Charity People are delighted to be partnering with an inspiring education focused charity to recruit an experienced Digital Communications Manager.

Voice 21 is the UK's leading oracy education charity, on a mission to create a fairer society where every young person can develop the speaking and listening skills they need to thrive. They believe every voice should be valued and heard, regardless of background. Working with schools across the country, Voice 21 champions oracy as a powerful driver of learning, confidence and social mobility, empowering children and young people to find their voice, share their ideas and engage confidently with the world around them.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering digital communications for a growing and influential organisation. As part of a warm, ambitious, and purpose-driven communications team of three, and working across an organisation of around 70 colleagues, you will help bring Voice 21's mission to life through impactful digital storytelling, engaging campaigns and audience-focused communications.

You will lead a variety of digital communications projects, while supporting colleagues across the organisation to embed communications thinking into their work and maximise the impact of their activities.

A key focus of the role will be supporting Voice 21 through an exciting website relaunch and brand refresh. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, enhance website content and user journeys, and help ensure the refreshed brand powerfully communicates the organisation's mission, values, and impact. Alongside this, you will take the lead on digital content creation, campaign delivery, and performance monitoring, using data and insight to continually optimise results and engagement.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves turning ideas into action. The successful candidate will be proactive, creative, and highly organised, with the confidence to take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality communications that inspire, engage and drive organisational objectives. You will be a strong and adaptable writer, capable of creating compelling content for a range of audiences and channels.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver digital communications projects across the organisation
  • Manage and coordinate the upcoming website relaunch
  • Work with stakeholders to gather, develop, and enhance website content
  • Support the delivery of a brand refresh, ensuring Voice 21's mission and impact are communicated clearly and consistently
  • Create engaging and compelling digital content across multiple platforms and channels
  • Monitor, analyse and report on digital performance using Google Analytics
  • Manage and optimise digital campaigns, including Google Ads
  • Advise and support internal and external colleagues in embedding communications thinking into projects and activities
  • Ensure content is audience-focused, engaging and aligned with organisational objectives
  • Establish clear workflows in line with the brand refresh that will continue in to the future

You will bring:

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience delivering successful digital communications in a busy and fast-paced environment
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to take ownership and drive projects forward
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative and supportive working style
  • Confidence using data and insight to evaluate performance and inform decision-making
  • Experience improving digital content, user journeys, and audience engagement

Essential skills required:

  • Google Analytics
  • WordPress
  • Google Ads
  • Canva
  • Content creation and digital storytelling
  • Website management and development projects

The team are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative team player who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and making things happen.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected charity at an exciting point in its journey, helping to shape its digital presence, strengthen its brand and ultimately make a lasting difference to the lives of young people across the UK.

Charity People actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion. We match charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for the charities we work with.
