RISE is now seeking a full-time Fundraising Manager to help deliver its fundraising strategy. RISE has a mixed funding model and receives funding from the private sector, philanthropic and corporate foundations, bilateral agencies, and potentially, multilateral institutions. This role will play a pivotal role in executing the fundraising strategy, focusing on proposal development, donor engagement, and day-to-day delivery of fundraising activities.

We are looking for a hands-on, results-driven team member who can turn ideas into actionable proposals, manage multiple workstreams, and follow through to completion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of a highly matrixed team, effective collaboration across other team functions and particularly with in-country teams and program managers will be critical to success. The Fundraising Manager will report to the Associate Director, Partnerships.

The role includes the following specific responsibilities. These may evolve as priorities are established:

Proposal and Concept Development

• Translate RISE’s strategy into compelling and fundable project proposals and concept notes.
• Lead the day-to-day coordination of proposal development, including drafting project narratives, developing logical frameworks or theories of change, and ensuring alignment with donor requirements.
• Lead or coordinate the preparation of proposal budgets in collaboration with finance colleagues.
• Develop and maintain high-quality fundraising and communication materials.
• Work with the wider RISE team to maintain an active and healthy grant pipeline.

Donor Engagement

• Support the expansion of RISE’s donor base by identifying and pursuing new prospects, particularly among philanthropic foundations, corporate foundations, and bilateral donors.
• Maintain regular communication with current and potential donors, ensuring they are informed and engaged in RISE’s work.
• Support donor outreach and pitch preparation, working closely with RISE leadership and subject matter experts.
• Keep the team informed with up-to-date donor intelligence and funding opportunities.

Fundraising Planning and Coordination

• Implement and operationalize the fundraising and partnership strategy, ensuring effective follow-through on agreed priorities and activities through clear annual workplans developed in collaboration with the Associate Director, Partnerships.
• Contribute insights and lessons learned from day-to-day implementation to inform periodic strategy reviews and planning discussions.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring systems, tools, and processes for fundraising are efficient and up to date.

EXPERIENCE

• 8–10 years of relevant professional experience, including successful track record in developing and winning grants.
• Proven ability to translate strategic direction into actionable plans and high-quality deliverables.
• Strong writing skills, with experience developing concepts, proposals, and budgets for complex, multi-year projects.
• Good understanding of gender equality, women’s economic empowerment and the private sector’s role in achieving the SDGs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of international donor trends and existing networks across foundations, corporate donors, and governments.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and cultures.
• Fluent in English (other languages an asset).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.

You will join an innovative early intervention service delivered in partnership with the London Borough of Ealing. Working within the Ealing SAFE Evolve team, you will provide time-limited, evidence-based interventions to children and young people with moderate mental health needs, using approaches such as CBT, trauma-informed and mentalization models. You will deliver individual and group work with young people and parents/carers, joint work with professionals, and have supervisory responsibilities for Wellbeing Practitioners. You will also contribute to consultations and training for multi-agency professionals, supporting a collaborative approach to mental health in schools and the community. What you’ll bring

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled mental health professional with a strong foundation in therapeutic interventions and a commitment to supporting children, young people, and families within community-based or school settings.

Essential skills and experience:

• Recognised qualification and experience in a core profession (e.g., Clinical/Counselling Psychology, Family Therapy) and therapeutic work with children and adolescents.
• Experience in assessing and delivering interventions for children and young people in community or school settings, including those with SEND or care experience.
• Knowledge and application of trauma-informed and neurodiversity-informed approaches, alongside safeguarding and risk management expertise.
• Ability to provide consultation, training, and supervision to Wellbeing Practitioners and other professionals within multi-agency settings.

Key details

Hours: Part-time (28 hours per week): 4 days per week, including Wednesdays. Usual working hours are 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday. Flexible working is possible

Salary: £46,800 per annum FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of the charity’s mass participation fundraising programme by coordinating day-to-day activities and ensuring an exceptional experience for our supporters. Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) is a specialist national charity supporting families bereaved by domestic homicide and working to improve responses to domestic abuse, homicide and suicide prevention. We provide expert advocacy, training, and policy development to influence systemic change and ensure that lessons are learned after domestic abuse related deaths.

The Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Training and Events Officer to support our growing training and development programmes and help raise the profile of AAFDA’s work across the UK. You will lead and manage our CYP counselling, play therapy, and trauma-informed services, ensuring high-quality clinical delivery and strategic development. This role includes strategic development of CYP, clinical leadership of all delivery, supervision oversight, safeguarding responsibility, service improvement, and management of CYP budgets and reporting.
 

About You

You will bring:

• A counselling/psychotherapy qualification (accredited or equivalent experience).
• Significant post-qualification experience, including 600+ supervised hours.
• At least 3 years’ clinical work with children and young people affected by sexual violence.

• In-depth safeguarding knowledge and experience working within the violence against women and girls sector.

BACKGROUND

Ashiana is a ‘by and for’ women led BME VAWG service with 30 years’ experience in delivering a holistic range of specialist services to South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern women affected by Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG).

OUR SERVICES

Ashiana runs three refuges with a total of 29 bedspaces; specifically for women aged 16-35 fleeing forced marriage. This multi award winning project is the only service of its kind in the UK and is highly innovative in terms of addressing an area of significant need not met in other refuge provision. Within these refuges we designate a number of bedspaces for women with no recourse to public funds. We offer an advice and support service to women and girls who are experiencing VAWG, enabling them to make informed decisions and exit violent relationships. We provide a legal service supporting women with no recourse to public funds to help resolve their immigration status.

Counselling is offered for women and girls affected by VAWG. The counselling service works from an integrative stance, with the focus of providing a holistic service whereby we also work alongside other services and provide specialist domestic violence group work. The emphasis of therapeutic work with our clients is from a trauma informed model.

We also deliver an education programme for young people in secondary schools in East London aimed at preventing domestic violence and enabling young people experiencing domestic violence to access appropriate services. The prevention service includes delivering a whole school approach in schools to young people as well as group work to women and girls across North East London boroughs as well as community engagement activities and delivery. We deliver a range of awareness raising workshops for young people in the community and training on domestic violence for professionals in the voluntary and statutory sector.

The Fundraising Administrator is a key support role within Muslim Charity’s Community Engagement and Fundraising Team.
