The Charity Spark is looking to appoint a Strategic Fundraising Consultant to expand our fundraising support for clients across the UK. This pivotal role will be a strategic fundraising lead, working with a diverse portfolio of clients to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies. You will advise on a range of income generation methods, including trust and foundation grants, legacy giving, major donor philanthropy, and corporate partnerships.

A key part of your role will be to provide strategic development, helping clients diversify their income streams and build sustainable fundraising programmes. Important Details. What you’ll get:

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 FTE

Hours: Up to 3 days per week. We keep core office hours of 8:30am-6pm however this role does not require the holder to work solely within these hours. We will work with you to find a working pattern which suits your needs and lifestyle as well as the needs of our business and clients.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Fundraising

1. • Develop and Lead Fundraising Strategies: Create bespoke, multi-stream fundraising strategies for a range of clients. This includes capital appeals and other large-scale projects, helping clients raise significant funds for transformative goals.
   • Income Diversification: Advise clients on how to diversify their fundraising portfolio, reducing reliance on any single income source and building resilience.
   • Trust and Foundation Fundraising: While the role is broader, you will still oversee and deliver trust fundraising work, including researching funders, writing bids and proposals, and supporting clients to steward donors effectively. You will also mentor and upskill clients and their teams on best practices.
   • Support the Director with developing strategic resources for fundraising including digital courses, blogs and downloadable resources for charities.
   • Client Management and Support: Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, providing expert advice, hands-on support, and strategic guidance throughout their fundraising journey.

2. Business Development

· Deal with client enquiries in an efficient and timely manner.

· Support the Director with onboarding new clients.

· Liaise with clients to gain testimonials and write client case studies.

About you:

• Experienced Fundraising Leader: You have a proven track record of success with five or more years of experience in fundraising. You demonstrate the ability to develop and execute effective, multi-stream strategies. You can tell us about fundraising successes you have been an important part of.
• Strategic Thinker: You are adept at seeing the bigger picture, identifying growth opportunities, and creating long-term plans for organisations. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a creative growth mindset.
• Diverse Fundraising Knowledge: You have demonstrable hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: major gifts, legacy, and/or trust fundraising. Experience with capital appeals or with Christian charities/churches is highly desirable.

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown.  Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for exceptional candidates to join our team in a highly rewarding opportunity. Changes in clinical care, treatments and the experiences and needs of people with CF have prompted a dramatic increase in the breadth and volume of information we need to create. At the same time, AI, disinformation and misinformation mean accurate, trusted information is more important than ever.

To navigate the changing landscape of CF and health information, you’ll need editorial expertise and a commitment to engaging with and empowering the cystic fibrosis community through the development of high quality, engaging, accessible information in print and digital formats.

You will develop and maintain our extensive offer of health and other information, including our library of factsheets, special topic information packs, web content and videos aimed at people affected by cystic fibrosis and clinical teams. You will make sure that our resources meet the needs of our target audiences through sensitive and meaningful involvement with people with CF and healthcare professionals.

You will have experience of producing high quality, comprehensive information for people with health conditions from concept through to publication and a knack for making complex health information easy to understand. An understanding of and commitment to the criteria of the Patient Information Forum quality kitemark (the PIF TICK) is integral to the role.

This position will involve working on multiple projects concurrently, juggling priorities, being proactive in your approach and creating reactive information to address emerging issues. Communicating animal welfare science to both specialist audiences and the wider public is key to turning knowledge into real-world improvements in animal welfare. We are seeking a Scientific Communications and Content Assistant to join our talented Scientific Communications Team during an exciting period of growth and change for both charities.

The Scientific Communications and Content Assistant will support us to deliver our scientific communications strategy by helping to draft, design and publish engaging content for our print and digital platforms. This includes assisting with the creation of visual and written content that effectively convey complex scientific information to our diverse audiences.

The role will report to our Scientific Communications and Outreach Manager and work closely with the Public Affairs Lead and other internal teams to create engaging content for our audiences. Hear Us supports adults with mental ill health to access financial, health and social inclusion support in Croydon. We challenge restrictive and coercive healthcare practices and negative perceptions associated with mental illness, helping to reduce stigma and discrimination.

Purpose of Post: Ensuring that all available opportunities for raising funds for Hear Us are successfully exploited, managed, and maintained, contributing to the charity's financial viability and overall sustainability. 

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. This new role will play a key part in overseeing all financial operations of the organisation, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and transparency across our financial systems.

Working closely with the Director of Finance & Resources, the role holder will support the organisation in budgeting, forecasting, and year-end preparation. They will also contribute to strategic planning and performance monitoring alongside the wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong financial background alongside core organisational skills to support governance and office management, who is looking to work for a small organisation which makes a big impact around the world.

About You

You’ll be a qualified (or part-qualified) accountant or have equivalent experience, with a strong grasp of financial management and reporting in a dynamic environment.

Essential Skills and Experience

• A relevant professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Experience gained in a financial management role within a small or medium-sized organisation
• Experience in business planning, performance management, or impact reporting 
• Strong IT skills, particularly with accounting software and Excel
• Understanding of charity finance and accounting practices
• Strong understanding of charity law, governance best practices, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication, minute-taking, and document management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines

• Use lived experience to deliver personalised interventions
• Help individuals access the right services while promoting hope and positivity in line with the CHIME framework.​
• Support individuals in identifying goals, strengths, and support networks, offering guidance, encouragement, and follow-ups to help them achieve their aspirations.​
• Provide practical advice, information, and signposting while addressing barriers, including accompanying clients to appointments when necessary.​
