We’re now seeking a Research & Impact Manager to lead a programme that places inclusion, impact and lived experience at the heart of research. You’ll shape and deliver studies that improve understanding, influence local and national policy, and demonstrate how peer-led approaches can achieve real health equity.

About the role

As Research & Impact Manager, you’ll take day-to-day leadership of our research and evaluation programmes. 

You’ll manage and develop our incredible team of peer researchers, supervise our Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate with the University of Essex, and build partnerships across academia, government, the NHS, and the voluntary sector. 

You’ll also design and deliver evaluations of our programmes, help evidence how lived experience-led services can improve equity in health and care, and support funding bids and grant applications, and the dissemination of impactful research.

About you

You’ll bring both strategic insight and hands-on research skills, ideally with a strong qualitative background. You’ll be comfortable working across academic, policy, and lived experience settings — and you’ll share our deep commitment to social justice and inclusion health.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about peer research and the power of lived experience
• Skilled in designing and delivering research and evaluation projects

As the Head of Engagement and Communications, you’ll support the Executive Director in leading AMOSSHE as a senior leader. You’ll also act as the Deputy Director, contributing to operational management, strategic development and stepping in for the Executive Director as needed. You’ll have line management responsibilities for members of the team. As well, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering impactful communications strategies that drive member engagement, promote AMOSSHE’s events and initiatives, and elevate the organisation’s profile.

Contract type: Permanent, full time (37 hours a week).

Location: Hybrid. Two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) in the office, central London. This is a requirement of the role.

Salary range: £45,000 to £50,000, with an expected starting salary between £45,000 and £47,000, depending on experience.

Summary of the role:

About the Role

The Operations Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of Migrateful’s cookery classes and the overall effectiveness of our operations. 

You’ll play the important role of supporting Facilitators by creating practical guides, coordinating training and skills-sharing sessions, gathering feedback, and maintaining up-to-date documentation such as health and safety records. 

Alongside this, you’ll help manage other key areas of Operations like responding to customer and volunteer queries, coordinating volunteers for public and corporate classes, and supporting process improvements around our use of Salesforce.

Field Studies Council Epping Forest is situated in the heart of Epping Forest, an area of around 2,400 hectares of wood-pasture stretching from Manor Park in East London to just north of Epping in Essex.

Two thirds of the Forest have been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). Our purpose built, fully accessible centre has six classrooms, and associated facilities, with direct access into our teaching sites which include woodland, grassland, heath, and river.

Homebased in the UK, the Overseas (OS) MEO provides support, advice and guidance to our districts and branches worldwide. The OS MEO will focus on world-wide membership engagement to ensure members feel connected to RBL, that they have a strong relationship with us and are informed and motivated to get involved.

The Membership Engagement Officer (MEO) is a key role which inspires and engages our membership to be active and fulfil their role and purpose while remaining compliant with the Legion’s Membership handbook and policies. It is a challenging and exciting post where no two days will be the same.

You will provide organisational support, advice and information to our members, and work closely with County Committees, the membership central team staff and other departments.  This a varied role which covers a range of duties from connecting and building relationships with Branches to compliance oversight and responding to membership queries.

The Role

IIED is seeking a dynamic and experienced Philanthropy Manager to work closely with IIED’s Head of Business Development and Directors to meet unrestricted income targets. The role also involves supporting IIED’s research and MEL colleagues across the organisation to raise restricted income. The focus of the role will be networking, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding a mixed portfolio of funders and prospects with the capacity to give at the £2m+ level.

You will be responsible for developing meaningful funder relations, including philanthropists, institutions and multilaterals. You will work closely with IIED’s Head of Business Development and IIED’s Directors to win high-value, multi-annual, strategic and unrestricted funding, from philanthropists, trusts and foundations, companies and high net worth individuals. You will engage institutional funders and philanthropists on a long-term journey with IIED to support our organisational strategic vision.​

About You

​To be successful, you therefore need to bring significant experience in generating unrestricted and large, multi-annual restricted fundraising, and a demonstrable track record of directly soliciting or orchestrating the successful cultivation of seven-figure philanthropic gifts. The role will include directly building donor relations, generating leads, developing and submitting cross-organisational pitches and propositions, building donor intelligence, developing collaboration through internal and external partnerships, and directly undertaking fundraising to support IIED’s transformational climate change and sustainable development agenda.

The Philanthropy Manager sits within the Business Development Team and is accountable to the Head of Business Development. The role will entail direct unrestricted and flexible fundraising, donor research, provision of cross-organisational funding strategies, pitches and propositions.

The role will also support IIED’s teams with their restricted fundraising activity, including helping them to produce pitches, propositions, supporting application documentation and application budgets.

To be successful in the role, you will enjoy playing the different roles in fundraising, and know how to gauge what is most appropriate – the driver or the navigator, the broker or the facilitator – as you are motivated by achieving transformative outcomes that matter.

The Business Development Team sits within the Strategy and Learning Group, which includes IIED’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Team, and is responsible for relations with IIED’s core funders.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

Location: This role is pan-London and will involve work from our Brent, London (Central), and Croydon Skylights. The successful applicant can choose to be based with their line manager located at either Crisis Skylight Brent, 1-2 Bank Buildings, High St, NW10 4LT, or 50 – 52 Commercial Street, London, E1 6LT.

About the role 

Working across the Crisis teams in London, you will lead on the delivery of our volunteer programme. You will be responsible for the recruitment of new volunteers, the support of existing volunteers and volunteer supervisors to maintain a positive volunteer experience. You will work across teams to ensure volunteers’ experience of volunteering is positive and play a key role in volunteer retention. You will be collaborative and dynamic in working with the team to identify and develop new volunteering opportunities.  You will have the ability and confidence to increase the diversity and variety of our volunteering opportunities to reflect our local community and better serve our members. You will be flexible and innovative in reaching a diverse group of people from across the local community.

You will have experience of working with people who are socially excluded or with support needs. You will understand the importance of delivering equitable services and can empower our members to share their experience and contribute to continuous service adaptations and improvements. You will be creative and inclusive in establishing service-specific member involvement opportunities so members can influence our service locally. You will work across teams to ensure we deliver our service with people experiencing homelessness, instead of delivering a service to people experiencing homelessness. You will work with the central Crisis team to respond to member involvement opportunities, influencing policy and providing members with the opportunity to share their story with the wider public and media.
