Finance Compliance and reporting

• Support Finance Manager with ensuring all financial records and information are compliant with Fundraising Regulator and ICO regulations
• Responsible for all PAYE and NI reporting requirements and payments of any related liabilities in a timely manner where applicable
• Co-ordinate and update cash flow reporting and forecasting
• Monitor bank position and ensuring adequate cash funds are maintained to enable the charity to function in an efficient and effective manner
• Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of information for annual audit and support external auditors as required

Our Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.

We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.

Mental Healthcare Support Workers (Bank) are key members of staff delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Service, taking part in a rota covering 7 days per week, ensuring the delivery of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the crisis cafe and helpline provision. Working closely with other staff (bank staff, volunteers), coordinators, team leaders and Crisis manager to ensure services are of the highest quality and support the continued growth and development of the service.

The Hertfordshire Missing Children’s Team operates on weekdays throughout Hertfordshire and is responsible for providing safeguarding, practical and emotional support, casework, advocacy and safety planning.
 
The dedicated SafeCall casework team is responsible for providing safeguarding, practical and emotional support, casework, advocacy, practical advice and emotional support nationally. The SafeCall team work collaboratively with the Helplines team who provide anonymous expert crisis support, safeguarding, safety planning, signposting and referrals out of hours capacity. These two teams ensure the full wraparound SafeCall service.
 
Key Accountabilities

• Deliver supportive interventions to families, parents, carers, children, and young people who have been missing or experiencing involvement with gangs & county lines
• To deliver national anonymous support via phone, email, SMS, and live chat, working collaboratively with the helpline team to offer a wraparound SafeCall service.
• Deliver Return Home Discussions / 121 Session support for the returned missing / vulnerable young people / children within expeditious timescales
• Speak up for children, young people, parents and carers who are at risk
• Provide feedback to the referring agency (with consent) on the general progress of the intervention and any identifiable needs which could be better met.
• Support children, young people, parents and carers through on-going support
• Develop support plans for children, young people and their families/carer to work towards mutually agreed goals.
• Support parents and carers to understand the service and the wider support available through the charity
• Be sensitive to the distress parents and carers may be experiencing following a child’s disappearance, which can sometimes be ongoing in relation to CCE.

Senior Policy and Engagement Officer – Taskforce for Lung Health

This role will support the Taskforce to deliver its ambitious programme of activity for 2026, working collaboratively with members and partners to deliver meaningful change for people with respiratory conditions.  You will lead and drive forward Taskforce policy and influencing work across priority areas, producing high-quality evidence-based outputs, working in collaboration with Taskforce members and partners, including patients, clinicians, other charities and corporate partners. You will develop the Taskforce’s engagement strategy, identifying opportunities to increase engagement and harness the potential of our collective endeavours to drive improvements in care for people with respiratory conditions, building strong working relationships with key stakeholders. This role can be either Office based or Remote based.

Senior Policy Officer – Asthma + Lung UK

Reporting to the Health Policy Manager, you will carry out proactive policy and influencing work across a range of health policy areas related to NHS services, treatment and care for lung conditions. You will work closely with other policy team members to influence change, and draft impactful policy positions and recommendations, using research, patient experience, clear analysis and strong arguments. You will work with a range of important external stakeholders, building strong relationships and influencing positive change. This role is Office based only.

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to plan and prioritise your workload efficiently. You will have experience of developing robust policy positions and campaigning for policy change. You will be proactive and able to manage your workload independently, able to communicate complex issues to different audiences, and work collaboratively with a range of teams and external stakeholders. You will be comfortable managing multiple deadlines and adapting to changes in the external policy environment.

We’re looking for someone to plan and organise our activities programme which offers Unpaid Carers in Lewisham the opportunity to have a break from their caring responsibilities in a social environment where they can meet other carers and focus on their wellbeing.

You’ll work closely with the service manager to plan and arrange a wide programme of activities for young and adult Unpaid Carers. This will involve researching activities, and liaising with providers, ensuring health and safety, insurance and other checks are in place, arranging resources and refreshments, completing risk assessments and booking venues.

You will actively promote activities to Unpaid Carers, manage bookings and respond to queries. The role is based in our Carers Hub, so you will interact with Unpaid Carers visiting the team or enquiring about the service. You will also prepare regular newsletters for the service and provide additional admin support to the team as needed.

Applicants should have experience in an admin or activities planning role and excellent customer service skills. You will require exceptional communication, organisational and written skills, and should be proactive and resourceful. You must be proficient in using Word and Excel, and experience of using databases would be an advantage.

The part-time hours (22.5) can be worked as 3 full days or shorter days across the week. Some flexibility is required for occasional evenings or Saturday working.
