Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is a painful, lifelong inflammatory condition affecting around 1 in  people. Despite this, awareness remains low and diagnosis is often delayed.

ASIF brings together 60 patient organisations across 48 countries to raise awareness, strengthen patient voices and improve understanding of axSpA globally. We are a small, fully remote team who care deeply about the work we do and about working supportively and collaboratively with one another.

We are now looking for an organised, proactive and thoughtful Project Co-ordinator/ Operations Assistant to help us deliver a major international online research study, while also supporting our wider activities.

This is an opportunity to be part of something meaningful - research that will help shape advocacy, awareness and understanding for people living with inflammatory arthritis around the world.

The Role

Your time will be split approximately:

• 70–80% supporting an ambitious international research project·
• 20–30% supporting ASIF’s wider operations

You will work closely with our Project Manager, international member organisations and scientific partners to support all stages of the study, from set-up and ethics submissions through to recruitment, reporting and sharing findings globally.

Alongside this, you’ll help with events, communications and general organisational support, because in a small team, we all contribute where needed.

The Role

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. THE CHARITY

Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle.

James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.   

James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.  We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 4,300 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.

In early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. Our new centre in Birmingham will be there to support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Communications and Content Executive to join our Communications team. This is a new role, reporting into the Senior Communications Manager. We are looking for a creative and proactive individual with experience in developing high quality social media content to take over the day to day running of our social media platforms. You will be creating content, maintain a content calendar, monitoring trends and replying to messages and comments from our active community, as well as analysing our data.

The role will also be involved in developing other communications content as needed. This will include writing articles and the newsletter, designing leaflets and flyers, assisting with creating and uploading content to the website, as well as gathering information to support our advocacy work. Good writing skills and a familiarity with some design skills, as well as ability to create videos are a must.

As Executive Director, Investments, you will lead our entire investment portfolio, setting direction and overseeing the design, delivery and evaluation of funding programmes that increase participation in sport and active recreation. Your leadership will ensure our investments are inclusive, targeted and deliver maximum impact. 

As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will also help shape Sport England’s culture, promoting cross functional collaboration and modelling inclusive, accountable, high performing leadership. 

We are looking for an experienced senior leader from a complex organisation, with a strong track record in strategic planning, resource management, and delivering largescale programmes or investments. You will be confident operating at board level, adept at leading through change, and skilled at building trusted partnerships across sector.

Community Fundraising & Engagement Manager

Salary: £40,000 per annum
Location: North London (hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Are you a people-centred Community Fundraiser who thrives on building meaningful relationships in local communities?

We’re working with a well-established UK charity seeking a Community Fundraising Manager to grow income and deepen connections across two key regions. This is a hands-on, outward-facing role for someone who enjoys inspiring supporters, working collaboratively, and turning community enthusiasm into long-term impact.

The role

This role brings together community fundraising, supporter engagement and regional relationship management. As a Community Fundraising Manager you'll work closely with individuals, volunteer fundraisers, community groups and local businesses, helping them feel confident, valued and motivated to support the charity’s work.

While the Community Fundraising Manager will be aligned to North London as a primary base, the focus is very much on community presence, partnership building and stewardship, rather than being office-bound.

Key elements of the role include:

• Developing and growing a portfolio of community and local corporate supporters
• Supporting and motivating volunteer fundraisers, providing excellent stewardship throughout their journey
• Identifying new opportunities within local communities, networks and organisations
• Delivering and supporting a programme of community-led fundraising activity and events
• Building long-term relationships that encourage repeat support and advocacy
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to share insight, ideas and best practice

About you

This role would suit someone who is confident, empathetic and highly organised, with a genuine belief in the power of community.

You’ll likely bring:

• Experience in community, regional or relationship-based fundraising
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
• A proactive and creative approach to generating and developing fundraising opportunities
• Confidence managing multiple relationships and priorities at once
• Experience using a CRM or fundraising database
• A flexible approach, with occasional out-of-hours or event work
