Your Role

As Head of Harm Reduction and Engagement, you’ll lead our Drug & Alcohol Support Hub (DASH) service, detached outreach provision and youth justice support – while driving innovation in youth empowerment, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and new service models. You’ll be our subject expert in harm reduction, criminal justice, and engagement with vulnerable and marginalised young people.

You’ll play a key role as part of our Senior Management Team, and lead a passionate, experienced team delivering critical services to young people across Southampton and Hampshire. You will also lead on maintaining strong strategic partnerships, including with our substance use lead provider, Change Grow Live.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Leading and managing our DASH service, detached team, and young people’s link workers
• Overseeing delivery of effective, evidence-led services that meet contractual and community needs
• Driving our organisational response to DEI in service delivery
• Supporting innovation and emerging projects such as Alternative Provision
• Leading strategic partnerships with statutory, voluntary and community organisations
• Representing No Limits externally as a senior manager and subject expert
• Managing teams, budgets, quality assurance, safeguarding, and development of new services

Strategic and Operational Leadership

The Role

The Senior Evidence Officers sit within the Evidence Team and involve leading highly impactful evidence synthesis projects. About You

• Significant knowledge of high-quality impact evaluation methodology with a rounded understanding of evaluation design
• Capability to work successfully and independently in a multi-disciplinary team
• Skill and experience in designing and commissioning research
• Advanced knowledge and experience of systematic literature review and evidence synthesis

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 

This role will be prison based. Job Title: Housing Support Worker

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.

You will be forming a team that makes up the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children.

Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.

The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.

The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.

The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements

Housing Support Workers will work in partnership with both statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure that the properties are managed to a high standard and ensure a welcoming approach to all survivors and their children.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

We are recruiting for a Property Manager to join our growing Property team, we are looking for a committed and knowledgeable person to lead our property asset management. This is an opportunity to support women and children facing multiple barriers to safety and recovery, including survivors with insecure immigration status, experiences of homelessness or substance misuse. 

You will provide leadership in day-to-day service delivery, ensuring high standards of property management. You will oversee a portfolio of property for programme of works, lease and contract management and create a contractor supplier database.

Right now, one of our partners, Aquarius Action Projects, is looking for a Practitioner to join their Family Support service in Derby. Living with someone who has a drug or alcohol problem can be worrying and stressful and the service runs a young person’s programme called Choices for young people aged 5-18 years who are affected by a family members alcohol or drug use. The service provides young people with a safe place for them to talk about their concerns and help them to develop coping strategies to manage difficult situations.

The Role

As a Practitioner, you will deliver 1:1 and group interventions to young people in both community and school settings around a variety of topics. These will include confidence and self-esteem, hobbies, school (attending and enjoying), age appropriate drug & alcohol knowledge, how parental substance misuse can make young people feel, planning for their futures and positive peer and adult support.

Skills and Qualifications

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office.

 Reporting to: Head of Communications & Marketing (HCM)

We are inviting applications for an Events Manager to join Garden Court Chambers. This is a full time permanent role.

Purpose of the role

Garden Court Chambers hosts a range of events including roundtables, webinars, hybrid, and in-person panel discussions. We bring together legal professionals, policy specialists, NGOs, community groups, and activists for legal training, thought-leadership and networking.

At least three times a week, we host 40-50 people for in-person events, 15-20 for roundtables, and several hundred for webinars. We also host parties throughout the year for around 150+ guests.

In this role, you will plan deliver and host each event; support the Head of Communications and Marketing with event programming; and work with barrister colleagues who convene each event to agree all event specifications.

Working as part of the friendly and professional Communications and Marketing team, the events you produce will amplify the vital work our barristers undertake to fight injustice, defend human rights, and uphold the rule of law.

About you

• Committed to delivering consistently excellent customer service - great front of house and highly organised and methodical behind the scenes.
• Experienced in dealing with the day-to-day challenges of high-volume event planning, delivery, and hosting.

Core duties

• Event hosting duties (supported by Events Assistant): greet guests and welcome speakers; manage cloak rooms, event signage, and catering; set up and clear rooms; and trouble shoot and support the needs of guests and speakers.

• Work pro-actively with members of Chambers (barristers) to ensure that requirements for their events are clearly recorded, and that events are delivered to specification.
• Support the Communications and Marketing Manager with digital communications to promote events.
• Support the Head of Communications and Marketing with event budgeting.
• Create and manage invitation lists using CRM software and support the production and delivery of well-targeted and high-quality email marketing.
• Assist with other administrative tasks for the marketing team.
• Line manage junior members of the team, as required.
• Feed into reports to measure the reach and impact of Garden Court marketing activities.

Skills and experience

• Proven experience in planning, delivering, and hosting in person, hybrid, and online events (ideally all three).
• Good working knowledge of Zoom (or similar), PowerPoint, Excel (all essential), and Campaign Monitor / MailChimp (desirable).
• Experience of working with CRM systems and email marketing tools (desirable)
• Experience of working in fast-paced environments and managing competing priorities.
• Experience of collaborating with and hosting high-value clients and senior professionals.
• Knowledge of the law is not essential, but a commitment to Garden Court’s values is a must.

• Holidays: 25 days per annum pro rata (excluding bank holidays but including three days between Christmas and New Year)  with additional day leave after every two years of employment, up to 30 days.
