Temporary Fundraising & Communications Administrator – Central London (4 Months, ASAP Start)

Hourly rate: £17.95 | Temporary 4-month contract | Central London

Are you organised, proactive, and looking to make a real difference in the charity sector? We are seeking a Temporary Fundraising & Communications Administrator to support a busy fundraising and communications team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fundraising, communications, and event support, helping a leading UK charity achieve its goals.

About the Role You will provide crucial administrative support to the fundraising and communications team, helping raise awareness and funds to enable the charity’s work.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as first point of contact for enquiries via email and phone.
  • Supporting fundraising activities, including processing donations, maintaining databases, conducting research, and preparing reports.
  • Assisting with communications, case studies, and social media activity.
  • Supporting the organisation, promotion, and delivery of events, including donor stewardship and public engagement activities.
  • Ensuring accurate records are maintained on the CRM system and supporting smooth administrative processes across the team.
Skills & Experience

Essential:
  • Experience in office administration (charity or nonprofit experience preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office) and experience using a CRM system.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Empathy with the values of the charity and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Desirable:
  • Experience supporting fundraising or communications teams.
  • Experience working with volunteers or senior staff.
  • Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
