The Individual Giving Officer will work with the Individual and Legacy Manager to provide an exceptional level of stewardship to donors.

The role will work to increase income from a diverse range of products including our online shop, funeral collections, stewardship journeys and individual gifts. About The Role
We are recruiting for a Senior Participant Experience Manager to join on a part-time basis, working 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE) as part of a job share. This is a fixed-term contract until the end of October 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our successful Events team, co-leading our 7-person Participant Experience team. Working closely with the other Senior Participant Experience Manager, you’ll be jointly responsible for identifying and delivering strategic projects and multi-channel supporter journeys to improve the supporter experience for all events participants, resulting in maximised income, retention and lifetime value.

You and your team will work across the Events team, adding value to our participants’ experience across our full range of products, from sign up to thanking and beyond. You’ll lead the team to drive cross product testing, learning and innovation. You will also maximise the impact of our communications across multiple channels, such as telephone, email, post, SMS, whilst pushing efficiencies by streamlining processes and ways of working across teams.

Working as part of the Events Management team you will contribute to the strategy and direction of the wider Events team.

About you
We’re looking for a strategic thinker who has a strong background in stewardship and customer experience with an understanding of the charity sector.

You will able to manage and inspire the team throughout busy and high-pressured events seasons. You’ll have experience of managing people to deliver the best results for the organisation whilst effectively developing team members within their roles. As a job share, strong collaboration and relationship building skills will be vital in this role.

Crucially, you will have a proven track record in developing and managing multichannel supporter journeys from planning to analysis. You will have experience of managing complex projects and will be confident in negotiating with and managing internal and external stakeholders, managing these vital relationships to ensure best practice and the best results for Alzheimer’s Society.

You will be data-savvy, with clear understanding of fundraising and data protection laws and have extensive experience streamlining and improving processes.

What you’ll focus on:

- Co-leading the Participant Experience team, creating a culture of high performance, collaboration and celebration.
- Managing the supporter journey programme from initial contact through to event day and beyond.
- Working across internal teams and with external partners to deliver exceptional supporter experiences for all our event participants.

Girls Not Brides: The Global Partnership to End Child Marriage is seeking a Head of Finance to join its team based in London, UK. The successful individual will lead on strategic financial planning and financial day to day management at Girls Not Brides to advance our business model, financial sustainability and growth. The role ensures effective financial functions across the organisation, manages compliance with UK and overseas regulatory requirements, and works closely and hands on with other teams to oversee the preparation of proposals and budgets for prospective grants.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a passionate, talented senior finance professional with at least 5 years post qualified experience. You will have experience working in a similar senior-level finance role in the not-for-profit sector, international/intergovernmental organisation or social enterprise. You will have qualified and hold membership in a recognised professional accountancy body.  Your qualification and experience will ensure you hold an advanced understanding of the principles underpinning financial management and planning, with significant all-round accounting, financial management, full grants cycle management, compliance, risk and financial sustainability experience.  You will be experienced in year-end reporting and proficient in engaging with statutory and other auditors.  Ideally you will bring experience gained in a similar international charity, working in a multi-currency environment.

The successful candidate must already have the right to work in the UK at the time of applying and for the duration of the contract.

Fluency in English is essential for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Leadership

· Lead on strategic financial planning and financial management at Girls Not Brides to advance the organisation’s business model, financial sustainability, and growth through long-range financial projection and planning, maximisation of income, and strong financial reporting.

· Ensure that financial planning feeds into the organisation’s work planning process and supports the strategic objectives of the organisation.

· Support all Directors/Heads of teams to ensure ownership of financial planning, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, cost management, priorities and activities, as best serves the mission of the organisation.

· Lead on financial risk management including the implementation of appropriate risk management strategies such as financial controls, fraud prevention and processes to ensure value for money, and conduct regular reviews of Girls Not Brides’ financial policies and processes.

· Provide critical financial information, analysis, advice and support on financial issues and emerging opportunities.

· Assume responsibility for managing, planning and monitoring the Finance department’s budget. 

· Provides leadership with regards to vision, purpose, and functions for the long-term development of the Finance Team.

Financial Management and Accounting

· Develop and maintain effective financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, production of quarterly management accounts, preparation of annual statutory accounts, and preparation of financial reports to Girls Not Brides’ funders, potential funders and the Board of Trustees.

· Manages timely, accurate and impactful quarterly management accounts to enable business planning and monitoring of organisational performance.

· Monitor financial performance, oversee reporting and cash flow management functions and systems.

· Develop and oversee robust and effective financial systems and processes for Girls Not Brides’ staff members based internationally.

· Ensure the smooth running of all accounting, financial transactions and evidence record keeping processes.

· Lead on procurement systems and implementation, identifying efficiencies and value for money.

· Manage and oversee internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance across the organisation.

· Assume ownership of the organisation’s accounting system, including identifying and implementing measures to ensure strong efficiency.

· Ensure and manage an effective accounts payable function.

· Manage effective payroll, pensions and related employee benefit processes. 

· Manage the organisation’s foreign currency exchange policy and cash investment policy, ensuring compliance with donor terms.

Audit and Tax Compliance

· Manage compliance with UK and overseas legal, statutory accounting and regulatory requirements, including signing off on all statutory filings as required by the Charity Commission, Companies House, HMRC and the Pension Regulator.

