Role overview:

As a member of MTL’s senior management team, you will take responsibility for the organisation’s growth and outward facing initiatives. You will lead and manage the organisation’s portfolio of social mobility leadership strands, and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders. You will provide dynamic day-to-day leadership for the MTL’s directorate responsible for income generation, impact, research, communications and policy, and ensure the organisation continues to be an exemplar of innovation, integrity and collaboration. You will also be contributing to, implementing and monitoring delivery of the organisation’s strategic plan.

Our Commercial Team 

We have a small commercial team with big ambitions for the sector.

Currently, we hold a single commercial contract worth around £3m per year delivered through 12 libraries. Our aim is to reach a point where we have a menu of commercial contracts that all of our 176 member library services can choose to benefit from according to the skills and assets of their service, their focus and strategy and of course the needs of their communities.

In the current funding climate for local authorities and local government services, these contracts are not just about the income and the services they can provide but about demonstrating nationally the power of the library sector, and how national services can be delivered locally through library services and the communities they serve.

Our approach is to identify and secure contracts procured by national government – either directly or with partners to extend the libraries’ capabilities – with an eye to local delivery through the library services. This allows us to centrally hold and manage the risk of the national contract, leaving the library services to deliver themselves.

We see libraries as a solution to many of society’s challenges and this is one route we use to bring the libraries into that solution.  

This area is part of our long term strategy – we are seeking to build the commercial team with this role and while it is initially a 12-month contract, our hope is that with the role in place we can generate the income to sustain and build on it.

Summary

• Routine weeding and mowing to keep lawn areas in top condition. Other lawn tasks include edging and re-seeding.
• Safely using machinery, leaf blower, hedge trimmer, mowers (ride-on and pedestrian), strimmer and chipper.

We’re investing in technology to grow our payroll services, and part of your role will be to help us transition onto the new payroll software smoothly and effectively. At the same time, we are developing other aspects of our consultancy offering and around 40% of your role will be to provide support and cover for these services to the treasurers and trustees of our clients.

As Administrator, your role will support the work of our highly acclaimed teams serving our church and charity partners, specifically providing our payroll and consultancy services. Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing. Last year we finalised our new Global Strategy for 2024-30, which will guide us in our efforts to accelerate progress towards global targets for leprosy and LF, and towards our vision of a world free from leprosy and LF.

Job Context

Lepra UK is seeking to expand impactful social research, and the research internship was created to assist with moving forward some key research pieces during the summer 2025. As Research Intern, you will work alongside the Head of Research and a team of research volunteers to complete a systematic evidence review on the experience of children affected by leprosy of stigma, discrimination and mental health responses. You will support the review with screening of articles, data extraction, verification, coding, synthesis and quality assessment. You will join the team two months into the project, taking on various roles to assist with the completion of this project. You will also help with conducting a literature review on the socio-cultural reasons for (non)adherence in multi-drug therapy treatment (MDT). Other tasks will be assigned as they emerge. Your work will provide valuable insight into under-researched fields and will contribute to evidence-based publications, recommendations and programming.

For a charity in central London, we're recruiting an interim Finance Business Partner to join a high-performing finance business partnering team. This role will manage the delivery of robust financial information to stakeholders. About this job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Income and Gift Aid Accountant Assistant to help us make sure every penny counts in our mission to stop MS. You'll play a key role in managing our income processing and supporting Gift Aid claims to help us maximise the value of every donation.

You'll ensure that donations recorded in our CRM system match the funds received, resolving discrepancies and supporting our income processes to run efficiently. Working closely with our Customer Services and Fundraising teams you’ll be at the heart of making sure our financial data is accurate and robust.

You’ll also assist with preparing and checking Gift Aid claims, helping us claim back vital extra funds at no additional cost to our supporters. Your detail driven approach will help us continue to build a strong and transparent foundation for everything we do.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a good understanding of financial accounting principles, strong Excel and IT skills, and a collaborative problem-solving approach. Excellent communication and organisational skills will also be essential as you work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure our income records are accurate and efficient.

