In this home-based role, you will offer support to your clients by phone, video, letter, or email. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals. 
About you

- Ability to support people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives.
- Understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers would be an advantage but if you have had experience supporting with other diagnosis or support requirements this would be taken into consideration.
- Experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels.
- Able to network effectively and collaborating with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for people.
- Good IT skills, experience working with databases and virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom).

Solace provides safe refuge and move on accommodation to hundreds of women and children made homeless through domestic or sexual abuse. We run 22 refuges across London, including specialist refuge spaces for women with multiple needs. Of these, this role will involve working across two refuges in the borough of Camden, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The primary role of a Family Support Worker is to provide effective, efficient, and supportive service to children and their mothers residing in refuge with Solace Women’s Aid. The staff member will lead on the development of a child and family-centred approach to work in the refuge. In so doing, they will:

• Develop and deliver a range of trauma-informed services to children and young people (0-17 years) and their mothers within the refuge and when they are resettled into the community.
• Ensure ongoing development of age-appropriate children’s activities.
• Ensure the completion of comprehensive assessments of family needs and risk of families, ensuring an integrated approach with children and adult services (internal and external)
• Promote ‘Integrated Working’ through internal and external mechanisms in partnership with colleagues and community partnerships.
• Coordinate the delivery of activities through session staff, volunteers, and student placements.

About You

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable children, young people, and/or families, as well as knowledge of the effects that domestic abuse can have on young people.

You will be familiar with Assessment, Action Planning, and Evaluation for families, with experience in maintaining records. You will also have the ability to work on your own initiative, as well as in partnership with other agencies or professionals, to promote family/child wellbeing.

· Help reduce social isolation and loneliness among veterans. 

· We support ill or injured men and women to have a safe place to call home, a home that meets their specific needs.

· We fund youth services on stations to provide clubs and activities for the children of serving personnel who move every few years.

· We provide grants to help with the cost of living. But this is just a few of the ways we help.

We are seeking an individual to raise awareness of the Fund’s welfare offer amongst social welfare agencies across the West Midlands but also, crucially, to help address the issue of social isolation and feelings of loneliness experienced by some members of the RAF Family.

The post holder will be working with socially isolated individuals to identify meaningfully enriching opportunities to reduce feelings of loneliness, some of whom may have complex and challenging welfare needs, to develop actions plans and coordinate support to overcome any barriers preventing successful connection into these enriching opportunities, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals, have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of the issues affecting the Armed Forces community. Individuals with a social prescribing or working aged veteran support background are encouraged to apply.

This is a community-based position working from home but covering Hampshire, Wiltshire and West Sussex, delivering both remote and face to face support. The candidate must have their own vehicle to use to travel around these regions.  Occasional travel to London will be required.  The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

Team

Reporting to the Head of Sales (currently fulfilled by the account management team), collaborating with the Head of Community and Sales & Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator. Work closely with the membership and account management team, programme and project managers. Liaise and collaborate across the business with product, data services and communications. 

Core Responsibilities

• Work with the account management team to identify, target and secure long term government, corporate, and private income from various sources to deliver the team target of £2m

• Support the team in the management of multiple high-level and enterprise client relationships (six-figure contracts) 

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders

  • Attend client meetings and take live notes, record actions and send follow up emails summarising the meeting outcomes and next steps

  • Track the delivery of actions with the account management team

• Execute strategic account development plans that align with client goals and objectives, ensuring long-term success

• Ensure the delivery of ongoing multi-year renewals, retention and client satisfaction

  • Tracking contract deadlines and working with the team to ensure renewals are submitted in good time

Key Responsibilities

• Review, develop and prepare plans to deliver a profitable, engaging and effective annual programme of sports, challenge and community event opportunities
• Manage the annual available sports marketing budget and contribute to annual budget planning
• Create innovative new sports and challenge events, designed to attract and retain supporters and develop plans to launch these on time and to budget