· Manage the production of the annual report and financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, SORP and accounting standards.

· Manage the external audit process and implementation of the audit findings.

· Oversee the project audits required by donors.

Grant Accounting and Compliance

· Work with the Development & Outreach Team, the Senior Finance & Grants Officer and the Senior Coordinator for Grants to oversee preparation of proposals and budgets for prospective grants.

· Supervise the preparation of all financial grant reporting, ensuring that the Development & Outreach team receive accurate and timely information for effective grant and donor management and compliance.

· Maximise cost-recovery from grants through strong financial planning and cost analysis processes, to ensure financial viability of projects and grant agreements.

· Provide support to, and build capacity of, other teams to support grant compliance as necessary. 

· Review, and as needed negotiate, the legal and financial provisions of grant agreements.

· Oversee and ensure all received grants are promptly recorded and acknowledged, as well as paid out and reported on in accordance with donor requirements.

· Achieve timely, effective and clean external grant audits.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential experience

· ACA/ACCA/CCAB/CIMA qualified. 

· Significant professional post-qualified experience in a similar senior-level finance role in the not-for-profit sector, international/intergovernmental organisation or social enterprise

· Degree-level qualification in a relevant area such as accounting, finance or business administration, or equivalent professional experience.

· Up-to-date knowledge of relevant UK charity statutory requirements e.g. SORP, Charity Accounting, IFRS/IAS.

· Advanced understanding of the principles underpinning financial and grant management and planning and of demonstrating impact and value for money.

· Significant all-round accounting, financial management, full grants cycle management, compliance, risk and financial sustainability experience, likely gained in an international charity, e.g. working in a multi-currency environment.

· Proven experience of presenting and working with Boards and Finance Committees.

· Proven experience with contracts and grants management, including cost recovery models and revenue management, as well as donor compliance and due diligence. 

· Demonstrated experience in strategic business planning and review.

· Demonstrated direct experience of financial reporting to a Board of Trustees and major donors.

· Experience of using multi-currency accounting systems, such as Sun Systems, SAP Concur, QuickBooks, Sage and other relevant systems.

· Good knowledge of using complex excel functions such as macros, vlookup, pivot, sumifs, data analysis.

As the designer you will work as part of the team to support the production of 22 localised but visually consistent reports, you will be responsible for editing infographics, text and images. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Deliver creative digital and print design projects from template to final output with support from the Senior Designer. This is likely to include multiple Walking and Cycling Index reports and social media assets.
• Independently (with training provided for specific tasks) use Adobe Creative Cloud applications, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Lightroom to create and edit materials 
• Work with a large amount of complex data to produce accurate, clear and engaging infographics.
• Support and comply with the Charity’s guidance on branding, tone of voice and key messages, positively contributing towards raising Sustrans’ profile.
• Create accessible print and digital materials and provide insight to ensure marketing materials are accessible.

Your role

As Recognition Coordinator, you will assist on all areas of recognition for our volunteers, supporters and staff. You'll also be our first point of contact for the organisation concerning RNLI awards and while the role is based at our Support Centre in Poole, it will involve dealing with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation. In this role you will also:

• Support the process from nominations of awards through to dispatch.
• Accurately maintain data in our systems and provide reports on long service.
• Prepare certificates and awards on behalf of Trustees, the Executive Team, and Senior Leadership Team.
• Provide stock control to ensure the team has appropriate materials/awards for packing and posting awards.
• Support the Recognition Adviser with the organisation of annual events.

About you

To be our next Recognition Coordinator you will need:

• The ability to work well with a wide variety of stakeholders cross the organisation.
• Experience of coordination, administration and have high attention to detail. 
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an inclusive approach.

Your role

To lead on trust fundraising at SeeAbility and to grow and diversify trust and foundation income in line with SeeAbility’s aspirations.

Your responsibilities

• Lead on the development and delivery of a trusts strategy, overseeing the whole trusts portfolio, to generate agreed annual targets for SeeAbility.
• Be the charity’s expert in trust fundraising, adopting a data-driven approach, keeping abreast of sector developments and making the business case for change where appropriate.
• Develop and enhance relationships with existing trusts, delivering first-class stewardship, making appropriate and timely applications to secure agreed annual budget and ensuring that all reporting is completed in line with guidelines.
• Focus on new business and lead on creative, inspiring and professional proposals to trust and statutory funders that operate within the charity’s values and ethical policy.
• Manage, support and mentor the Trusts Fundraiser to secure funds from trusts and statutory sources of income. To lead any further expansion of the trust team in the future if the opportunity arises.
• Implement the systems, tools and procedures to proactively identify new funders that align with SeeAbility’s strategy and ethical policy.
• Work across the organisation to generate new and innovative ways to package up SeeAbility’s work to secure funding.
• To be responsible for setting, monitoring and reporting on income and expenditure budgets and key performance indicators
• To be responsible for developing and delivering the annual work plan for trusts fundraising
• Engage staff across the organisation in trust fundraising to support proposal development, reporting and stewardship and to grow the fundraising culture.
• Ensure all trust records are kept up-do-date on the database.
• Work closely with fundraising colleagues to cultivate a supportive and collaborative fundraising team.
