LTSB has ambitious plans to grow our income over the next few years. You will be joining our fantastic Fundraising team, which currently has three members of staff who work with trusts, foundations, institutions, companies and individuals to ensure the charity has the funds and key relationships necessary to achieve our aims.
This brand new role will support with developing and growing the number of trusts, foundations and institutions we are working with.
Income from trusts, foundations and statutory sources is an important income stream at LTSB, and you will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to develop and execute a strategy in order to grow and retain some of our existing funders, as well as bring new ones on board through effective research and prospecting.
This role would suit someone who has some experience of trust fundraising but is looking for the next step, therefore you must have experience of grant writing (five figure bids). You will have competent writing skills and experience of building and maintaining strong relationships and searching for new ones, whether online or in person. You will be enthusiastic, driven and creative with a can-do attitude. This role will have periods of high intensity. Being able to manage the highs and lows of trust and foundations fundraising is key.
As we all work remotely, you will also need to be a self-starter and be able to work independently. We would expect a thorough understanding and commitment to LTSB’s vision, mission, and work.

About the role
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Officer with paid advertising and organic social media experience to join our Digital team.
As Digital Marketing Officer, you’ll be responsible for creating email marketing campaigns, running paid advertising activity and creating content across organic social channels to help teams across the organisation hit their objectives. You’ll be joining our friendly and expert Digital Engagement Team.
You’ll have previous experience managing email and paid marketing campaigns, creating content for social channels and using digital platforms including Meta Business Manager, Email Service Providers and GA4.

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:
- Managing marketing campaigns across digital channels including email, paid media and organic social.

Who you are
We’re looking for an experienced campaigning leader with a track record of winning and innovating. Working with elected student leaders, you’ll lead the development of NUS’ campaigning from ‘developing’ to ‘excelling’. You’ll have the skill and drive to build a modern mass-engagement movement of students supported by a far-reaching digital strategy and a ground force of organised student activists. You’ll also shape the political agenda itself, identifying key issues and generating transformational solutions that sit at the heart of our campaigning. This role is responsible for NUS’ campaigning, press, political communications and influencing across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. NUS works across a wide range of issues and our priorities are set by students. You’ll also be tackling social policy issues, including climate change and liberation for women, black students, LGBT students, trans students and disabled students.

JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate the Trust’s health programmes within leading children’s hospitals, and education programmes within schools across the UK.
Our Children’s Hospital One-to-One Mentoring Programme offers patients aged 11 to 18 years old an exceptional experience through receiving one to one mentoring from our world class Athlete Mentors and through accessing online materials. The programme supports young people who are or have been seriously ill, and or injured patients with their physical and mental wellbeing whilst they are receiving care as in or outpatients at hospital.
Our Education Programmes help young people build healthy relationships in school and with the wider community, and understand the importance of physical and mental wellness. With a strong focus on their own personal development, it promotes positive behaviours and attitudes, and sets them up to achieve in education, work and life.
Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating our One-to-One Mentoring programmes in hospitals, supporting young people to sign up (with their guardian), and linking them with their athlete mentor. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with hospital staff to ensure a steady flow of referrals and to ensure we provide the best possible experience and outcomes for patients who join our programme.
- Coordinating schools-based programmes, liaising with participating schools, supporting young people’s registration, and working with our athlete mentors to ensure smooth delivery.
The role would suit someone who has a proven track record of coordinating multi stakeholder youth programmes (ideally within/or in partnership with the health and/or education sector) and who is compassionate and willing to go the extra mile to provide an exceptional experience for patients (and guardians), and young people.
As a key member of the Trust’s team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with all of our team including alongside our world class Athlete Mentors. We are a close, supportive and innovative team, who want to see all our employees fulfil their potential.
