We are recruiting an experienced and ambitious Public Fundraising Manager who will share our compassion and commitment to animal welfare, to lead on the delivery of our public fundraising programme This role manages activity across individual giving, community & events, legacies and in memory, ensuring it aligns with our strategic goals and delivers long-term, sustainable income from these income streams.

Our Public Fundraising Manager is integral to our ambition to broaden our reach and deepen our impact by shaping our mass fundraising activities and working on integrated campaigns with the Fundraising Team, wider colleagues and external suppliers. This is a highly visible and important role for Mayhew and will work across departments to strengthen our case for support and employ it across a range of mass fundraising products, retention and acquisition channels, as well as delivering excellent stewardship and supporter experience.

As a senior member of the Fundraising Team, this role spans strategic planning and operational delivery and the successful candidate will be able to pivot from working closely with the Head of Fundraising to identify new growth opportunities, to project managing a direct mail appeal, to supporting their line reports to optimise their own day-to-day work and processes.

Generally, you will:

• Provide leadership and support to the Head of Fundraising as part of the fundraising team
• Deliver against income targets (£2.7m in 2026) and maximise the unrestricted impact of cash and regular giving income
• Develop and implement effective onward fundraising donor journeys, including legacy marketing
• Proactively improve supporter care processes, operations and relationships
• Lead innovation in our public fundraising approach in a test and learn culture
• Collaborate proactively across the organisation to find, develop and share stories that will inspire support
• Be a positive, empathetic people manager, inspiring your team and leading by example.

To be successful in this role, you need relevant experience in:

• A fundraising role in a charity of comparable breadth and scope with proven success in growing income, with experience in individual giving and one of community & events or legacies
• Being a great project manager and successfully managing multiple, often competing projects through to delivery
• Budget development and management, including regular forecasting
• Identifying and successfully implementing proactive initiatives to grow and diversify income
• Reporting and monitoring success so as to adapt and refine fundraising projects and products
• Successfully motivating, managing, and developing a team, whether through line management or project/stakeholder management

This Best Companies Top 50 mid-sized company and Top10 charity is looking to appoint a Trust Fundraiser (3 days per week) to manage and build relationships with charitable trusts and foundations, raising the funds we need to deliver and grow our support services.

Purpose of Role

As a Senior Fundraising Analyst you play a leading role in supporting the charity’s fundraising growth objectives through data analysis, supporter segmentation, and insight generation.

Working within the central Data & Technology Directorate you will work closely with the Fundraising Directorate to optimise fundraising strategies and enhance understanding of supporter demographics. You will bring data analysis skills to interrogate data within the CRM and reporting dashboards, manage data segmentation and extraction requests, and directly support Fundraising colleagues to optimise campaign activity through a multi-channel supporter segmentation approach. Your previous experience in a similar fundraising-orientated role and expertise in data analysis will be crucial for driving insights that improve our fundraising and impact strategies.

You are analytically rigorous, able to understand the opportunities data and insight offer and will have a consistent track record of delivering actionable analytics projects in a business partnering capacity. You’ll believe in the power of data and insights as levers for affecting positive change.

You will work at the heart of Comic Relief’s operations, supporting the organisation work towards a Just World Free from Poverty. You will work within the Data & Technology Directorate, reporting into the Head of Data Analytics, and will be supported in your technical learning, organisational integration and career growth from within this central team. Oversee and manage the segmentation within the CRM, ensuring the supporter experience when receiving communications from Comic Relief is as good as it can be.

Track performance metrics during events and provide immediate feedback and recommendations for optimization where appropriate.

Data Tools and Architecture:

Collaborate with other Analysts and Data Engineers to optimize data flows, improve reporting systems, and ensure the effective use of data across the organization.

Leverage Kusto (KQL within Azure Data Explorer) and Salesforce Non-Profit Cloud and Marketing Cloud to extract, analyse, and manipulate data from various sources.

Utilise Power BI to build and maintain dashboards that provide clear and actionable insights.

Support for Fundraising will include being hands-on with Salesforce Non-Profit Cloud and Marketing Cloud to build and manage segments.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Be a Business Partner for Fundraising teams to identify data requirements and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Brief role description:

This job acts as a ‘secretariat’ function for the Global Board, sub Committees and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the timely preparation of agendas, collation and circulation of papers, minuting meetings and managing action points.  This role also supports the recruitment and annual evaluation of trustees, the management of terms of office and any association board administration.

As part of a newly created Outreach squad focused on reaching and engaging with the bereaved military community, you will use digital marketing skills to help us develop a thriving online community. 

You’ll take full ownership of our day-to-day social media activity across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. From scheduling content and managing the calendar, to engaging with our audience and contributing to campaign ideas.You’ll also help deliver key marketing tasks that support outreach, engagement and growth, connecting families to the services we offer.

Social Media (Core Accountability) 

Planning & Scheduling 

• Own and manage the social media content calendar, ensuring consistent, relevant output aligned to Outreach priorities.

• Work closely with the Head of Outreach to refine platform focus, tone, and audience segmentation.

About The Role

As a new role within our organisation’s structure, the Head of Programmes position will be varied and evolving, with a strong focus on the line management and support of our front-line team, ensuring high-quality, consistent delivery across programmes. This role will line manage our Senior Employability & Engagement Officer and Programme Support Officer, and eventually lead on the recruitment and management of a dedicated Resettlement Officer role as funding allows. • At least 5 years of professional experience in the public or charity sectors, ideally in front-line service provision/support work and/or homelessness.
• Successful line-management experience, leading high-performing teams and embedding a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability.
• Track record of leading a programme of work and meeting key impact KPIs, metrics, and outcomes, including ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
• Strong communication and team-working skills coupled with solid organisation and attention to detail.
• Resilience and adaptability with the capability to work in a dynamic and agile environment involving significant contact with individuals living in temporary accommodation.
• Sound IT skills including confident use of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and/or CRM systems/other databases.
• A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of providing front-line resettlement support.
• Good working knowledge of relevant policy, legislation, and best practice  - benefits system, supported accommodation, safeguarding etc.

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

THE ROLE
You will lead the provision of full management accounting support for a portfolio of key business areas, offering financial insight, analysis and proactive business partnering. Working closely with a Mission Management Accountant, you will help operational leaders understand performance, make informed decisions and plan effectively.

Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering management accounts, forecasts, variance analysis and commentary.
* Supporting budget holders with budgeting, planning and monthly monitoring.
* Providing financial advice, insights and training to non-finance stakeholders.
* Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and month-end schedules.
* Supporting staffing/establishment analysis and headcount monitoring.
* Assisting income streams through invoice management.
* Producing financial modelling and strategic planning reports.
* Preparing year-end schedules and handling audit queries.

ABOUT YOU
* Significant experience in management accounting, budgeting and financial analysis within a large complex organisation.
* Fully qualified accountant.
* Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
* Ability to run full month-end independently.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Organised, proactive and solutions-focused.

Desirable experience: charity accounting, VAT/Gift Aid, KPI development, strong excel ability.
