside experience of working with CRM or data management systems and consolidating information from multiple sources. You will be highly detail-oriented, methodical and accurate, while also being proactive, adaptable and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The service provides support across the whole geography of Avon & Somerset. The Southmead Project is seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraiser to support the charity’s long-term financial sustainability.
The postholder will identify, research and secure funding from trusts, foundations, charitable bodies, statutory funders and other appropriate sources. They will lead on developing high-quality, persuasive funding applications and reports that clearly communicate the impact of the Southmead Project’s work and the needs of the people it supports.
Working closely with the CEO, Head of Finance and trustees, the Fundraiser will develop and deliver an annual fundraising plan, maintain a strong funding pipeline, and support the organisation to diversify its income. The role will require excellent writing, research, relationship-building and organisational skills, alongside a strong commitment to the charity’s values and mission.
Develop an annual fundraising plan, alongside the Head of Finance and CEO.
Carry out ongoing prospect research to identify new sources of funding from trusts, foundations, charitable bodies, statutory funders and other appropriate sources.

Role Overview
As part of the CfA funding, we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join GSF. This is a part-time role, based remotely within the UK.
This role will be central to ensuring that all financial aspects of the Communities for Afghans programme are delivered to the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and transparency. About the Role
As Finance Officer, you will:
· Manage programme budgets, spending, and grant tracking to ensure every aspect of funding is compliant with grant conditions.
· Act as the primary point of contact for Sponsor Groups and internal staff on finance-related queries.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Management & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with government grant conditions and all funder requirements.

Payments & Authorisation

• Process payments to Sponsor Groups only after authorisation.
Monitoring & Fraud Prevention
• Work with the Sponsor Group Relationship Manager and Sponsor Groups to ensure grant funds are used correctly, providing guidance on compliant spending and supporting them to submit evidence packs using standard templates.
• Carry out periodic spot checks and reconciliations of Sponsor Group expenditure to confirm accuracy and transparency.
• Implement fraud controls, such as dual sign-off and audit trails, to safeguard programme funds.
• Provide independent assurance of correct grant usage within six months after the end of the financial year, helping to identify and address any issues proactively.
• Report any significant compliance concerns to the Operations Director and contribute to improving financial processes where needed.
Sponsor Group Support
• Ensure guidance and templates are clear, accessible, and consistent with funder requirements.
