Driven and engaging Finance Director required for a commercially focused Not for Profit who uphold industry standards for their sector and members on a 12 month FTC basis.

You will be a strategic thinker, with strong financial acumen and leadership skills who will oversee the financial operations of the company and its trading subsidiaries. This will including financial planning, financial budgeting and forecasting, cost management and financial analysis as well as playing a key role in developing and implementing financial strategies to drive growth and profitability across the group including identifying and analysing new business opportunities as the organisation looks to scale up.
The FD will also lead the roll out the new finance system so experience of a system implementation is essential.
Ideally successful candidates will have relevant experience of being in a No1 finance role from a membership background and/or private sector, SME's being particularly beneficial. You will also need to be a formally qualified accountant.
Bring your charismatic drive and passion for environmental issues to lead CPRE London towards its vision and manage its strategic direction and delivery. This is a rare opportunity to lead an organisation at the cutting edge of policy regarding green spaces and the environment, housing and planning. You will manage a small but motivated team of staff and dedicated volunteers. We are looking for candidates with the confidence to pitch for new funding, coupled with achievements in lobbying and liaison work across the environmental space.

Skills in leadership, communication, negotiation, and project management are needed to run our operations. In addition to leading CPRE London you will run our London-based urban projects with allies in the environmental sector. You will also work closely with a supportive board of trustees.
Currently at the exciting stage of developing the London Tree Ring project, additionally we are involved in many more initiatives such as Healthy Streets Scorecard and GoParks London.

About you
Enthusiastic with good eye for detail and organisational skills, determination and stamina; a flexible, team player with personal integrity and confidence, and the ability to build relationships with civil servants, politicians, regulators and wider stakeholders.
You will be comfortable becoming a spokesperson and leader for the sector, while being comfortable with policy development and regulations.
Qualifications and knowledge areas
Likely to be educated to postgraduate level in a relevant area, or with equivalent experience, with knowledge of renewable energy and clean technologies, energy demand, green finance or related areas.
Candidates are likely to have a number of years’ experience in the sector and already be seen as a respected voice or participant in the sector, or a related field.