Our partner seeks a driven and astute grants finance officer to support in the financial management and monitoring of projects being implemented in Asia, Africa and Latin America. This is a newly created position, and will suit someone who is meticulous, has strong attention to detail and able to manage relationships with a number of global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial transactions and entries, prepare and process income receipts and maintain accurate digital records and ensure proper filing of all financial documentation on internal systems.
• Review, verify, and process payments to suppliers and sub-grantees, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and compliant with internal controls.
• Create and close financial grants for codes; monitor and update internal trackers for grant management; track and report balances across active grants and funding streams; and complete grant reconciliations.
• Support in the preparation of donor reports, in the implementation of donor compliance controls, and in the preparation for any donor audits.
• Lead in preparing sub-grantee agreements, and processing of cash requests.
• Support organisational and sub-grantee understanding of and adherence to polices, procedures and compliance requirements.  

Requirements

• PQ accountant with experience of working in an international organisation working across multiple countries. Strong experience of accounts processing, financial accounting and reporting, and of supporting budgeting and financial management.
• Experience and understanding of the compliance and administrative of a complex grants portfolio, including grants from institutions donors.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with colleagues working globally.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and a strong command of the English language.
• Able to prioritise effectively, manage a varied workload and meeting deadlines.

About ShowerBox

ShowerBox provides free mobile shower services for people experiencing homelessness and hygiene poverty – offering dignity, care, and a safe space for anyone who needs it. Our Central London project is our busiest – over 200 guests visit each Saturday and around 60 guests have showers. We couldn’t do it without our amazing team of 20+ volunteers each week. 

Role Summary

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and hands-on Service Delivery Shift Leader to coordinate and oversee the smooth running of our Central London project based in Tottenham Court Road WC2H.  You’ll be responsible for taking the lead on setting up the Saturday service, managing the volunteer team, and ensuring a respectful, welcoming experience for all our guests. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the setup and close-down of the shower service

• Coordinate and support volunteers on the day

• Ensure health and safety standards are upheld

• Be the main point of contact for guests and volunteers

• Record and provide service delivery data as required

• Respond to any on-site issues with calm and care

Requirements:

• Organised and dependable, with good communication skills

• Experience leading a team of approx 20 volunteers each week

• Physically able to assist with setup (lifting, connecting gas/water/power - training provided)

• Experience of safeguarding processes and conflict management

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate Community Caseworker to join our team and provide frontline support to South Asian single mothers affected by domestic abuse. This is a unique opportunity to combine direct advocacy with community outreach and project work, helping us to deliver and develop our vital services.

Who We Are

 Maa Shanti is a specialist charity supporting South Asian single mothers and their children who have experienced domestic abuse. We offer culturally responsive, trauma-informed support to help women rebuild their lives and achieve independence. Our services include one-to-one casework, advocacy, group activities, mental health support, and community outreach. We work in partnership with local organisations to ensure women are heard, respected, and supported every step of the way.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide one-to-one emotional and practical support to women impacted by domestic abuse and exploitation
• Deliver in-person outreach and advocacy across North (with a focus on South Camden) and East London
• Build referral pathways and collaborate with grassroots organisations to strengthen community connections
• Facilitate workshops, group activities, and online peer spaces
• Help shape new services based on lived experience and community feedback
• Promote awareness of domestic abuse within South Asian communities and represent Maa Shanti at local forums

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 3 years’ experience (paid or voluntary) in VAWG, social care, or community support
• Fluency in a South Asian language (e.g. Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi)
• Experience supporting vulnerable groups, especially survivors of abuse and migrants
• A strong understanding of cultural barriers and intersectional challenges faced by South Asian women
• Confidence working both independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication skills
• A trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and empowerment-focused approach

WHAT WE DO

Our mission is to provide mental health support available to everyone, everywhere. Tellmi is a multi-award winning fully moderated, anonymous, mental health service predominantly for young people aged 11-25. The Tellmi app safely enables young people to talk about difficult things and encourages them to help themselves, by helping each other. Beneath an engaging anonymous peer to peer feed, Tellmi integrates the latest psychological research to promote the development of protective factors such as emotional resilience, empathy, social skills, stress management and coping techniques. Tellmi is commissioned by the NHS and Local Authorities across the UK and works closely with schools, CAMHS and VCSFEs.

The Tellmi app is free to download with premium features in commissioned areas. The app is available 365 days a year, 24/7 and our moderators, counsellors and therapists are available from 8:30am until 11pm everyday.

