About the Team

They work individually as well as collaboratively, to ambitiously reach their target and have fun whilst doing it!

Person Specification 

• A practising Christian who is passionate about personally representing the Christian values of Resurgo and committed to Resurgo’s mission to inspire and equip organisations to bring about ambitious and sustainable social change.
• Excellent relationship building and proposal writing skills. Experience in Trust fundraising or an equivalent field is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent people skills, able to relate well to colleagues of all seniority levels as well as external stakeholders.
• Well organised and efficient; calm under pressure; able to juggle competing deadlines and priorities, splitting time across multiple projects.
• Confident with numbers and interpreting project budgets. Some knowledge of Trust fundraising is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Provide tailored, high-quality stewardship to a range of large and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations to further grow this income stream.
• Prioritise research to constantly develop future pipeline.
• Work with Head of Philanthropy and other senior stakeholders in engaging potential funders and managing strategic Trusts partners.

Write applications and reports

• Develop compelling funding applications for Trusts and occasionally statutory funders, articulating Resurgo's vision and strategy to persuasively engage new donors with a focus on raising five and six-figure grants.
• Stay ahead of sector trends, media, and political context to market Resurgo's interventions in a compelling way.
• Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
• Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner. 

Data Management and Monitoring

• Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details in a timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
• Manage the Trusts & Foundations pipeline and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.

Line Management

• Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

Each year, around 25,000 young people take part in Outward Bound programmes across the UK, delivered through partnerships with schools, youth groups, and employers. Around 80% of school participants receive charitable bursary funding, ensuring that financial barriers never prevent young people from accessing these life-changing experiences. The Outward Bound Trust is now delivering its 2030 Strategy, which sets out an ambitious plan to grow reach, strengthen partnerships, and invest in its six heritage outdoor centres. 

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll directly manage four experienced team heads and oversee a high-performing team of 18 who generate bursary, unrestricted, and capital income. The role sits on the Senior Management Team, working closely with colleagues across the charity to connect fundraising with programme delivery, marketing, and business development, ensuring shared priorities and greater collective impact. You’ll also play a key role in the Fundraising and Marcomms Steering Group, ensuring effective working between fundraising and external engagement.

About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Legacy professional with a good understanding of charity legacy administration, to assist Macmillan in receiving its rightful entitlements from gifts in supporters' wills in a timely manner, by collaborating with executors and other charities to maximize the value of each gift whilst also aiming to enhance the charity's reputation.

The postholder will manage pecuniary and lower-risk residuary gifts, ensuring executors, family, and friends have a positive experience with Macmillan as a beneficiary. Responsibilities include accurately recording data, creating valuations per the Charity Commission’s SORP 2019 and Macmillan’s Legacy Income Recognition Policy, and assessing any conditions on gift usage. Communication with executors and co-beneficiaries will occur via letters, emails, and phone calls. Additionally, you will gather stories to promote legacy giving and adhere to all data protection laws.

The purpose of the post is to:

· Develop and deliver HI UK’s strategy for high-net-worth individuals.

· Lead on the new Capital Campaign, 2026-2030, for HI UK.

· Work closely with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and family foundations to develop high-value philanthropic partnerships and ensure sustained, long-term support.

· Secure five- and six-figure major gifts from a diverse and sustainable base of major donors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships

You will have responsibility for developing a new strategy for high-net-worth individual support and you will lead the delivery of this strategy to secure high-value philanthropic partnerships under the responsibility of the Global Specialist in Major Giving.

Capital Campaign

Our new Capital Campaign will be an invaluable tool for you in developing funding from high-net-worth individuals in the UK. You will lead on its launch and recruit a Campaign Committee, stewarding them to deliver results.

Relationship Management

You will lead on the development and stewardship of long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and family foundations.

Income Growth

You will drive the growth of an existing pipeline of high-net-worth individuals and develop this pipeline with new supporters from our individual giving stream and philanthropists who are new to HI, to secure significant gifts.

Collaboration

You will work closely with HI's Global Specialist in Major Giving, HI UK Trustees, our Federal Major Giving team, and international colleagues, to develop compelling proposals and provide timely impact reporting.

Stewardship

You will ensure exceptional donor stewardship and provide a high-quality experience for supporters at every stage of engagement.

Cultivation events

Key Responsibilities – Supporting ADHD/ Autistic Adults

Providing individualised task-based support

· Provide one-to-one ad hoc, tailored support for pre-and post-diagnosis (with the support to be co-produced by the service user). This support may include, but is not limited to:

· Practical support with communication or executive functioning tasks and activities such as making calls, form filling, applying for benefits, and planning their week.

· Working within a “help you to do it” model, encouraging skill building and self-advocacy.

· Support with applications for further education and employment

· Maintain and update our public-facing ADHD Resource Board, and foster relationships with other support organisations to strengthen our signposting and referral pathways.

Facilitate Support Groups

· Facilitate twice-monthly ADHD Groups.

· Facilitate Parent and Carers Support group.

· Facilitate monthly pre-diagnosis support group.

· Facilitate Coffee Connect social group for ADHD and autistic adults.

· Facilitate quarterly Professional Connect Forum.

· When agreed in advance with manager provide cover for other colleagues’ projects.

Facilitate Courses and Workshops

· Deliver a 6-week Understanding my ADHD Course for newly diagnosed ADHD adults.

Front of house support and referrals process

The Specialist Adult ADHD/Autism Advisor (SAAA) will be expected to answer both written and telephone enquiries from members of the public about CAAS services, with a warm and welcoming style, so clients feel comfortable to attend our services.

SAAA will be expected to welcome visitors to the centre and provide information about CAAS and The SAAA will provide front-of-house support, welcoming visitors, answering queries, and managing the referrals process, including CRM updates, triage, and liaising with referrers.

CAAS offers a wide range of adult services, so SAAA will be expected to proactively support clients in accessing the appropriate services and provide consistent follow-up and communication. 

Other Responsibilities  - Wider support

The SAAA will be expected to contribute to the support and empowerment of ADHD and autistic adults and their families in a range of other ways, such as:

· Build and maintain strong relationships with local statutory and voluntary services, particularly within health, social care, and social prescribing teams.

· Represent CAAS by attending relevant meetings to ensure active links with local authority and voluntary sector partners.

· Stay informed about national and local developments related to ADHD/autistic adults, identifying opportunities to raise awareness and influence the development of appropriate services and support.

· Using inclusive, evidence-based language and approaches

· Tailoring content to meet the needs of different audiences

· Supporting outreach and promotion of CAAS’s training offer related to ADHD and autism in adults
