About the role

As the Face-to-Face Acquisition Manager, you will manage Save the Children UK's F2F fundraising programme, supporting our agency partners to achieve outstanding results. Working with the Head of Direct Engagement and accountable for the day-to-day task management of two executives you will build strong relationships and drive ambitious results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment bringing both fundraising and operational expertise to the role.

You will provide a positive and safe working environment for the fundraisers that represent us, ensuring agreed standards and behaviours are met and that agencies are inspired to work on behalf Save the Children UK.

You will have a genuine passion for F2F fundraising and the drive and determination to make a difference to the sector as a part of the wider global F2F team.

In this role, you will:

• Drive the success of the face-to-face agency programmes, ensuring channels are performing against agreed KPIs and target.
• Manage a team to deliver results.
• Manage the relationship with agencies, and third-party suppliers to deliver fundraising Programmes to budget.
• Accountability for the best practice face-to-face compliance and safeguarding programme conducting personal site visits and mystery shops, ensuring excellent standards & transparency across all channels.
• Drive the development and delivery of creative, engaging fundraising materials across channels, optimising delivery and maximise performance and motivation.
• Adapt campaign delivery, analysing operational and fundraising effectiveness through a data-led test and learn approach.
• Adhere to Institute of Fundraising's Code of Practice and relevant laws and keep up-to-date with developments within the sector and share learnings.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to strengthen operational systems and mechanisms to support individual fundraising.

About you and the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Fundraising Officer to join our Partnerships and Engagement team. This is a brilliant opportunity to support a broad portfolio across income streams including Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Partnerships, and Major Donors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead prospect research to build a strong pipeline of trusts, corporates and major donors which align with our mission. This includes network mapping to identify existing connections and relationships.

• Act as the CRM champion for fundraising, ensuring all donor interactions and details are accurately recorded and updated.

What success looks like

Within the first 12 to 18 months, success in this role is likely to include a comprehensive knowledge of our existing fundraising model and key funders, taking the lead in prospect research, leading on account management of restaurant partners, small to medium scale fundraising campaigns, and supporting with event organisation. You will also have gained a comprehensive knowledge of the organisational strategy and the wider school food system.

Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Undertake and oversee the preparation of year end ‘Receipts & Payments’ accounts for our client charities with income up to £500k.

Our crucial work

The Foundation is a hidden gem of innovation, with a pioneering ‘Intentional Peer Support’ approach at its heart, which trains former and current service users to provide support to individuals facing similar mental health challenges to those they have faced themselves. The first contact from local people experiencing severe anxiety or distress often comes through telephone calls or through our Crisis Café, which operates every evening in person from 6.30pm to 11.00 pm, 365 days a year, and on the phone or on- line at other times. This is where people can receive support and learn about the range of support options the Foundation provides.

Our counselling service can help local people tackle a wide range of issues affecting their mental health.

Our Belmont Connect service is a place to socialise, meet new people and receive support in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You can also join one of our classes or drop-in sessions.