YOUR ROLE

Your role is to ensure the operation of the Tellmi Mental Health Service is safe and effective for all users. This role encompasses direct support for our users via the Tellmi app as well as behind the scenes management of operations. You will be one of the counsellors on call to respond to high risk posts during daytime working hours. You will manage the human element of our digital service including the users, moderators, counsellors, therapists and volunteers. You will take a keen interest in the wellbeing of our users and through curiosity and compassion ensure that they receive the best support that we can provide. You will succeed in this role if have experience of counselling, youth or social work and you are a good communicator who is able to win the trust of your team through compassionate accountability.

As Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) you will take primary responsibility for safeguarding and child protection within Tellmi. You will act as a point of contact for staff and volunteers, providing advice and support on child welfare and protection matters relating to our users. You will manage safeguarding concerns, liaise with external agencies especially in commissioned areas and ensure the company’s safeguarding policies are up-to-date and effective. Although an important responsibility the DSL element is a relatively small part of the overall role.

You will report directly to the Co-CEOs. We are looking for someone who is highly proactive, totally reliable and is eager to take the initiative to help us continually improve the service. We will expect you to enjoy learning and actively pursue continual professional development to ensure that you are fully up to date with the latest policies, regulations and guidance related to your role. You will be expected to share in the on-call remote support of moderators, counsellors and therapists in the evenings and weekends.

YOUR SPECIFIC DUTIES

Moderation, counselling and supervision (15%)

• Responsible for responding to high risk users during the day including emergency third party disclosures if required.

• Providing occasional cover for moderation or counsellors at any point during the operational hours.

• On call for ad hoc support of counsellors and therapists during evenings and weekends (typically three to four times a week).

Management and oversight of moderators, counsellors, therapists and volunteers (25%)

• Organise and manage rotas for moderators/counsellors.

• Process and monitor referrals for Tellmi Therapy.

• Performance manage and oversee quality control of moderators, counsellors and therapists.

• Maintain and develop guidance, training, policies and operating procedures (SOPs).

• Be the first point of contact for moderators, counsellors and therapists to support with operational issues and queries. 

• Facilitate peer supervision sessions for counsellors and therapists

• Manage recruitment of new moderators, counsellors and therapists including identifying workforce needs.

• Deliver moderation, counsellor and therapist training.

• Provide strategic oversight and operational support for the SuperPeer volunteer programme.

• Provide occasional support with training of the SuperPeer volunteers.

Designated Safeguarding Lead (10-15%)

• Maintain a level 3 safeguarding qualification and other relevant CPD for both children and adults

• Ensure that all staff and contracted staff maintain the safeguarding qualification appropriate to their role.

• Have primary responsibility for safeguarding for children and adults across the company (users and staff).

• Maintain and develop the Tellmi Safeguarding policy.

• Be on call for urgent safeguarding matters.

• Identify, monitor and create support plans for complex Tellmi users.

• Be the named Caldicot Guardian (training provided if needed).

• Write safeguarding and incident reports.

• Liaise with the Service Delivery Contract Leads to determine how to share safeguarding information in commissioned areas.

• Create NHS safeguarding assurance reports and attend relevant meetings in commissioned areas.

• Undertake the duties of Patient Safety Manager for NHS contracts including attending relevant meetings, maintaining patient safety procedures and reporting patient safety incidents.

App operations (40%)

• Monitor for issues arising on the app and report as appropriate.

• Make use of data generated by the app to monitor and report on the general performance of the Tellmi service.

• Contribute to the management of the Tellmi Directory.

• Use knowledge of user behaviour and app operations to contribute to the development of the app.

• Line manage the Operations Assistant.

• Collate user feedback.

• Manage user accounts and permissions on the Tellmi platform.

• Contribute to the maintenance and updates of company policies.

• Respond to email queries from users and others.

• Manage and setup of in app Notices to users including Tellmi Therapy invites.

• Maintain strong working relationships with Co-CEOs, and other senior staff in order to ensure transparency and rapid response to arising issues.

Contract Support (5%-10%)

• Ensure that the app configuration meets needs of new commissioned areas.

• Ensure that Tellmi meets the quality requirements for the LLR ICB by creating the LLR quality report, attending quarterly review meetings and progressing resulting actions. 

• Oversee quality reporting in future commissioned areas as required.

• Provide updates and insights to feed into the quarterly reporting to commissioners.

• Use knowledge of user behaviour to contribute to development of outreach and engagement campaigns.
   

YOUR EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS

Essential

• Someone who has experience of delivering and managing a support service. 

• Relevant qualifications in psychology, counselling or related field such as social work or mental health practitioner

• At least four years experience managing people in a relevant field
