Responsibilities of our Proposition Writer: 

• The Proposition Writer is a key communications role within the Philanthropy and Partnerships Research and Engagement team. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to bring our work to life, translating complex programmes and strategic priorities into compelling, donor focused narratives and materials.
• Through the development of bespoke propositions, investment cases, impact reporting and supporting assets, you will help connect donors and partners to the change their support can make, inspiring confidence, commitment and long-term investment in Cats Protection’s mission ultimately helping to improve cat welfare.

• We sit within the Marketing & Income Generation directorate. 

• The Research and Engagement team sits within Philanthropy and Partnerships and brings together prospect research, communications and events to ensure a coordinated, insight‑led and supporter‑centred approach supporting fundraisers to grow pipelines, build meaningful relationships, and maximise long-term income for Cats Protection.

Context of role:
The Outreach Officer plays a key role in raising awareness of services, strengthening community

We are looking for someone who

Experience within an assessor role and knowledge of SEND would be particularly valuable. An Award in Education and Training, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, alongside an assessor qualification such as D32/33, A1, TAQA/CAVA or equivalent, would also be desirable.

Battle Cancer Program is a charity that brings people together through fitness and community to raise money and awareness for people affected by cancer.

Our programs work with gyms and their communities to deliver fundraising programs that combine fitness, challenge and community.

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Service Administrator to provide the systems, administration and data support that underpin the successful delivery of our programmes.

The Role

The Service Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that the administration behind our program is accurate, organised and effective.

To help us achieve our ambitions, we are looking to recruit a Business Support Manager, to join our small staff team and report to our Head of Operations.

As Business Support Manager, you will play a central part supporting the organisation and ensuring we offer great service and care to the boccia community.

We are looking for people who can make a positive contribution to our charity and use their experience and skills to support our work. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a real difference and bring new ideas for our processes and services.

Purpose of the role

· To manage assigned business support services within Boccia England, using a strong customer focused approach to achieve operational effectiveness and demonstrate our company values.

Key Accountabilities and Objectives

Administration - Provide a high level of administrative support to the Boccia England team (30% of time to this objective)

 · Develop and implement systems and procedures to support the efficient operation of Boccia England and improve the service we offer to members and customers

· Manage the enquires received into Boccia England which includes email, phone and web contacts.

· Provide administrative support to the wider team in areas for events, competitions, and talent.

· Ensure all Boccia England policies are up to date, fit for purpose and compliant with legislation.

· Support compliance with relevant standards including health and safety requirements and data protection in conjunction with the Head of Operations.

· Create a suite of standing operating procedures (SOPs) to support the team and create efficient ways of working and cost savings where appropriate.

Volunteer People Management –Manage and support Boccia England volunteers(30% of time to this objective)

 · Effective management of the volunteer community in organising and attending events, competitions and other areas as and when required.

· To include defining clear roles and responsibilities, clear communication; setting appropriate objectives; monitoring and reviewing performance; providing support and guidance and personal/professional development.

· Support and develop inclusive communication strategies in all communication to volunteers

· Collect feedback from the boccia community to identify improvement areas and action these where appropriate.

 

Commercial shop – Manage the Boccia England shop, deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and achieve income targets (30% of time to this objective)

 · Manage the Trading budget to realise a positive contribution to the overall Boccia England budget.

· Manage the shop suppliers and ensure stock levels are appropriate.

· Manage customer experience to achieve high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

· Complete regular reviews of products and complete market research to identify new items tosell which will benefit the boccia community and generate new income revenue streams.

· Be responsible for the shop website, ensuring it is up to date, maintained and the functionality is maximised.

 

Boccia England Membership - Manage the existing membership benefits package to ensure all areas are delivered (5% of time to this objective)

· Be a subject matter expert for the Boccia England membership platform.

· Deliver training to new and existing team members to maximise their use of the platform.

· Provide regular reports to the Senior Leadership Team and Board on membership numbers, trends and engagement  rates.

· Coordinate the annual membership activities to ensure these are delivered

· Collect membership feedback to report on the current membership offer and manage satisfaction within the membership packages.

· Support the team with initiatives to increase membership numbers and support the retention of existing or lapsed members.

· Input into the annual review of the membership packages to identify improvements and deliver these where appropriate.

