Job description

We are looking to appoint a Development Director to take the lead in the development and implementation of our fundraising activities. For the right candidate this is an exciting opportunity to further develop on the success that the school has already achieved in building  long term, sustainable relationships with our donors and prospective donors. To reflect the importance of this role, you will be responsible directly to the Principal and under the day to day line management of the Deputy Principal (External Relations).

The main purpose of the role will be to focus specifically on potential major donors, develop a sustainable pipeline of major gifts to provide a reliable income stream for the school and provide exceptional stewardship for existing donors and cultivate new supporters.   You will work across all areas of the school to create compelling cases for support to attract and retain support from individuals and foundations.

This is a full time position and an appropriate salary will be negotiated which will reflect the importance of the post and the experience of the successful candidate.

The successful candidate need not necessarily be based in Oldham, but the school would consider applicants able to carry out the role primarily remotely.
