We are seeking a passionate and experienced Philanthropy Lead.This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in securing substantial financial support from high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations. You'll be responsible for building deep, meaningful relationships with major donors and implementing strategic fundraising plans that directly contribute to CAP's vision of transformed lives, thriving churches, and an end to UK poverty.

In this influential role, you'll manage a designated caseload of high-value donors, conduct face-to-face meetings, develop compelling funding proposals, and create bespoke stewardship plans. You'll work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify engagement opportunities and represent CAP at high-level events and conferences. With ambitious targets to achieve - including contributing to a goal of 17.5% of overall revenue from major donors within 3 years - this role offers the chance to make a significant impact on some of the UK's most vulnerable communities.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Proven track record of securing significant major gifts (5-6 figures) from high-net-worth individuals
• Minimum 3 years of experience in high-value fundraising 
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills 
• Strong strategic planning, analytical and problem solving abilities 
• Understanding of fundraising best practices and regulatory requirements

The role
 
This role will work closely with the Director and the Schools Programme Manager to provide broad and comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the overall running of this established and highly regarded family foundation. This will include ensuring existing systems and processes are adhered to and updated where necessary, grantees are dealt with promptly, cordially and professionally and the running of the office is efficient and smooth.
 
The role will be responsible for coordinating financial processes, grants administration, office and facilities coordination and executive support to the CEO in addition to arranging high level trustee meetings and wider administrative tasks as they arise. This role will also manage key relationships with contractors who offer external support such as Finance and Website development, in addition to responding to enquiries from existing and potential grantees, advising on process, eligibility criteria and application cycles.
 
The person
 
The successful candidate will have substantial office based, administration experience with broad and wide-ranging coordination skills, spanning office systems, stakeholder engagement, customer service, process management and facilities support.
 
This experience would ideally have been gained in the charity, education or arts-based sectors to compliment the work of the foundation, but similarly, could have been gained from the corporate or statutory sectors where thorough and highly organised processes and procedures have been crucial to success. Helpful, warm and friendly, but firm, fair and confident, this person will have an excellent eye for detail, will be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and will have a solutions driven approach.
 
Approachable by nature, this person will also be highly numerate, organised and efficient with strong IT skills and the ability to navigate databases and all standard MS Office packages to a competent level. This person will have experience of organising and facilitating high level meetings (for example trustees or senior leadership team) and capable of preparing papers and following up actions to ensure objectives are met and ambitions are achieved. Close, collaborative working is essential to success at the foundation so this person will be a real team player, happy to roll their sleeves up and help out wherever necessary.
 
This person will be naturally interested in the charitable work of the organisation and will see this role as an opportunity to play an important part of the effort to improve people’s lives and to create positive change in arts, education, social welfare and health in the UK.

Financial Operations Lead | Permanent | London - Hybrid | £43,941 + Benefits

For a well-known UK charity, we're recruiting a Financial Operations Lead on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Operations Lead will oversee all processing and reconciliation of financial transactions, accruals and prepayments, as well as VAT returns, and all day-to-day banking, credit card and investment matters. The Financial Operations Lead is a key role, supporting staff queries, liaising with HR on payroll returns, and supporting the development of robust month-end processes across the team.

What you'll be doing:

• Financial Transactions - support AP processing, and approval of invoices on the AR ledger
• Prepare payroll journals and reconcile all payroll information
• Prepare accruals and prepayments for income and expenditure and support month-end accounts
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns
• Support year-end with the preparation of note to the accounts including payroll, banking, fixed assets and investments

• Support wider teams with finance queries, and financial compliance procedures

About Breadwinners

Breadwinners is a multi-award-winning social enterprise and charity that supports young people seeking asylum and refugees to have their first work experience in the UK, selling organic baked goods. Since 2016, we have steadily grown, and we are looking for our first Senior Fundraising Manager to help us take the next step in our growth journey. Breadwinner's unique model provides work, training and personal mentors, so that young refugees can start and progress in their careers, using our platform as a stepping stone. We achieve this goal through three consecutive programmes, using our award-winning bread stalls in markets across London and Brighton and wholesale for socially-minded cafes and restaurants.

Over the last 7 years, we have made a significant impact in supporting over 744+ programme participants, with an impressive 93% reporting notable improvements in their overall well-being, 76% of our Breadwinners programme participants progress into work, further education or volunteering, and all this while minimising our Carbon Footprint by 20.5% through the sale of organic goods. This year, we are planning to double our impact with young refugees, with recently secured funding, new markets, and a focus on our wholesale model.

1. Risers programme: A two-month early intervention programme designed to provide structured work experience, training, and mentorship to newly arrived young people seeking asylum through our 18 stalls.

2. Breadwinners programme: The follow-up programme for refugees with the right to work, which involves working as a market stall manager for six months and earning the UK living wage.

3. Proofers programme: A progression programme that entails working remotely as part-time online sales representatives for six months, managing our wholesale delivery model.

We’re looking for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young refugees and people seeking asylum. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of strategic thinking, hands-on fundraising experience, excellent communication skills and a strong sense of purpose. Responsibilities

Fundraising from Trusts and Foundations

• Identify and research new funding opportunities to build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects.

The Business Intelligence Reporting Lead will be the MS Society’s leading expert in Power BI and other reporting tools, playing a crucial role in enhancing the organisation’s data maturity and decision-making capabilities. They will be responsible for the design, development, and management of BI reports and dashboards across multiple BI tools, overseeing their full lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, maintenance, and optimisation. This includes providing best practice guidance for reporting within systems such as Dynamics and Assemble.

As the expert of BI reporting, they will ensure that staff have access to data, and that reporting mechanisms remains available, effective, and continuously developed to address new and existing challenges. This will involve complex data troubleshooting, including resolving process inefficiencies, data quality issues, and user knowledge gaps. They will work closely with other teams to investigate and resolve these issues.

The BI reporting Lead will contribute to the MS Society’s data, digital, and technical strategy, particularly within Microsoft Azure data architecture, and play a key role in shaping the strategic use of BI tools across the organisation. Through independent research, collaboration with peers, and engagement with stakeholders, they will define the future direction of BI tools, ensuring that the MS Society can fully leverage its data for informed decision-making and operational efficiency.
