We're looking for an inspirational people person to join us as a Assistant Shop Manager in our brand-new flagship Shelter Shop in Leeds City Centre opening in spring of 2026. You will always ensure a safe, clean, bright and happy environment for your team to work in and for your customers to shop in, in turn attracting potential donors and volunteers.

We are looking for a part-time freelance Communications and Events Co-ordinator for 28 hours a month to support with marketing, event planning and delivery and administrative tasks as required. Freelance Communications & Events Co-ordinator Remit

Marketing:

- To continue to promote and build the Scots in London brand

- To maintain and update the Scots in London website as required, especially the events calendar

- To manage the social media feeds and strategy for Scots in London

- To act as a central liaison for all Scots in London member organisations and maintain and update the contacts database

- To support all the member organisations with the marketing of their events via Scots in London marketing channels

About the Role

Emerging Leaders is seeking freelance Trainers in and around Sheffield / Manchester / Blackpool / Nottingham / Liverpool / Birmingham to deliver “Game Plan”, a transformational four-session training programme designed to equip individuals with the mindset, motivation, and practical skills to flourish—even in the midst of adversity.

This role is ideal for people who are already embedded in community settings and have established relationships with adults (18+) who may feel stuck, overlooked, or limited by circumstance, in particular those on universal credit, experiencing or at risk of homelessness, NEETS, those struggling with confidence and well-being, or experiencing food insecurity.

Our vision is to see the training delivered across the UK. We’re looking for trainers who can run the programme regularly within their local network, area or region, building trust, momentum, and impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Emerging Leaders Trainer, you will:

• Identify and work with local partners to mobilise groups
• Deliver the “Game Plan” course, maintaining the quality, integrity and consistency of training delivery.

Our Southampton rehoming centre plays a vital role in supporting animals and their people, with on-site kennels and a cattery providing direct care and rehoming services. As Assistant Manager – Client Services, you’ll be at the forefront of this work. You’ll:

· Work closely with the team to assess and admit pets, match them with the right adopters, and guide clients through every step of their journey

· Use data and insights to shape services and continuously improve client experience

This is an 8-month maternity cover position until 30th September, working full time at 37.5 hours per week on a rota that includes 1 in 3 weekends and bank holidays. The working day is from 8.30am to 5.00pm.

At our Southampton rehoming centre, we provide onsite accommodation for pets in our care 24/7.  Overnight shifts are usually undertaken by team members who live on site.  Occasionally you will be expected to carry out night checks when the resident team members are either not working or away for a period of time.

Main purpose of the role

• Cultivate an open, creative, and inclusive spiritual life, inviting everyone in the Community to deepen their connections.

• Good financial planning skills and experience successfully managing a substantial budget.

This is an exciting role for a Trusts Fundraising Officer to join an ambitious trusts and foundations team, supporting delivery of the trusts fundraising plan and maximising grant income.

As Trusts Fundraising Officer, you will support the Head of Trusts Fundraising in delivering the charity’s trusts fundraising strategy and annual income targets. You will focus on building and managing strong relationships with charitable trusts and foundations, researching and developing a robust pipeline of prospects, and writing compelling funding proposals. You will work closely with the Research team to match projects to funders, manage restricted grants, and provide high-quality reporting and impact updates. You will also oversee co-funded partnerships, maintain accurate fundraising records and ensure timely donor stewardship.

To be successful, you will need or need to be: 

• A proven track record of delivering fundraising income from trusts and foundation
• Experience of researching potential trust supporters, building strong relationships and stewarding key donors.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to liaise confidently and effectively
• Pro-active and determined in researching and pursuing new funding opportunities, identifying projects that will resonate with these funders

Salary:£29,000 (FTE)

Location: Home based with occasional travel to meetings in South-East England