Human Resources - Provide administrative support to the Head of Operations in people related work (5% of time to this objective)

 · Coordinate wellbeing newsletters and support the team to deliver a calendar of wellbeing initiatives.

· Work with the Head of Operations to support the recruitment of roles across the business, these may be paid, unpaid, volunteer and or self-employed roles.

· Support the administration of tasks, such as safer recruitment processes, onboarding and induction checklists, training needs surveys and plans.

 

General Requirements

About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Marketing Manager (Support and Influencing) to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. This is a home-based role, with occasional travel required for in-person team meetings and events.

As Senior Marketing Manager (Support and Influencing), your role will be pivotal in galvanising our society around dementia: creating the conditions for greater public engagement, determination and pressure for change.

Your work will position dementia as a major health and social issue, mobilising the public to pressure the system for better diagnosis, treatment, care and support. You will help us to move dementia from overlooked to unavoidable, whilst also contributing to increasing awareness and engagement with Alzheimer’s Society’s vital and life changing support services and health information.

You will also be leading the charge in driving the public to Demand a Better Future for people affected by dementia through targeted influencing marketing campaigns. You will build our influencing and campaigning marketing programme with key internal senior stakeholders to drive the public to pressure the government and the system to drive positive change around dementia diagnosis, treatment, care and support.

You will use audience centred, multi-channel marketing strategies, plans and activations to drive an increase in awareness, perceptions, understanding and engagement, helping us to continue to reach people affected by dementia with our life changing support services and health information. These marketing campaigns could cover paid, earned, owned, and shared media – and all will contribute to a high-quality brand experience.

We have provisionally scheduled the first stage interviews for this role to take place via MS Teams on Thursday 8th October.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have a strategic focus and extensive experience of developing and deploying successful multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns – ideally within the charity sector, health sector or government. You’ll have a demonstrable ability to translate organisational strategies and business needs into detailed marketing strategies, objectives and recommendations.

Crucially, you’ll have experience managing and motivating a high performing team in addition to experience in planning, deploying and managing marketing budgets and resources effectively. You’ll be able to work well in collaboration with other teams, with the communication and interpersonal skills required to influence and inspire across all levels.

What you’ll focus on:

- Leading upper-funnel public engagement marketing that frames dementia as a major societal and public priority, building understanding, urgency and pressure for change alongside support and campaign marketing activity.
- Overseeing the development and delivery of integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies, plans and campaigns for support services, health information, public awareness, campaigning and influencing priorities.
- Leading senior stakeholder groups to agree priorities, influence upwards and ensure marketing resource, plans and seven-figure budgets are focused on activity with the greatest potential to deliver organisational impact.
- Running key steering and working groups to identify, unblock and respond to marketing challenges and opportunities.
- Leading cross-organisational teams and agency partners to deliver joined-up activity across paid, owned, earned and shared channels, maximising integration and cross-sell opportunities.
- Line managing two marketing executives and ensuring the team operates as a high-performing, efficient function, with clear priorities, strong ways of working and shared accountability for delivery.
- Overseeing media planning and implementation for support and influencing marketing campaigns in collaboration with inhouse delivery teams and external agencies.

Quality Manager

We’re working with a national charity to recruit an experienced Quality Manager for a four-month fixed-term contract.

This is a predominantly remote role, offering the opportunity to support quality, compliance and continuous improvement across a network of around 50 services throughout the UK.

Working to an established audit schedule, you’ll carry out quality and health & safety audits, analyse findings and work closely with operational teams to ensure actions are completed and improvements are embedded.

The role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering remote and on-site quality and health & safety audits across services
• Working to an established organisational audit schedule
• Analysing quality and performance information to identify trends, risks and areas for improvement

About you

We're looking for someone with strong practical experience of quality assurance within a regulated health or social care environment. You may currently be working as a Quality Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Compliance Manager or Registered Manager and be looking to bring your operational experience into a wider quality and audit role.

To be considered, you must have:

• A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent NVQ Level 3+ Health & Safety qualification
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of CQC requirements and regulated services
• Experience of quality assurance, compliance, auditing or service improvement
• Experience carrying out audits and supporting services to address findings
• Knowledge of relevant health and social care and health & safety legislation
